I had a huge ugly coldsore smack bang in the middle of my chin. The lady who served me was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that she didn't even laugh and point was a bonus. She advised me on the best cream to zap my coldsore, and went into great detail about the formation of coldsores, giving me the advice to make an appointment with my GP if it got any worse. On a subsequent visit to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription, the staff were equally as amazing. They were so friendly and sympathetic to the customers, and even let me pop out to do some shopping rather than waiting around and risking catching a cold, or worse, off fellow customers. They stock all of the lotions and potions that a small chemist should, but it's the staff that I am giving 5 stars.

The staff member working seemed really friendly, he was helpful and tried to serve me as quick as he can, they did have quite a large supply of medications, meaning I was able to get my Co-amoxiclav tablets which were out of stock at other pharmacies nearby. The late opening is also useful, they are open until 11 pm during the week and until 8 pm on Sunday's, with BARDOC services provided nearby, it means if you are visiting for an evening or weekend appointment, you can still get your medication that evening, without having to wait. COVID precautions are still in place, including unused space between the counter and entrance area, I do think it would have been nice if they kept the seats open for those who were waiting, but they seemed to split the social distance barrier across them. I was also able to pick up some of the free LFT Rapid Covid tests, provided by the government for regular community testing, which was handy, again many pharmacies seem to run out of these, so it was great to be able to pick up a set. 4* - A good pharmacy, which I would return to if I was in the area.

I'm already a regular at Longboon, but I've popped in here with a friend and found it to be as efficient. It is ver well stocked and the staff there even give advice when they see that you're probably thoroughly confused with what you have or rather are suffering with. A and A is probably one of the many Pharmacies in the vast Rusholme, noneltheless, its a pretty good one.

The staff in the store seemed friendly, with service at the pharmacy very good, the pharmacist was not only quick but helpful, providing relevant help and knowledge, and seemed confident in answering questions. The prices are average, remember you can save money with a Boots Advantage Card, with discounts available for NHS workers and students. The store was clean, the layout also allows you to get in and out as quickly as possible which is the one benefit of this store, over the larger Boots store nearby. 4*

It's more spacious and relaxed than this branch which seems constantly bustling with shop assistants and office workers popping in during their breaks. If you can cope with long queues, tutting customers and the odd elbow in your ribs, this Boots stocks everything from contact lenses, vitamins and make-up to a whole plethora of beauty and body products. There's also a pharmacist where you can pick up and drop off prescriptions and a photo lab for those that still prefer film to digital.

It can get a little crowded at peak times, I do occasionally see warehouse boxes around the store too which makes this a little worse. If you're looking for a flu shot, this store as of writing has the best availability in the city centre with appointments most days compared to the Arndale/Market Street branch which would have had me waiting over two weeks, and Piccadilly Gardens which has over a weeks wait for an appointment after 4:30 pm (This is a seasonal thing remember!) The reason I've managed to avoid getting the dreaded flu myself is wrapping up warm and carrying First Defense and Cuticura Hand Gel with me. The former keeps me warm and toasty and the latter two kill off bad germs and bacteria. Luckily, this Boots stocks both so whenever I'm travelling and running low on either, I just pop in and grab some on my way to the platform.
