Food was amazing, dancefloor is a great size, and the indoor/outdoor setup was a great addition in a downtown spot. We had ~100 guests, ceremony at the SB Courthouse in the sunken garden, which was a quick 5 minute walk to Villa & Vine. I can't express how great of a wedding venue this was for us! Communication was great from Chrissy. Tasting was well put together, they even allowed us to bring our pups. Hazel helped us rehearse the day before. The day of the wedding, everything was put together so beautifully. Alejandra the bartender was great and so nice to our guests!The staff was amazing at setting everything up. Such a Fun Time, Beautiful Venue and Attentive Service It's becoming increasingly rare to find spaces in California that feel historic the way this venue does. I thought it was great when I first visited but was completely blown away by how they transformed the space, and how considerate and on-it the service was. The team is so chill to work with and they accommodated our entire group of over 200 people. There were so many logistics we had to figure out because of our large party, and Chrissy, Allison, Hazel and Robyn went out of their way to solve them. If you can, absolutely go to the tasting for the event. I was expecting some solid wine options, but all of what we tasted was fantastic, competitive with some of the best wineries I've gone to. After looking at a number of exuberantly high-cost locations, we walked in Villa and Vine without any expectations. We figured it'd be another location that didn't fit our budget; however, after our tour, we were very pleasantly surprised. We had finally found a location that felt 'doable', especially as a couple who was going to do most of the wedding planning ourselves. We wanted a good location and good food, but also couldn't afford to blow our budget on either one, but V&V allowed us to achieve it all! The beautiful courtyard with string lights and vines is stunning alone. Its the perfect venue if you want to do low cost florals, it hardly needs anything at all! The food and wine was also a hit. We had guests who have been in the event industry for 20 years...we had guests who travel the world to wine taste...and all of them enjoyed the food and beverage at a price point my husband and I were comfortable with. Big win. Yes, Villa and Vine churns out weddings, but my month-of wedding planner assured me that this was a 'pro' because our wedding day would run smoothly -- and she was right. The staff are well rehearsed and very attentive to all the details (dropping/clearing plates, full drinks, tidying the decor on tables etc). I was asked multiple times throughout the night if I needed anything - I felt very well taken care of the entire evening. Perfect venue for a small Santa Barbara wedding in April! My husband and I met in Santa Barbara, so when we got engaged this was our ideal city to tie the knot. We just had our wedding reception at Villa & Vine this weekend. I don't have the words to describe how much we loved it! It was fabulous in every way! It's such a unique venue in a perfect part of town. It felt intimate, but not too small (we had @ 100 people which was perfect). My now husband and I wanted a different type place (no hotel ballrooms etc.) - somewhere where we would feel like we were hosting a fabulous dinner party with our favorite people...and this was it. We knew it from the first time we saw it (though we continued to see it a few more times when they were hosting events). Chrissy - the main event coordinator is absolutely fantastic!!! She worked with us on every last detail...and kept us apprised of everything (from new totals when we added or removed an item to insights on things that we may want to consider). She was easily accessible and proactive in communicating with us. She would follow-up with me to make sure I understood all the caveats and offer suggestions for ways we could keep the budget within reason. She is the absolute perfect definition of SUPERIOR customer service. Robyn was on site for the big night and worked with us prior to the event on the menu etc. She was also absolutely wonderful!!! She really made the night a success and we were so grateful to her...and the entire service staff (ALL of whom were so friendly, professional, attentive etc.). They all work so hard to accommodate requests and make sure your special event is flawless. The food was also amazing!!! Big kudos to the chefs / other staff for putting it all together! No rubber chicken here! We did a tasting (which I highly recommend) and loved ALL the food! It's simply delicious! We had a hard time narrowing it down. Our guests are still raving about the appetizer grilled cheese sandwiches (I highly recommend)! We chose the salmon and beef short ribs for the main entrees... though I will say at our tasting both my fiancée and parents thought their chicken was the best they had EVER tasted. We also had specific dietary needs for certain family members which they easily accommodated. I'm sure the bartender during our wedding was great, but I never saw him as Robyn or a staff member made sure I had my signature cocktail filled up and in hand all through the night! (Let's just say my first day as a married woman was spent with a bit of a hangover. ). The online pictures (or if you visit it when they're not hosting an event) don't do it justice! It transforms beautifully and magically! I'd recommend seeing it during a time they are hosting an event (it's easy to see on State Street as it's open etc.). We served dinner family style and LOVED seeing the interaction between the guests ("can you pass the salmon?")