And the pharmacy told me I can even go five to seven days without medication. And this month also because of the bank holiday they couldn't order my medication. When I phoned them to find out they disconnected me after almost 20 minutes of waiting. I phone again and the reply was pharmacist is too busy call back in two hours. (It also opens at 6 during the week too, great to pop in on your commute!) The drinks and to-go food selection is okay but I do feel other places within the station including WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and the Co-op outside are better, however. It can get a little crowded at peak times, I do occasionally see warehouse boxes around the store too which makes this a little worse. If you're looking for a flu shot, this store as of writing has the best availability in the city centre with appointments most days compared to the Arndale/Market Street branch which would have had me waiting over two weeks, and Piccadilly Gardens which has over a weeks wait for an appointment after 4:30 pm (This is a seasonal thing remember!) Average store in most regards, but opening hours make it much more useful to pick up medicines when in the city. 3*

The reason I've managed to avoid getting the dreaded flu myself is wrapping up warm and carrying First Defense and Cuticura Hand Gel with me. The former keeps me warm and toasty and the latter two kill off bad germs and bacteria. Luckily, this Boots stocks both so whenever I'm travelling and running low on either, I just pop in and grab some on my way to the platform. The staff in the store seemed friendly, with service at the pharmacy very good, the pharmacist was not only quick but helpful, providing relevant help and knowledge, and seemed confident in answering questions. The prices are average, remember you can save money with a Boots Advantage Card, with discounts available for NHS workers and students. The store was clean, the layout also allows you to get in and out as quickly as possible which is the one benefit of this store, over the larger Boots store nearby. 4*

It's more spacious and relaxed than this branch which seems constantly bustling with shop assistants and office workers popping in during their breaks. If you can cope with long queues, tutting customers and the odd elbow in your ribs, this Boots stocks everything from contact lenses, vitamins and make-up to a whole plethora of beauty and body products. There's also a pharmacist where you can pick up and drop off prescriptions and a photo lab for those that still prefer film to digital.

I myself suffered a slipped disc three years ago in my lower back and if I am honest not even morphine substitutes could relieve pain ...it took keyhole surgery to eventually fix it! Faith Pharmacy is a pretty normal pharmacy, offering all the usual services such as basic…read moremedicines, plasters and bandages, prescriptions and toiletries. Its aptly situated, as you may need a pharmacy to assist your recovery if you (surely accidentally) visit the bar next door 'Czech Bar', which is a pit of despair. See my review. There's nothing really remarkable about this pharmacy, though it does have a selection of chocolates kept in a fridge. I don't know if anyone else suffers as I do from the affliction of only liking cold chocolate. If you do, you'll know that the major symptom is that you just can't buy chocolate from a newsagents or confectioner and munch it straight away. It just doesn't taste the same warm. For me, some chocolate can be tolerated warm, but some chocolate bars, which are lovely cold, are actually completely ruined when even lukewarm (above 6 degrees). Examples include Toblerone, Kit Kat and Bounty. If you do suffer from this condition, its on the list of medical problems this pharmacy can cure.

I had a huge ugly coldsore smack bang in the middle of my chin. The lady who served me was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that she didn't even laugh and point was a bonus. She advised me on the best cream to zap my coldsore, and went into great detail about the formation of coldsores, giving me the advice to make an appointment with my GP if it got any worse. On a subsequent visit to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription, the staff were equally as amazing. They were so friendly and sympathetic to the customers, and even let me pop out to do some shopping rather than waiting around and risking catching a cold, or worse, off fellow customers. They stock all of the lotions and potions that a small chemist should, but it's the staff that I am giving 5 stars.

I wasn't impressed with the selection of medications which you can buy without a prescription and even though this is a location focussed on the pharmacy and medicine part of the Boots brand, I found it to lack compared to other stores including Market Street again which was a shame with many medication brands just not there. They did seem understaffed too with one staff member struggling to keep up with demand on the checkout, and the Pharmacy stand had also one staff member who seemed a little less pressured. Good location to call in for basic medications or a drink without having to walk 5-10 minutes or so to a larger Boots location. 2*
