I had two rooms, 2 stories high that the previous owner had added on to the house. Whoever originally did the work, did a really poor job, so I decided to have it torn down and rebuilt. I contacted 4 different contractors for estimates and LMN came in 5-8% lower than the other three. I was expecting the job to take 6-8 weeks, but LMN finished in about 3 and a 1/2. They worked 10 hour days, even on the weekends, including Sunday!!! Early on, there was a day that required 100% outside work and there was heavy rain non-stop. I assumed and expected that they would have called it off and came back when the weather was better. To my surprise, they put in a full day. There are a thousand ways a contractor could cut corners to save a buck, but I had the opposite experience. They added a bunch of little things that made the project nicer that I was not expecting and wouldn't have noticed if they weren't there. This was the difference between being satisfied with a good, solid job, and being impressed and surprised by a truly great job. The crew was exceedingly polite and professional. They needed access to the interior of my home, even when I was at work. This, obviously, can make any homeowner nervous. However, my fears were unfounded. Despite needing to regularly walk through with materials and supplies, at the end of each day, there was zero evidence that they had done so. And most importantly, the greatest fear a homeowner has when undergoing major renovations is unexpected cost overruns. Owners of old homes are especially sensitive to this. Mine was built in 1909. ("WTF is this?" Is a question I uttered every G_d D_mn time I tried a repair myself!) LMN did the job faster than expected and on budget. I paid them the amount they quoted me at our first meeting and not a penny more. Bottom line, I got more than I expected, in a quicker time, and at a lower price than was quoted from 3 other contractors. If I need to hire a contractor in the future, I will hire them. I recommend them without qualification. read more