...it's just one aspect that really makes this place fun / different! Sitting under the stars and twinkle lights having family style dinner with all your favorite people... it couldn't get any better! We had our names on the Arlington Theatre marquee across the street which was also a fun touch! Our guests could see it from the venue. We also got some cute pictures in front of it as the sun went down. It's easy to find/centrally located (right in downtown on State Street) so we (bridal party) and several guests all walked back to our hotel after the party which was a fun end to the night. We had our Wedding at Villa and Vine, a truly unique gem. Crissy the venues lady in charge is warm, accommodating, and just all around on the ball in every single way imaginable. Our tasting was perfection but the Wedding, oh my gosh the Wedding! I am a professional photographer and let me tell you, this place offers the most gorgeous backdrops for a stunning wedding from the chandeliers to the draping curtains and abundant ivy. The location on State Street in Santa Barbara is perfect as it's close to the famous gorgeous courthouse which I highly recommend taking your photos at if you are not actually getting married there. Villa and Vine is a Wedding planners regal canvas. We hired a literal dream team between Tyler Speier our Wedding planner and Christianne Taylor our photographer. Tyler made our Wedding look like a romantic fairy tale dream. He is a true artist! Trust his process. Christianne is a marvel of a photographer and I can say that since I am one. They ALL work so well together as they are all very close. Back to the event, the food was so delicious! We served Filet and Chilean Sea bass, as well as many of their hors d'oeuvre's and everyone loved it all! I am still smiling so much from our wedding five days ago. Santa Barbara is near and dear to mine and my now husband's heart. This is where we had our first date, got engaged and now married. During our search for the perfect venue in Santa Barbara, we had a vision of something intimate and classy. Villa and Vine was all of that and more. Let me just say that from the moment we contacted Chrissy, it was such an easy process! She was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to our emails. She was timely with our meetings and made sure we were comfortable with everything so there weren't any surprises. Also, Shauna was super helpful on the financial side, making everything a breeze! On the day of our wedding, it was during a massive heat wave, the Villa and Vine staff made sure that ice water was readily available for our guests and the canopy was pulled to provide ample shade. Being the bride and groom, we don't get to see much of the behind the scenes of the day, but let me just say we and our guests were super impressed with how amazing the staff was! The service was outstanding! Not to mention how amazing the food was! Our guests were ranting and raving about the food even weeks later! We decided to go with the flatbread duo (amazing) and the Victoria Buffet (also amazing). The buffet included creamy mashed potatoes, arugula salad, grilled market vegetables, roasted chicken and braised beef short ribs. Everything was cooked to perfection! We did however, have some guests with specific diet restrictions that the chef and his team were able to accommodate. For the bar, we decided to put an allotted amount towards cocktail hour and then it turned into a cash bar. We are very pleased that we decided to do this and our guests seemed pleased to have a hosted cocktail drink. Throughout the night, the staff was incredible even when glasses got broken as people began to drink more. I cannot thank the Villa and Vine team enough for making our big day unforgettable! We hosted our wedding reception at Villa & Vine in April 2022 and everything was flawless! The food, the wine, the service, the decor, just absolute perfection! The venue is STUNNING. From the moment you walk in, you are wowed by its romantic feel, mediterranean vibe and modern touch. The vines along the walls, lemon trees, flowers along the hanging lights, arches, and lounge areas make for a stunning set up. The staff is extremely professional, always smiling and super courteous. And the food, oh boy the food, it is DELICIOUS!! The show stopper was definitely the braised short ribs, many of our guests saying it was the best they've ever had! We also loved the Petros wine and local craft beer served on tap, which many of our guest also raved about! The only thing I wish is that I could re-live this day over and over again! After I visited the venue and asked them to put together an estimate, I was disappointed to receive the contract which gives them an unlimited right to use your personal wedding imagery as well as photos of your guests for their advertising and marketing--the text from their contract is in quotes below. I kindly asked if they could amend this point but they were dismissive and not willing to discuss. I couldn't believe they didn't at least try to talk it through with me when I asked them to. I understand they would like assets to promote their venue but to force their clients is not a very thoughtful