Some buildings are even rented by folks who live on the grounds year round. Speaking of the grounds, I'll bet they're beautiful in season. I'm not much into museums or history. The staff is uniformly friendly and goes the extra mile to make you happy. The price is a bargain, particularly for customers who want 2 full meals per day (breakfast and dinner). Parking is free and convenient. All rooms have refrig and spacious sink countertops. However, I am forced to downgrade the rating due to the vehicle noise on the freeway side of the hotel. Due to poor construction and thin windows, you will hear cars and trucks roaring by your room all night long. The front desk was kind enough to provide a fan which provided some white noise, but we could still hear the freeway. Earplugs provided no respite. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are insensitive to noise
