Omni Catering - Mediterranean Spread - Caterers Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

I planned an event in the montecito area from afar and Tiana and team were amazing! I did a small reception for 35 people at a private residence and the service, display and food quality was great! I'm a planner from outside state and it made me nervous to go with a caterer that I have tried before or even had a chance to do a tasting, but after reading reviews and stalking their instagram and blogs, I knew they would be a great choice. The services staff was friendly and quick to refill stations when quantities were low. Food was warm and tasty. Our party was set to be outside that evening but it ended up raining and we had to move inside. The team did the best with what they had to work with and the party was a success. They even cleaned up and were packed up and out pretty quick after the party ended. I will definitely use Omni again for future events I do in the Santa Barbara area! read more

I am an event director in Santa Barbara and I absolutely love working with OMNI. I've never needed to remind the catering staff what needs to be done; I've never been disappointed by the food, and they've never let me down. Their staff know the art of great service and can anticipate guests' needs down to the minute. My last event was complicated, with multiple moving parts, and it went off without a hitch. I wish I could give them a 6th Star! read more

Just attended a wedding reception catered by Omni at the Cabrillo Pavilion - the food was delicious, but most outstanding was the staff. The servers were fun and gracious and top notch. The bar staff who helped us load the leftover beverages to our car were beyond helpful. Have never hugged catering staff before, but these lovely people went above and beyond and it was hugs all around! read more

We just wanted to thank you and your team for catering our event. The service we experienced including my communication back and forth with you was amazing! The driver arrived early to deliver and came right on time to pick of the chafer. The food was by far one of the best meals we have had in an event like ours. Our family had an amazing night with delicious food. Thank you again for the professionalism. We loved the set up including the wooden boxes. It definitely tied into our decor for the night! Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend! We also did not have time to do a tasting and I was a bit worried about that but it was so worth it! Amanda tailored our menu to our specific event and was absolutely amazing to work with. read more

Omni was suppose to cater our wedding this October but due to COVID we unfortunately had to cancel. However, Omni let us move the deposit we put down for the wedding and put it towards the small bridal shower I had. Not only was the food absolutely delicious the customer service with Omni was amazing. Amanda was extremely understanding of our situation and went out of her way to make my bridal shower so special. She helped customize a new menu for us and responded to my emails so quickly. The day of the shower Enrique arrived on time with the food and drinks and made sure everything was perfect before he left. I truly recommend Omni to anyone who is looking for a catering company. I can't thank them enough for making my bridal shower so special and for being so understanding and accommodating during this time. Also, how cute are these mini patron margs Omni has!? read more

We were extremely happy with the service and food that Omni provided for our wedding. Prior to our event, Amanda did a great job communicating with us about all of our options and even assisted us in finding rentals. Everyone at our wedding was very impressed with the food, and the display they set up was beautiful. The person who set everything was very helpful and went above and beyond and we would definitely recommend Omni to anyone holding event in the Santa Barbara area. read more

Omni and their staff (Sara) is the best ever made the entire planning process from picking a menu that fit our budget and style to email response time and flexible changes were flawless. All my guests enjoyed and shared how good the food was and the service. They moved chairs for us and poured wine and so many other extra special services. The presentation of the food was perfect and we couldn't of been happier! read more

Our experience with Omni Catering for our wedding on 10/23/15 was nothing short of excellent. From the initial tasting with Sara to the big day, we couldn't have been more pleased. Sara was extremely responsive to all requests and made the planning process easy. There were a wide variety of options to choose from that worked with our budget, but we narrowed it down dinner to steak, salmon, and mushroom ravioli, along with salad/bread (buffet style). We also had a lovely cocktail hour with a variety of cheeses, cured meats, fruit, etc. All of the set-up and preparation went off without a hitch. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and our guests couldn't stop talking about the food. Oh, and we highly recommend the Lavender Lemonade as a welcome drink and having a s'more bar. read more

Wow. I cannot tell you how amazing the food was for our wedding. Everything from the drinks to the buffet to the late night snack was on point. I got so many compliments. The presentation and staff were all top notch. Cassie and Ursula did a fantastic job and made the process a little less stressful. Best catering company hands down. read more

Great new catering company for Santa Barbara. We have a contract with our company to use them as an option and they're one of the best, always on time and successful at putting together great meals. You'll notice much of the food is similar to Fresco cafe at La Cumbre which is solid in itself. Their signature salad is great with vinagarette, feta, cranberries, and candied nuts. I've had this type of salad dozens of times, yet their's is by far the best! Also have been able to have an event at their new meeting location. (I believe it's the old Chef Karim's) Its below SoHo downtown and pretty easy access. Parking is next door in the city lot. They have salads, sandwiches, and full meals (chicken)... all of which have been above average for expected catering. read more

