Where Sugardough stands up is through the consistency and crunch of their breads. They don't over produce, so you won't be getting left over stock at the end of the day. They also do great (and consistently so) coffee, cakes, pizza slices and have some of the best pies in Melbourne. I found the ham and gruyere to be an excellent combination. It was flavorful and I enjoyed the creamy gruyere cheese. While the croissant was good, I don't get the hype though. I've had croissants that are just as flakey in other countries.
