Like many people, I had to cover real needs in a tight moment. What I didn't know is that the moment would stretch into months of confusion, overpayment, and a balance that never seemed to go down. I paid over $5,700. I have the receipts. I've tracked every transfer, every withdrawal. But one day they told me I still owed more than $3,100. And then they took my car. It didn't matter that I'd made all those payments. It didn't matter that I asked them to show me the breakdown, explain the math, help me understand. I sent letters. I called. Handful of times being put on hold, then disconnected, then transferred to wrong departments. Fees are ridiculously high. To make payments you can't pay directly to them, you have to use a third party service, which charge a fee. Towed my car after being late for 31 days, without notice, then had to pay entire loan before getting it back. Was told I didn't have to pay any fees at the tow company, which was a lie. On top of another fee to the police department. If you're looking for a title loan, seek elsewhere. They have several lawsuits against them. I spoke to 5 different people and nobody was updated. Let's not talk about lunch, 30 min? Nope.. 1 hr? Nope... 2 hrs maybe a response. If you upload docs online, expect 48-72hrs for any funds. So, you could in theory be paying the minimum payment for 2 years if you got a $2500 loan. Then, you pay them 350/400 every month. If you're late, they call you all day long and threaten to take your car, despite any family illness, hardships, etc. You could have this go on for two years, pay back almost 10k on a 2500 dollar loan, mess up your credit and lose your car. I applied for a personal loan through this company. I had to use the title of my vehicle to receive a loan. While the loan was fast approved and received, it was nearly impossible to pay off due to high interest rates. I pulled out money from my savings to pay off the loan. I have now been waiting 3 months to receive my title back. After speaking with them today I was told my title was mailed to me on June 8th. I verified they had the correct address. They requested I send the title via Fed ex With a tracking number with my money out of pocket. Mind you they charged fees out of the loan itself and they did not return my title the same way. The lady I spoke with said she will have to ask a manager if they can send a duplicate title. It sounds to me like they screwed me out of money multiple times and now I have to apply for a lost title which is more money out of pocket. Worse loan company ever. Lost my title and continue costing me money even after the loan is paid off. I haven't spoken to the BMV yet but what a financial mess! read more

I took out a loan with loanmart back in 2016. For $2600. My loan now is up to $3,800. This place does not work with you all they do is threatened you and tell you if you don't make this payment right now over the phone you need to surrender your car. A collector named Monica called me this morning and asked me to make a payment on the car and I told her that I get paid on the 8th and that I could make my payment on the 8th of February. Right away she said if you don't make this payment right now you need to surrender your car. I told that's fine but the car is not working and that it needed a water pump. So I can't drive it. Her voice turned aggressive and loud. She wouldn't let me speak at all. I then told her that I probably could borrow it and send it this week she told me NO bring it in. I replied that I could not and as she is yelling at me saying that car is your responsibility and that you better turn the car in or else. And I don't care how you get it here we are going to put it in auctiono today I explain to her that it wasn't running and when I let her know that she told me I don't care you better get it here. All this was recorded by the way. I then replied how are you in Customer Service you talk how can you talk to me like that? She said I'm a collector and that's how we talk to people cause we can, I am a collector I'm not in Customer Service so I can talk to you that way. I have had it very hard for the past 6 months and I am 48 days late on my December payment. I am 2 payments behind. Two payments. But since 2016 each payment I have turned in hasn't taken my loan down at all. If you are a day late they charge you $10 a day until the payment is made. They gave me a loan on a 17 year old Honda Civic LX 2002 with over $200.000 miles on it. The loan is worth more than my car. I couldn't get $1000 on it if I tried. About a month ago I got a title loan from Loan Mart. Joseph Perez (loan officer) helped me. Right before the loan was funded I asked him how many payments do you miss until they come and get the car? He said 3 payments. On the third payment, they will get the car. Well, the first payment I was 15 days late due to I was in the hospital with covid. On the 16th day, my car was gone! When I got out of the hospital I had to pay Coastline recovery towing 90.00 to retrieve my personal property. They charged me for days that I could have been there to get my things but they had no appointments available but still charged me (this was not my fault they made me wait). I have called loan mart and they keep telling me they are going to look into this and call me back (still waiting it's been a week or more). I requested for them to listen to the tape-recorded conversation between me and Joseph Perez and he gave me incorrect information about their guidelines. He flat-out lied to me! But this is what this company does and they do not care or they would have done something about it. They just want their commission. Anyone else would be fired from their job! Also, isn't it the law you have to have 30 days before you are able to pick up someone's car due to being late on a payment? I am looking into this with my attorney currently what they did was deceitful and unethical. They do not care about you at all. I urge you not to use Loan Mart they will end up with your vehicle!