Thank you to Cassie and the Omni staff for making our wedding nothing short of PERFECTION! My husband and I had a big) 320 person wedding at the Santa Barbar Historical Museum April 23, 2016. We had a food truck and food station style wedding where guest would immediately walk into a magical party/celebration and food and drinks would welcome them! Omni did not disappoint. They provided servers and bartenders, amazing execution and presentation for all cocktails, appetizers, a chef manned mozzarella bar and taco station. The appetizers were to die for! That was all I had all night--tuna tar tar, shrimp on rosemary skewer and feta/watermelon cups were all outstanding! I was so busy bride-ing it up that I did not get to see the chef manned mozzarella station or try the tacos and homemade tortillas but, the guests raved about it! Cassie was even there all night making sure everything was on point! She is super sweet! My husband was a little hesitant to spend so much on catering company but, he said it was 100 percent worth it and praised Omni for exceeding all his expectations! Cassie also sent us a thank-you card and was super kind to pay for some broken glassware to help us out! Thank you Omni--I will post some professional pics to follow when I get them. Job well done, Casey and Shannon Barbaro read more

We hired Omni for our September 10, 2016 wedding in Santa Barbara! Cassie at Omni is an absolute dream to work with. She held my hand through the entire process and took so much of the stress off my back. Not to mention how accommodating (and creative!) Omni was with all of my requests and revisions to the menu. I asked if they could do a 'make your own avocado bar', and Cassie didn't even blink before saying 'not a problem'! The chef literally had a proposal written up for the off-the-menu request later that day. Up until the two weeks before, Cassie was helping us stay within our budget by double checking my rental quote and offering solutions to cut costs. Day of, Omni seamlessly executed welcome beverage service at the ceremony, cocktail hour and appetizers, followed by a family style dinner at reception. Her staff was professional and friendly and the bartenders were extremely efficient in keeping the drink lines to a minimum. Cassie (and her team!) really went so far above and beyond. We are so deeply touched by her kindness and help and are sincerely grateful for the monumental role she played in making our big day so special. read more

Amazing! We used Omni for our wedding. We did a taco bar with fresh tortillas (made right in front of guests!) fish/steak tacos and rice/beans/corn. They were also able to make fresh-to-order churros for our dessert! Sara was easy to work with and helped us develop our menu. She also helped coordinate our rentals. My husband's office also uses Omni for catering their meetings and their salads and sandwiches don't disappoint. Omni was professional and helpful throughout the wedding process (which can be quite stressful!). read more

Cassie and the rest of the team at Omni did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding. She handled the menu, cupcakes, outline, and the entire set-up for the wedding day (including our decorations that didn't even come with Omni). Cassie made this day so incredibly stress-free! The food was outstanding, every single guest complimented us on how delicious it was! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I am so thrilled with Omni! I would highly recommend them for any event needed catering! read more

I have worked side by side with Omni catering over 6 times now. They never cease to amaze me. They have amazing food and the BEST service. We loved Omni! Omni catered our wedding at Sunstone Villa this month and they did SUCH a great job. Cassie was our main contact and she was such a pleasure to work with! She was incredibly kind, understanding, and so thoughtful on the day of our wedding. She made sure that everyone was taken care of and we couldn't be happier with the level of service we received :) Usually wedding food is something to be forgotten, but I still get messages from our guests saying how great our food was. Given that my husband and I are huge foodies, it was important for us to have food that all of our guests would enjoy. One guest even said that the oysters that we had at our oyster bar during cocktail hour were the best that they ever had - and she owns 2 restaurants in Chicago! Everyone, including my fiance's 94 year old grandfather, left our wedding so full and happy! I would highly recommend Omni (and especially Cassie!) for your wedding! The food and service were amazing!! read more

My review is based upon purely the communication with this company. I'm disappointed with communication of this company. I emailed not once but on two occasions to obtain inquiries. The first time I emailed at the end of 2019 when we first started to plan our wedding. We had a couple emails in regards to the menu and then never heard back. I was not upset because I was still waiting to book my venue and date. Once COVID hit our plans changed and we had to move our wedding to summer 2021. We booked a location along with and date. Now forward to October of 2020 I was in need of a catering and I wanted to give Omni another chance. I sent the email and got a response on what we are looking for and our price points. Then was told I would receive some menu options. I waited over 7 days and not one single email or follow up. I'm truly disappointed. It made me feel as I was not an important potential client. Truly disappointed. I hope this can be opportunity for growth in their communication with potential clients. read more