way to accomplish this. They could at least make it so that you grant permission for what and how they use. I do not want my personal wedding photos to end up as an ad on Instagram or Facebook or who knows where else. I plan to have children at my wedding and guests who also would not want their image plastered wherever Villa & Vine should like to promote themselves. I do not understand why they cannot accommodate an actually private event and I am so disappointed. "17. Permission to Use Photographs and Images. Client hereby authorizes Venue to use any photographic medium where Client or Client's invitees' likeness appears, or that Client creates produces or is any way involved in, and waives any right to final inspection. The pictures online do not do it justice and it truly is a site you have to visit in person. The venue transforms so beautifully at night. It provides such a nice intimate space to celebrate with loved ones and friends. Our wedding was small (50-some guests), and the venue felt very intimate and warm. This is not to say the venue is small, because it definitely has the capacity to fit more people without feeling crowded as well. I was more worried that our small guest count would make the venue feel empty, but it didn't. The venue It really is such a wonderful space. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the food! Oh my, the food!! My husband and I were astounded by the food at our tasting, and to be honest, I was somewhat skeptical about how great it would taste the day of, as cooking in mass quantities always tends to take away from the quality. However, the food did not disappoint. Food was a major factor in our choice in venue. We didn't want the typical "steak" and "chicken" wedding meal. V&V offers such a wide variety of delicious foods to choose from and it really made our wedding unique. We opted to family style, which had very generous portions, making all of our guests extremely happy. The serving staff and bartenders were also amazing! We received so many compliments from friends and family after the wedding about the food and service and how great it was. I cannot begin to express how happy we were with our experience at Villa & Vine. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Villa & Vine over Memorial Day weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. The weather, the venue, the food, the drinks, everything was awesome! Kristi and Dimitri as well as the entire staff really made sure that our day went off without a hitch. We had our first visit last year and Kristi showed us around the space, shared details about packages and pricing, offered us wine and allowed us to check things out without being overly aggressive or pushy. The space either speaks to you or it doesn't and it immediately spoke to us. We followed up weeks later to confirm everything and set our tasting. The tasting was a blast and we had a chance to work through our vision for our reception. We also got to spend some time with Dimitri working on our specialty cocktails. Kristi has great relationships with vendors throughout the area and was able to point us to a florist and planner who worked with our budget. She was so helpful throughout the process and never made me feel like I was being cheap when I looked for ways to control costs. She worked closely with my florist and planner and I found out that they even talked offline and texted one another late night about our wedding. She was great about checking in and following up on questions. We had multiple conversations along the way which was critical since I lived 2 hours away. Now that's service. The day itself went off without a hitch. Everything was well organized and just beautiful. The staff was super attentive and even accommodated some of my guests who had special dietary needs that I hadn't planned for with a special meal. Our guests were blown away with the venue, drinks and food from the yummy appetizers to the incredible meal (lamb chops and chicken). We opted for family style service. Everything was so good and there was plenty for everyone. Finally, the venue was just beautiful. Market lights were included with the venue and created a romantic atmosphere after the sun went down. We had garlands and lots of greenery throughout the space which really complimented the decor. We rented table cloths, chairs, cocktail tables and pillows for the lounge area. Everything else was included with the package which was great. We rented table cloths because the ones that were included with the package did not extend to the floor. I had my wedding here and was literally blown away. We coordinated the wedding from afar as we live in Seattle. We had a great wedding coordinator (la vie events) DJ (DJ Zeke) and florist (Alexis Ireland) that helped too. When we got to villa and vine after the ceremony in Alice keck Park, both my husband and I were blown away. It looked surreally beautiful. It was exactly what we'd hoped for and absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Not only that-but the food-oh the food. The appetizers were great-is recommend the truffle grilled cheese (it was spectacular) and the bacon wrapped asparagus. The dinner was served family style which I was a little skeptical about initially but it was so awesome. No one had to wait for food and it led to great community and plenty of food. I am a foodie-and I was really impressed with the food. I know I'm partial but the food was the best wedding food I've ever had. We did the roast chicken-which seriously was so good. Roast chicken can be rather plain sometimes but y'all-this chicken is tender and has a luscious light herb butter sauce on it that is so good. The short ribs were also super amazing. The sides were great too but the proteins felt like the stars. The staff were super attentive, had great bar selections and worked with us for some special requests. Our signature drink was the old fashioned and it's honestly the best we've ever had. The wines they offer were great too. The dance room was perfect. