Bacon wrapped scallops in maple syrup!
    Bobby S.

Our Maritimes adventure begins in Moncton. We stayed at the Rodd Moncton. See that review also. A short three minute walk from the hotel is this great restaurant. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops swiming in pure maple syrup. Holy Shit! They were amazing. We ordered Canadian wine just because. It was OK but I wouldnt hunt it down. Velvet had the house salad. She loved it. I had the Seafood linguini. It had lobster, shrimp and big scallops in a very flavorful cream sauce. I really liked it. The seafood was all fresh and cooked properly as was the pasta. The atmosphere was fish house nice. Service was very good. I hate that i cant remember her name.

Excellent and friendly service! Could tell this place is a local favourite and we were glad to get a table without a reservation. I had a mixed seafood dish that included a half lobster and baked potato. I was highly satisfied and drenched all my bites in the provided melted butter. Washed it all down with a local blueberry ale. Hit the spot perfectly. Colouring provided for our son to keep him busy while we chatted and waited for our food. The experience was perfect and highly recommend.

The Long Island wasn't touched & lobster roll was barely touched. Both not good.

A tad too pretentious for what they served. The waitress seemed a bit bothered by our existence. The food was subpar (lobster roll was not edible) and the Long Island iced tea was not good - didn't even take two sips of it. The restaurant is small so maybe that's why they expect reservations. Anyway, I don't recommend.

Great seafood location in Moncton. Party of four, went for some great evening dinner. Shared a couple of orders each of mussels and escargot, followed by a full seafood platter ea for the group. Presentation and flavor of food was outstanding. Id like to make a special shout out to our server Nicole. She was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. The whole evening was a huge success. We will be back

Great seafood in all it's variations and forms. We came for a late dinner and the dining room was still full. I spotted some tourists we've been bumping into all day. We started with the escargots, shared the lobster roll (with sweet potato fries) and the seafood casserole. The escargots came swimming in butter, but was not too salty which was very much appreciated. The lobster roll was the most reasonably priced lobster roll that we saw on the whole trip. It was packed with large chunks of lobster and made for a lighter dinner option. The seafood casserole was on the other end of the spectrum, with multiple types of seafood baked into a creamy cheese sauce. So heavy but so good! A great seafood dinner no matter how you like it prepared.

This is owned by the people who previously owned and operated Château a Pape. It was our favorite seafood restaurant until it burned. We just discovered this and enjoyed the exact same quality of food we did several years ago! I hope to see many visits in my future. The seafood casserole is the best. We also had fish n chips this time and it was also ver good. And I love the vegetables!

    Lobster Roll & Lobster Gratin

We ate at this restaurant because it was one of the only restaurants open late when we arrived in Moncton. The service was really good and staff were really nice. We got the lobster roll and the lobster gratin. The lobster roll was ok, but you can definitely find better elsewhere. The lobster gratin had a little too much butter. Also, it was a little overpriced for the portions you get.

Go here if you're super hungry! Big portions! Casual dining. There's some lobster tanks in the back of the restaurant...you can see your food whilst still alive. I didn't like my dish (coquille st Jacque) ... wasn't what I expected. Too much cheese and the scallops were tiny. The fisherman's platter was plentiful, but mostly only the lobster was good. The crab cakes were on the over crisped side. Everything else was ok only. Nothing to write home about.

Came in on a Tuesday night around 7pm and was greeted by a very friendly server. The place was packed, so I took a seat at the bar area. The decor is dated late 90's and the place is showing it's age. It started off poorly with a fresh warm beer, the server iced a fresh glass for me and poured me another slightly colder one. I started with the chowder as it was recommended, to my surprise it showed up with a skin on the top, which tells me that it's already served and sits under heat lamps. It actually was not hot, but it was decent. It went downhill from there with the "devils duo" or something like that. The only hot thing on my plate were the veggies that were soaked in butter. There was nothing devilish about the overcooked scallops and mediocre shrimp served on what I'm sure was jarred tomato sauce. $60 for a beer, chowder and a main is very steep considering the poor quality of the meal. Sorry, I won't be back here

Hotel clerk recommended this place and it was a good suggestion. I was with 2 other colleagues and we all enjoyed the food. I tried escargot for 1st time. It was delicious. Their bacon wrapped scallops are not to be missed. I had Devils Duo and loved it. This is evidently a family owned business with wait staff that have been there a long time so they must be doing something right.

