ZERO STARS IS MORE ACCURATE I am writing this to warn…read moreothers about the incredibly poor experience I had with Agave Mortgage Brokers. Their performance throughout the entire process was utterly pathetic. They seemingly cannot read basic financial documents--specifically Shareworks statements. They saw and requested the exact same documents on over 10 separate occasions. Then, finally, on the 11th time, they actually decided to look at them and ask questions about the accounts and statements. This absolute incompetence caused a massive, last-minute pivot and wasted 2 entire months of my time just to get to that point. Combined with horrible communication along the way, it was an incredibly stressful and unprofessional experience. Save yourself the headache and take your business to a broker that actually values your time, communicates transparently, and knows how to review basic paperwork. Avoid them at all costs.

NACA has been a godsend to me through my lending process for my first home. I was initially…read moreapproved through a traditional lender for both FHA and USDA loans. In my process of sourcing more details about the nuances for a USDA loan, I found reference to NACA on a social media site. Their mortgage process sounded almost too good to be true. No down payment, no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, and a lower interest rate than the current market? It was beyond what I was hoping for and, although I'd heard it can be long and tedious, I could see the worth. I started my application on 4/27/2025, completed the education process over the following weekend and was able to get an intake appointment scheduled for 5/9/2025. After discussing my situation with my counselor and providing all documentation needed, I was able for qualify for more than initially approved through traditional methods! This means I can actually buy a home closer to my kid's school in Chandler. PLUS I feel thoroughly supported in the process, well informed, and excited for the next steps! Highly suggest taking the steps NACA requires, as it's well worth it! Beyond what I'm getting from NACA, I'm also so excited to give back through their participation requirement of 5 volunteer events per year. I love the idea of sharing my story and advocating for the process with other first time home buyers and single moms like myself. Everyone deserves to achieve the American Dream, and I'm excited to become a homeowner soon. Take the leap! I'm glad that I did.
