As well as the Pharmacy that you find in every Boots store, there is also an Optician and Hearing Care facility. Prices are competitive, other than the food/drink section, which I always find to be rather expensive at Boots compared to rival chains, as they rarely seem to have any offers in that section, combined with higher prices before promotional offers even come into play too. The selection is reasonable, the staff were friendly enough and this is a good Boots location overall that I would return to on future visits to York. 4*

We went to this Boots Pharmacy today ("pharmacy" being a huge understatement, as the store is large and it's very much like an American chain store) and bought the item we needed. The man who rang up our purchase (in the pharmacy section) was SUPER-friendly and we had a delightful conversation with him. Open all day, everyday, including Sundays and well into the night, the residents around the area avoid the problem of being ill without being able to pick up medication, which happens so often when pharmacies keep to normal opening and closing hours. In terms of over the counter drugs, they are well stocked with your Calpols, Day and Night Nurses, and anything else you could possible need for the mid-winter snivles, and the back room for prescribed medication, as well as shelves with your typical shampoos, and a Rimmel make up 'bit'. If you need anything after 7pm, there is a little sign on the door that asks you to ring the bell for further assistance, which is fair enough if they are open all the way 'till 11pm! The lady that served me was polite and friendly, and when I entred was helping out an elderly man with his prescription. I can't give this place higher praise, it really is there for the community, not just when it suits them!

The store does have a Pharmacy which is useful, it is one of the few pharmacies within Liverpool One. 3* - Average store, selection could be much better and there is better nearby, but one of the better choices in the main part of Liverpool One.

Last month I was told they were too busy so they can't order my medication for me again. I had to go about three days without medication. And the pharmacy told me I can even go five to seven days without medication. And this month also because of the bank holiday they couldn't order my medication. When I phoned them to find out they disconnected me after almost 20 minutes of waiting. I phone again and the reply was pharmacist is too busy call back in two hours.