As a wedding planner, I had the joy of working with Omni and their fantastic team on New Year's Eve for a wedding in Santa Barbara. Not only was the food amazing, but the crew was on-top of things! They were always ready to assist guests as needed and even had a couple plates warm and ready in the back for a few people who arrived to the dinner late. I will say the coconut shrimp appetizer was my favorite; I also love their late night "grilled cheese" trios- grilled cheese sandwiches made with bacon, pear and brie. It was a treat for the guests to have such an amazing "snack" after their dinner of salmon and flank steak with fresh grilled veggies. Thank you, Omni! read more

Cassie and the team at Omni provided two luncheons for our garden club (38 women traveling from La Jolla). Our first luncheon was served in the gardens at Lotusland. The second they delivered box lunches for us to eat on our bus ride home. Both delicious and perfect in every way. Highly recommend working with this wonderful company read more

We used Omni for a small pre-wedding reception for around 21. Ordered 3 kinds of sliders (beef, pork, and portobello), salad, crudite, drinks. Worked with Cassie. The food was so delicious, and Cassie was very prompt in replying back to me with my questions. The set up was beautiful, and the servers were so polite and courteous and very sweet. The food was so fresh. We highly recommend them! Absolutely no negative comments. The guests all enjoyed the food. read more

Omni Catering was highly recommended by our venue and their food was awesome for our wedding. Everything went smoothly and I think they were definately a part of that. And everything looked awesome. I will admit that there were some communication issues at times, but the food being great (our guests raved about it) and the level of service on the day was top notch and made up for it. My husband and I always felt very taken care of whether it was during dinner or every time we went to the bar. We are so thankful to have had Omni cater our wedding and to have Sara Hays help with our day of coordination! We had New Orleans Cajun style food which was all delicious! We also had a bananas foster station which was so much fun! Our guests commented on the quality of the food the whole evening! Sara was lead and coordinated all vendors, the food was absolutely wonderful, Omni's team had great communication skills through the whole planning process, and everyone at Omni made us feel confident that our event would go just as planned! Omni Catering is very professional and all were tentative to our needs and our guests needs. We really appreciate the attention to detail. I was recently involved in a friend's wedding and Omni catered both the rehearsal dinner and the reception and everything was perfect! The food could not have been more delicious and the servers were attentive and friendly. The highlight of the cocktail hour was the avocado bar (Such a miraculous thing exists?!?!) and the cocktail prawns and the buffet during the reception was phenomenal (highlights included the perfectly cooked salmon, the creamiest mashed potatoes served with baked potato toppings!, and the delicious mac and cheese). Absolute perfection all around! read more

We recently used the services of Omni Catering at The Narrative Loft where I work as the Event Director. I was in touch with Sara Hays for weeks leading up to the event - as she did an incredible job with all of the event coordination throughout the entire process. Sara was friendly, easy to work with, and extremely professional. On the night of the event all of the Omni staff members did an amazing job with set up and preparation of food to the 100 plus guests at the wedding reception. The food itself was a huge crowd pleaser, and the staff was attentive and helpful. I look forward to working with Omni in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing food, good prices, and low stress during planning! read more

My wife and I chose Omni to cater our wedding in Los Olivos in May 2015 and couldn't have been happier. Here's a few highlights particularly for anyone planning a wedding: 1. Omni scheduled a personalized/individual tasting just for us! My wife and I live ~300 miles away, so the only time we could meet with them was during a Thanksgiving drive down to see family in LA. We had listed some menu preferences (and some custom recipes) and they made it all! And I'm not just talking about little bites... they let us sample the whole meal before we even put down a deposit. As a side note, the other caterers that we met with only did monthly tasting events, so when we met with them, it was only to talk about food, not taste it. 2. Cassie is amazing! So great to work with and incredibly responsive. She understood we'd never done this before, so she guided us through everything without stressing us with all the details (e.g. she put together the entire list of rentals). We even found out last minute that our rental company couldn't provide us high chairs for a few family members with infants, so Cassie called around to other companies the week of the wedding. I would give a 6th star if I could just for that. 3. The food was incredible, but we already knew this because they offered us a private tasting. This was really important to us... we wanted our guests to remember the meal they had at our wedding. 4. The service was outstanding! This was the part that surprised me. I expected our guests to complement the food, but didn't think we'd be getting complements about the service. We had about 5 or 6 toddlers sometimes sitting right in the walkways, but the wait staff didn't get annoyed. The deftly maneuvered with a smile on their faces 5. They get things done. For a couple planning a wedding, the value of a vendor who takes care of things without a ton of questions or without prodding cannot be understated. Our florist (who was a friend/guest of ours) brought several items to decorate tables but didn't know where to put them or how to arrange them (she was busy enough as it was with the floral arrangements). She told us that she just handed them over to Omni and without any questions Omni laid them out in a beautiful arrangement. Long story short: very, very happy with Omni! read more