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more. We had originally planned for a Mexico wedding at an all-inclusive resort so that we wouldn't have to think about a million vendors. When our plans shifted to the US, the price-tag was our number one concern. Villa and Vine offered venue, food, tables, chairs and place setting for a very reasonable price. The only vendors we hired outside of that were a DJ, photo booth, photographer and planner. I did the flowers myself, which were simple, but the sheer elegance of the place made it look extra beautiful. The main perk...the food. DELICOUS! We went with the "South of the Border" theme, just to put the Mexico back in our wedding. We received so many compliments on the cuisine. Also, the staff. The staff at our reception was wonderful. So friendly and professional. Chrissy and Robyn were great to work with. They had solid suggestions on how to make the evening flow seamlessly, which it did. If I was to give one small complaint it was that communication was not always immediate. Sometimes it would take a few days to hear back from someone, which can be difficult if you're waiting on a confirmation after sending payment information. However, they are extremely attentive week of and especially day of. All of our guests were from out of town and the location was central to the SB area and easy to get to from anywhere in the downtown area. After researching many places in Santa Barbara to host our wedding, we were introduced to this venue through our wedding planner, and once we toured the space, we knew it was the perfect place to host our intimate reception. The open air courtyard is quintessential Santa Barbara, with its white walls, greenery, cafe lights, and gorgeous views of the Arlington. We had a gorgeous tasting to make our appetizer and dinner selections, and we were able to customize the menu to exactly what we wanted. Our guests cannot stop talking about how delicious everything was. I visited the venue multiple times before the wedding for various reasons, and Chrissy, Dimitri, Eve, and Robin were more than happy to accommodate. I love that we were able to play our own music through the Sonos system effortlessly, as we did not have a DJ or dance floor, and just wanted some background music to accent the reception. We chose to rent out the entire space, and I'm so glad we did. After an outdoor ceremony at the SB courthouse, we held our cocktail hour in the Arlington Room (the indoor space at Villa & Vine), and then dinner, dessert, and toasts outside on the courtyard. Then we held an after-dinner lounge back in the Arlington Room, and guests also gathered around the gorgeous mantle and fireplace. The staff at the venue were outstanding, and treated me and my husband like family. We had the best service, everything was flawless. We were able to start setting up at 9 am, and didn't have to end the celebration until midnight, which is far longer than most SB wedding venues. Even the next day when I went back to pick up a few items that were left over, the staff was so helpful helping me carry a few things to the car. We recently had our tea ceremony and wedding reception at this venue...and it was incredible. From the aesthetics of the Santa Barbara summer to the helpfulness of the entire staff, the place was perfect for what we needed. All our guests raved about the how beautiful the site was and how good the food tasted! The process leading up to the day was super organized, we were able to relax and trust that our event would be taken care of. Chrissy, Robyn, and Dimitri were always gracious with their help, and made the planning experience truly enjoyable. They were so accommodating to our needs and really helped us pull off all the events of the day. They let us get there early to begin the set-up process in the morning and coordinated all the different room changes throughout the day. This combined with the amount of flexibility they offered regarding our menu choices really made our wedding feel like "ours." We would highly recommend this location, once you get there you'll understand why. The atmosphere of the space will make any event stand out from the more traditional venues. We had our reception here on March 23rd, 2019. After an ordeal trying to find a new venue at just under a year out we found Villa & Vine on yelp. I emailed Chrissy at around 9pm and by 11pm that same night we had a tour scheduled for the coming weekend. Chrissy remained as crazy fast throughout the entire wedding process as did everyone else we worked with (Robyn and Shauna). After booking, they gave us a list of their preferred vendors which lead to our incredible wedding planner, Tyler Speier, who I would also very highly suggest. As for the actual wedding day, thanks to the amazing team of individuals we hired, who also all regularly work together, it was technically perfect. The waitstaff at Villa & Vine were incredibly efficient, the food was even better than it was at our tasting and we have received so much feedback that the cocktail hour was the best many people have had at a wedding! It was beautiful and when our guests (most of which are from Hawaii) were cold the heaters were brought out promptly. For a day filled with so much expectation and one that can be fraught with so much drama Villa & Vine and the team there are a safe choice that will deliver on all their promises. read more

