(It also opens at 6 during the week too, great to pop in on your commute!) The drinks and to-go food selection is okay but I do feel other places within the station including WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and the Co-op outside are better, however. It can get a little crowded at peak times, I do occasionally see warehouse boxes around the store too which makes this a little worse. If you're looking for a flu shot, this store as of writing has the best availability in the city centre with appointments most days compared to the Arndale/Market Street branch which would have had me waiting over two weeks, and Piccadilly Gardens which has over a weeks wait for an appointment after 4:30 pm (This is a seasonal thing remember!) Average store in most regards, but opening hours make it much more useful to pick up medicines when in the city. 3*

The reason I've managed to avoid getting the dreaded flu myself is wrapping up warm and carrying First Defense and Cuticura Hand Gel with me. The former keeps me warm and toasty and the latter two kill off bad germs and bacteria. Luckily, this Boots stocks both so whenever I'm travelling and running low on either, I just pop in and grab some on my way to the platform. Handily, they also stock smoothies and breakfast bars too!

I'm already a regular at Longboon, but I've popped in here with a friend and found it to be as efficient. It is ver well stocked and the staff there even give advice when they see that you're probably thoroughly confused with what you have or rather are suffering with. A and A is probably one of the many Pharmacies in the vast Rusholme, noneltheless, its a pretty good one.

There is also a small toiletries section and a Pharmacy at the back of the store. The staff in the store seemed friendly, with service at the pharmacy very good, the pharmacist was not only quick but helpful, providing relevant help and knowledge, and seemed confident in answering questions. The prices are average, remember you can save money with a Boots Advantage Card, with discounts available for NHS workers and students. The store was clean, the layout also allows you to get in and out as quickly as possible which is the one benefit of this store, over the larger Boots store nearby. 4*

If you're looking to browse for beauty products or toiletries, head for the flagship Boots store at…read morethe bottom of Market Street. It's more spacious and relaxed than this branch which seems constantly bustling with shop assistants and office workers popping in during their breaks. If you can cope with long queues, tutting customers and the odd elbow in your ribs, this Boots stocks everything from contact lenses, vitamins and make-up to a whole plethora of beauty and body products. There's also a pharmacist where you can pick up and drop off prescriptions and a photo lab for those that still prefer film to digital.

I had a huge ugly coldsore smack bang in the middle of my chin. The lady who served me was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that she didn't even laugh and point was a bonus. She advised me on the best cream to zap my coldsore, and went into great detail about the formation of coldsores, giving me the advice to make an appointment with my GP if it got any worse. On a subsequent visit to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription, the staff were equally as amazing. They were so friendly and sympathetic to the customers, and even let me pop out to do some shopping rather than waiting around and risking catching a cold, or worse, off fellow customers. They stock all of the lotions and potions that a small chemist should, but it's the staff that I am giving 5 stars.

A small Boots store just off both Oxford Street and St Peter's Square, it is probably the smallest…read morestore in the city centre compared to their huge Market Street store and other branches in Piccadilly Station and Piccadilly Gardens, it is mainly featured around the Pharmacy part of the brand with very little in terms of fragrances, health and beauty and to-go food, however, the selection of beverages was average, albeit slightly smaller than their larger stores. I wasn't impressed with the selection of medications which you can buy without a prescription and even though this is a location focussed on the pharmacy and medicine part of the Boots brand, I found it to lack compared to other stores including Market Street again which was a shame with many medication brands just not there. They did seem understaffed too with one staff member struggling to keep up with demand on the checkout, and the Pharmacy stand had also one staff member who seemed a little less pressured. Good location to call in for basic medications or a drink without having to walk 5-10 minutes or so to a larger Boots location. 2*