We loved working with Omni for our wedding in Santa Ynez, California this past August! Sara was amazing from the start - so incredibly kind and so well organized - she made us feel confident with our decision from the beginning. They were the most affordable caterer we could find for the quality of the food - and the food was truly delicious! They also provided all of the serving staff, bartending staff, and bar supplies which was so helpful since we had to start from scratch and bring everything into our venue. We also heard from all of our guests that all of the serving staff was amazing! Couldn't recommend them more! read more

I hired Omni as my caterer early in the wedding planning process. They had such wonderful reviews and were recommended by my venue. I worked with Sara throughout my planning to come up with the best menu options and all of the reception details. She worked incredibly hard with all the little details, she responded quickly to emails, and she came full of recommendations and ideas for me to pour over. I worked with her until just days before the wedding and she was an absolute delight and so incredibly helpful. When it came to the big day, Zoe was working the event. I was able to communicate any last minute details/changes to her, and she made sure the wedding was fabulous. The entire staff that worked our wedding was excellent. The bartenders were fun and creative, and our guests really enjoyed it! We also have guests still complimenting us on our food. It was delicious! I have no bad things to say about Omni. They were more than amazing and I would hire them again. read more

Since the first time we met with Cassie, and the entire staff of Omni, they were so hands on, and ready to make our day perfect. The food tasting, blew us out of the water, and we knew from that point on this was a team we wanted to work with. Cassie, and her entire team were hands on to each and every call, and email up until just a couple of days before the wedding. They answered all questions that we had, and made us feel so comfortable in knowing they were there to assist us in every need we had. The wedding could have not been more perfect, and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We had comments from so many of the guests on how great the wait staff was, and how incredible the whole meal from start to finish was. I got married in Santa Barbara on 3/7/15 and worked with Omni and their event coordinator, Cassie, for our catering needs. Omni was absolutely terrific to work with. Everyone was nice, professional and knowledgeable, and they did a wonderful job with our wedding. We wanted to do a buffet style dinner, but wanted to incorporate the Spanish feel of Santa Barbara and our venue (the historical museum) in to the food, instead of the normal beef/chicken/salad and potatoes kind of buffet. Cassie worked with us to come up with a delicious Spanish themed dinner, and delicious appetizers for cocktail hour...including a quesadilla bar that everyone raved about! Our guests loved the food and the beautiful presentation by Omni. We also did an ice cream sandwich bar for our dessert instead of cake, which was incredible. Omni knew exactly what was expected of them at our venue, which was very helpful for a bride who doesn't want to be worrying about vendors all day! They also coordinated all of our rentals, which was a total lifesaver. They were very up front about costs and there were not any add-ons or surprises on the bill later...we paid exactly what we thought we would. I would absolutely recommend Omni Catering for events in the greater Santa Barbara area. The food is wonderful and the staff are friendly and easy to work with. read more

I had such a great experience working with Cassie and Omni Catering. I had a really specific vision for the catering for my wedding and they pulled it off perfectly. Cassie listened to what I wanted and gave me tons of great ideas to choose from; plus she was a lot of fun to brainstorm with! We ended up with an awesome taco bar with the meat grilled on-site on a huge charcoal grill (it smelled amazing), tortillas were handmade and grilled at the buffet table, and spicy margaritas washed it all down. Omni was even willing to incorporate my dad's recipe for charred corn with manchego and lime. We also did a s'mores bar that was a lot of fun. All of the food was beyond delicious and our guests are still raving about it. I can't recommend Omni Catering highly enough. read more

we used omni for our wedding in june 2016. we had a great experience and thought their food was outstanding, however, i will note a few hiccups from the wedding: 1. some of the servers were calling our bordeaux blend wine a "merlot" - big oops misinforming guests. 2. oddly, some of our wedding guests witnessed one of the servers using the women's restroom and did not wash his hands. 3. one of our tables did not receive their food until much after everyone else and mentioned their food was cold. (for reference we had about 120 guests). i wished we hadn't encountered the above, however, we did have a great experience with omni overall so i would recommend them / use them again. read more

My fiancé and I were a little suspicious about hiring a full catering service team for our wedding, but we are SO glad we did. Because of Omni, our wedding was seamless when it came to food and beverage service for our guests. We received so many compliments on the food (we did a Mexican buffet, with taco choices, beans, corn, and all the fixings, guac, homemade tortillas and salsa) and received a lot of praise about the bartenders! They poured the drinks strong, and made our guests anything they could with the mixers we provided. Also, being a designer, I was worried the tables would look bare, but they provided décor to style the food and bars very nicely. Cassie was super sweet, fun, and easy to work with through the entire process. We didn't get to do the tasting because we had to work, but we sent my parents to enjoy and they took great care of them and my parents left impressed. Overall, if you can afford to pay the extra money for Omni's catering team, they really do make a huge difference and go above and beyond... your guest will notice and hopefully thank you! read more