Absolutely perfect venue for my wedding! Chrissy and her staff were truly incredible through out the process! They coordinated everything with our planner Tyler Speier who created a beautiful space! It was everything I expected and more! The wait staff and bartenders were truly professional and so polite! One thing I will definitely mention is the food! WOW! The braised short ribs and chicken were delicious! A big thank you to the cooks! For reference we did the family style dinner and set a limit at the bar (then it turned into cash) and it was ideal. read more

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Villa and Vine, and it was amazing. All of our guests raved about how well laid out everything was, how amazing the food turned out, and how on top of things the staff was. This a beautiful location if you would like a restaurant setting for your reception. I got the vibe that they discourage you from having your ceremony here. So here is why the 2 stars. We just drove 4.5 hours to get to this venue and we have to do the same back, with work tomorrow (it's 5:30pm). Our correspondence beforehand was through email and was polite and professional. When we got there we got a nice nod of acknowledgment. The bartender and a server/hostess were nice and said she would be with us shortly. I look at a table and see a binder of their wedding packages and 2 empty glasses of wine. I'm thinking this will be nice and all my questions will be answered. She came in and offered wine and photos to look through while she finishes. She comes back in to ask about our count. She then offers to show us around. She shows us some windows that will be open and a fireplace where the head table goes. She then turns to us like the tour is over so I ask about parking, which she politely answers by telling me what other people do, assuming our guests will stay in a hotel. She then tells us we can look around and will check to see if we have any questions. It was so very clearly that we did not meet her standard or she didn't think we could afford it. Every other venue we have been to made me feel like I was already planning my wedding there and was trying to sell me the venue. She showed us a fireplace and was more interested in her other clients, who were actually worth her time. So disappointed and frustrated because they have such great reviews. Wish she would have saved us the gas and time (since she knew we were making a long commute), but here's to a free glass of wine. read more

Love Villa & Vine! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here and couldn't have been happier with it. All of our guests kept saying how beautiful the venue was. Everything came together so beautifully, we hardly brought any decorations in since the venue is so naturally beautiful. The event coordinator there was easy to work and so helpful. The food through Petros is to die for! Literally all the food they offer in their packages are amazing as well as their wines! I am so glad our wedding was here and am blown away with how beautiful it all came together and the pictures look amazing because of how beautiful this location is. read more

Our rehearsal dinner was flawless, beautiful, fun, delicious, and so much very drink filled that several folks found it hard to drink during our wedding reception! We could not have been more happy or impressed with the job that you and all the talented and warm and friendly staff did on our behalf...truly a magical night! The food - DELICIOUS!!! As well as beautiful! The service - welcoming, warm, friendly, excellently executed.... Everyone from the servers to the bartender to the chefs... just an absolutely outstanding job. Not only did you impress us and my folks... every single guest was a little blown away... we heard repeatedly was how fantastic the evening, venue, food and service was....nicely done!! However -to be fair.. the job that Cade did as well as yourself... truly the reason the night was so successful! Cade was incredible and a real pleasure to work with. You? The space was really lovely and the woman who I dealt with Chrissy was so personable and quick to respond! We walked through a number of locations and really felt taken care of there. She was willing to go the extra mile for our wedding even offering wonderful recommendations based off of who we were. The location was also AMAZING! I had a small wedding brunch and reception at Villa and Vine and it was nothing shy of perfect. The staff were attentive and caring, the food was delicious and the location, though on a main street, was surprisingly private. Planning was easy, flexible, thorough and I truly felt like my desires were of utmost importance. I wouldn't change a thing about the entire experience! I highly recommend this venue! read more
