Great concert venue. Beautiful architecture. Convenient metered parking nearby. Good seating lighting and ambiance. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean and plenty large for the venue.

Seared was soooo great!

Yesterday was my second time at The Vic to see a play. My friend and I saw Sleuth last year and the final show of Seared, both were absolutely fantastic. They make it easy to pick up will call tickets which is nice. Despite it being a smaller theater, it still has a big feel and the seats seem to be good from any spot in the house. It is easy to get in and out; the ushers are nice and the events have been well-organized. The stage designs have been pretty detailed/well thought out and the lighting and sound are spot on. As an added perk, my friend and I went to Bouchon for his birthday dinner to pay homage to the culinary theme of Seared. While there, the actors were walking by post-show and the lead stopped to talk to us and take a picture! Very cool indeed! Support local theater and arts! Definitely come check out Lobero Theater for a production! Side note: if you're going to see a show, put your phone on silent. Despite the theater making several announcements about this, we could hear cell phones going off throughout (no fault of the theater, of course). It's disrespectful and so distracting for the actors. It's 2023! Come on, now!

This is an intimate theater. There's not a bad seat. I've enjoyed many shows here. It's in a great area as well.

What a perfect little cozy and historical theater. Every seat is great. Loved the experience...

Excellent ambience and the décor on the ceiling is crazy beautiful, The lonely boys rocked the house that night.

Another great show at Lobero! They enforced covid protocols by checking vaccination cards and monitoring mask wearing, which I appreciated. Sound was great. I love seeing acoustic shows here and there's really not a bad seat in the house at this small venue. They also pour a good drink at a decent price during pre show and intermission.

Classy and classic music venue. I always expect a great show here. Consistent high quality performances are the norm.

Ask the Community - Lobero Theatre

I'm going to an event here in May, and this is my first time going to this venue. I was wondering if there were any bag size requirements or if they need to be transparent? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

A small clutch would work. But really, anything classy.

Are All-Ages welcome, unless specified in the Show Details?

Hi Leo, correct. All ages are welcome unless specified in event details. Thank you for your inquiry. Have a lovely day.

Do they serve drinks inside?

Is there anywhere to eat near the theater?

There are quite a few eating places within 4 to 5 blocks of theatre, however there is a wonderful place just a block away Called Intermezzo Bar and Cafe. Delicious food, drinks, indoor or outdoor seating. Enjoy.

Pricing was reasonable for what you get abbout $25 for adults, $20 for kids, and under 2 is free, which is nice. Staff was friendly and everything felt well-maintained. The water exhibit could use some love. Some of the hydraulic levers was either not working or you had to really work at it. My toddler was not strong enough to use them. One thing I like is that we were able to leave and come back after lunch. We got to make the most if our trip. I'm sure we'll ge back next year.

We got married at Santa Barbara Courthouse right across the street and celebrated our reception at…read morethe Santa Barbara Distillery -- and it was absolutely perfect. When we were first searching for a venue, the first person we met was Andrew. He took the time to show us the space, listen to our vision, and truly understand not just what we wanted, but why we wanted it. From that very first meeting, he gave us the impression that this team puts the customer first -- and that if something could be done, they would find a way to make it happen. That turned out to be completely true. From there, Melody and the rest of the team were communicative, quick, and direct, answering every question we had with care. The venue itself is spacious and stunning, with so much room to make the space entirely your own. We rented out all three spaces, which gave us the room to really spread out and create something special. One of our biggest selling points was that food, bartenders, tables, and chairs, etc. were all included -- we didn't want to deal with coordinating a dozen third parties just to have the basics covered, and the fact that it was all taken care of in one place was such a relief. They also offer plenty of add-ons to customize your package, and they were completely flexible with us bringing in our own photobooth and DJ -- making it easy to personalize every aspect of the day. The food was absolutely delicious (catered by our favorite - MIZZA) and the team was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process. If we had a specific vision for something, they found a way to make it happen -- no question too big, no detail too small. Our setup was pretty extravagant, with a whole team of family and friends bringing our vision to life, and Andrew and the staff jumped right in to help without hesitation. They made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and fun. On the day itself, Melody, Andrew, and the whole team made everything feel effortless and magical. Everything went completely smoothly -- we had absolutely no issues from start to finish, which is truly the greatest gift on your wedding day. They served dinner, kept the drinks flowing, and made sure we felt taken care of every single moment. Andrew especially went above and beyond -- my husband is obsessed with the bruschetta, and Andrew made sure a plate was saved and ready for him the moment we arrived. It's those little personal touches that set this team apart. So many thoughtful details made our day unforgettable: early access the day before to set up, coordinating with the restaurant next door to get our cake, letting me use the upstairs space to get into my dress before heading to the courthouse, preserving my flowers so I could enjoy them the next day, and giving us the grace to clean up the following morning without ever feeling rushed. If you're looking for a venue where the team genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for your big day, look no further. We are so, so grateful and would recommend the Santa Barbara Distillery to any couple looking for an incredible space to celebrate.

It's only about a five minute walk, which made everything so convenient for us and our guests. The food was absolutely amazing. Almost a year later, people are still talking about how delicious it was and how much there was. That alone says so much. On top of that, the pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially compared to other quotes we received that were honestly outrageous. The outdoor space with the fountain is such a beautiful bonus and really added to the atmosphere. The owners were wonderful to work with, even though I was planning everything from out of town. They were extremely accommodating and always responded quickly, usually within a few hours to a day, which made the entire process feel so easy and stress free. The wedding staff were also incredible, so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire event. They made sure everything ran smoothly and made us feel completely taken care of. I can't recommend this place enough. Definitely check it out!

It was recently beautifully refurbished into an oasis of an artisan strip mall and offers surprises both inside and out. The venue is wonderfully landscaped and offers great curb appeal, with ambient lighting and drought tolerant vegetation. The parking area is small but there are reserved spaces in a lot across the street where Low Pigeon Coffee is located. The exterior retains its original "mill" charm with natural wood siding and large industrial windows. You'd have no idea it housed several businesses from the front and that is what I appreciate. The facade was kept to look like how it always has, so it remains in tune with the neighborhood rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. You'll find the coolest courtyard just beyond the entrance which is shared by all businesses. It is well lit and offers ample seating and a few clean restrooms. I've been when there is live music and it's the ideal place to enjoy a beverage under the evening sky. There are a handful of small businesses occupying The Mill. I love the vibe of Potek Wine, the interior is intimate and the exposed barrels make for a nice backdrop. I'd say the star of the show is the Third Window Brewing which offers a large main room along with a secondary private patio and a rotating restaurant which varies from their in-house menu to nightly popup dining. A great vibe overall.