Atmosphere was tired, floor was sticky, and there was an off putting smell about it. Food was underwhelming and overpriced.

Creamy and filled to the brim with fruits of the sea. Just when I thought there had to be potatoes in my spoon, my mouth was met with scallops on scallops on scallops. I love the way the restaurant prepared their lobster, minimally, as to preserve the natural texture and flavor of the ocean. The fries are made from locally grown potatoes, fried to crisp on the outside, starchy and squishy on the inside. The bacon tightly wrapped around the scallops, adding a sweet and salty note to a soft pillow. The mussels were bouncy meaty but was paired with a white wine sauce infused with an herb that we were not fans of (perhaps tarragon?). The 15-20min wait was well worth the meal. The bustling environment was telling of its popularity among locals and tourists. Takeout available and it also sells and packages freshly captured seafood to go.

Greasy tasty fish & chips!…read more Deluxe Fish & Chips (aka Deluxe French Fries) is a popular fish & chips restaurant chain with locations throughout New Brunswick and Truro, Nova Scotia. I know some people enjoy the fish & chips here, but others don't care for it, a love/hate thing. Deluxe now offers their fish & chips two ways: 1) Famous English-Style (Battered) and 2) now Crispy Light Breaded, you choose! Besides fish & chips, they also offer other fried seafood (scallops, clams), burgers, chicken fingers, poutines, lobster rolls, and Pepsi fountain pop. The fries are fresh cut. A Breakfast menu is served from 7AM-11AM. Specials and family meals are offered. The prices here seem reasonable. The place has a typical fast food restaurant atmosphere with counter (open food prep area with fryers) & overhead lighted menu boards and self serve seating. Free wifi is offered here (with a password). I stopped here for lunch before heading to the mall across the street. I ordered the 2 Piece Fish & Chips Special ($5.49 plus tax/normally $6.59), English-style! I was also asked by the cashier if I wanted to enter a drawing for a free iPad (a way to get your information), but I told her I live in the United States and not eligible to win. My order was ready in under 10 minutes and I decided to eat-in. The 2 pieces of golden battered fish had a very crispy/greasy coating outside and hot and oily inside, flaky moist texture. The light golden fries were nice & crispy and not too greasy. The food was tasty, especially the fries, but the fried fish pieces were very greasy and oily. It'll be crispy light breaded instead of English-style battered for my next order at Deluxe. WEBSITE: http://www.deluxefrenchfries.net

Came around 3pm. Not a single customer there. But the place looked pretty clean. They have clams, scallops, shrimp, chicken, lobster rolls, cheeseburger, chicken fingers, and poutine. I noticed they also have a new butter chicken dish along with flavors of crispy chicken flavored with different sauces. There's plenty of parking in a very large shopping center where they're located. The place didn't smell at all, which is good since it's a seafood place. They have a gender neutral bathroom. They do Uber Eats & Grubhub. They speak Mandarin Chinese. They must fry them fresh after breading them. I heard them fry my clams about 5 minuets after I ordered, and they fried them for about 2 minutes. I asked for a cup of water and they gave me a small cup of water. They're clams were good it included clam strips and bellies. It was very lightly battered, and not greasy! The clams were also not chewy at all. I don't think their business is doing very well. They have a big sign in their window that says "business for sale" and there's real estate papers advertising the property for sale. I was so full after eating the clams. I think they gave me about a pound of clams. There's only about 4 tables inside that sit about 3-4 people. I think they're mostly a take-out spot.

(This coming from a guy who loves KFC and McDonalds...) We also had a sugar doughnut each. They were perfect and tasted like homemade. I'd go back just for the doughnuts! We had our order to go so I can't really comment too much on the restaurant. There were a few seats, looked clean.
