This is the best taco catering I have ever experienced. The husband and wife are the sweetest and their tacos and chiles are amazing. Not any taco bar, made to order, they catered my grandsons first birthday party and everyone loved them, cannot say enough about them, their business cards where all gone when people wanted them. read more

Paulo And Vinnie were amazing! so easy to plan they made it all so smooth and the food was incredible. they did Tacos for our rehersal dinner for our wedding, and then did a giant amount of snacks and quesodillas for our welcome party. Every guest we had came up to us about it. They were even nice enough to customize the colors to our event without us even asking. Couldn't recommend them more! read more

They catered a party I was at. Better than most "Mexican" foos in town. Blue corn tirtillas homemade,

We hired Blue Corn Tacos for a family celebration this past weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased with the delicious taste of the food and the warm, caring attitude of the owners. They wanted to make sure they could give us the utmost experience by coming with flowers and themed presentation to fit our 1st birthday party. Paola and Vannia took the food to a new level off deliciousness by elevating the flavors to a fresh, unique taste. Our discerning family were impressed by the high quality and we all kept coming back for seconds and thirds. I recommend them highly and hope to use them again when we are back in town. I am confident that if you hire them you will be so happy with the experience. read more

Delicious, quality, and unique tacos delivered with a smile! Paulo and Vannia catered our wedding at the Palm Park Beach House, and I couldn't say enough great things about them! Post-wedding, our guests raved about the caterer, a couple stating that the shrimp taco was their favorite. We were left impressed by their kindness, dedication, quality of food, and attention to detail! 110% would recommend, they're rated #1 for a reason read more

Blue Corn Tacos catered a family birthday party at a park in Goleta, and everyone absolutely loved the food as well as the owners, Vannia and Paulo, who are really wonderful. I would highly recommend them for any event. They were a pleasure to work with, and flexible on a menu they created for us, including three different types of vegan tacos -- yes, vegan! They actually specialize in great meat tacos (which we've heard outstanding things about from friends who previously worked with them), but given our food preferences they generously modified their menu and made the best vegan tacos we've ever had, with sweet potato, cauliflower, and papas con rajas tacos. (You could also easily have them make these vegetarian rather than vegan if you prefer normal cheese, and we had them make standard and very delicious vegetarian cheese quesadillas for the kids.) Finally, their set-up itself is really beautifully designed -- Vannia made a gorgeous custom sign for the menu and laid out all of the food and chips and guac beautifully. We are excited to work with them again in the future! read more

Paulo and Vianna blew our minds! From the moment they arrived at our Airbnb, their kindness and professionalism was top notch. They make you feel like you've known them for years, like family. The food was exceptional! The presentation was 10/10 and everything on the menu was awesome. I would highly recommend blue corn tacos catering to anyone who is looking for an authentic family recipe culinary experience! 10/10!!!!! read more

¡Ay Caramba! I had been stalking the Blue Corn Tacos husband and wife team (Paulo and Vannia) on Instagram to see where they would land next. I had the opportunity to try them out during a pop-up event at Old Town Coffee in Goleta--and I'm so glad I did! They started serving at 11 am and they were slammed straight through until they ran out at 1:30 pm. The demand was high and fierce! Business folks, entrepreneurs and college students alike showed up to enjoy their tacos. Vannia is super friendly, outgoing and has a elephant-like memory for details. When I asked for extra cilantro, she was sure to make it happen. I ordered their slightly larger Ranchero taco (steak, pinto beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and feta cheese; $6) and their daily taco special of Camarón (marinated shrimp, shredded cabbage, cucumber salsa, sriracha sauce; $6). Both were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and unique. Although the tacos already come with sauces on top, there are additional salsas and limes available. Their Roja salsa has to be one of the best salsas I have ever eaten. It was slightly spicy but had all the flavor and more than one would expect. There was so much complexity to it that I can only imagine if Vannia made a molé! On a similar note, I would also drizzle their Almond salsa on anything and everything if I had the opportunity. While Vannia takes requests and payment, Paulo works the grill quickly and efficiently. He lightly browns the homemade corn tortillas which is the perfect base. Obviously using blue corn tortillas and being mobile makes Blue Corn Taco Catering stand apart from competition like Corazón Cocina. If you're curious why there's a craze for blue corn chips and tortillas, it's simple: they're healthier. Blue corn tortillas contain twenty-percent more protein than their white corn counterparts, plus they also have less starch and a lower glycemic index for diabetics. Win-win! I absolutely love that they make the salsas, blue corn tortillas and meat marinades all at home and by hand! You can tell too. Yes, they aren't as affordable as a taquero would be on the corner of Milpas Street, but the product truly stands out. For me, small details like a fresh flower bouquet on their table makes all the difference. It doesn't get more local or small scale than this folks. Support them! A few tips: - They are at Low Pigeon Coffee Roasters every Saturday. Otherwise, follow them on Instagram to find where they're serving next. - All credit card transaction have a 50 cent charge, otherwise they accept cash. - Don't miss out on the additional salsa! I am hoping they will provide chopped cilantro next to the limes down the road. (Me oíste, Paulo?) - They can be hired for any events or parties. read more

I was very impressed! The tacos were delicious. I went to a Halloween party where Blue Corn Tacos was catering. The invite said taco truck, so I was expecting a typical taco truck feast. Instead I was handed 2 gourmet tacos. The al pastor taco had chunks of pinapple and bursts of flavor. The other taco was sweet potatoe topped with corn nuts! Yum! read more

These guys are great!, We had them setup for a 2 year old B-day lunch, The night before we had to cancel due to illness. They were not only able to rebook, and completely reasonable with a very minor cancelation fee to cover the cost of the food already prepared, but they actually came over with the food for my family to enjoy. The customer service, care for details, and overall positive attitude combined with fantastic food and super reasonable prices makes this company one I would highly recommend. read more

Paulo and Vannia were so fantastic from start to finish. If we could rate them higher than 5 stars we absolutely would. They were communicative, organized, flexible, kind, and generous. The two of them were more than capable of handling a large crowd and unique requests for our rehearsal dinner. In fact, they went above and beyond by helping create some aesthetics for the event and handled completely relocating their setup at the last second. I can't say enough how fortunate we were to get to work with them. I haven't even discussed the food yet!
