They're not the cheapest as a rule but they are well thought of and consequently stock nearly everything. I have noticed that their nappies are rarely as cheap as the supermarkets - sometimes i've been caught short in town with my toddlers! - but thank goodness there was a place in town selling nappies or I'd have been stuck. They're clean and the staff are friendly enough. No immediate parking - you'd have to use the multi-storey. There are other superdrugs which are more accessible but this is useful being in the middle of a shopping mall, so if you're spending a day shopping then they're there.

Superdrug , also has a small confectionery/ drinks section for snacks on the go. There are often deals available on the bottled drinks. At christmas there are a large number of gifts and gift sets available within the store but never much in the after xmas sales.

They had some good offers on toiletries and similar items if you're a student you can get 10% off here which works in addition to the offers they have around store. My biggest problem with this store is that it feels the lady who served me at the checkout was on commission, I bought three different products and for two of them, she tried to get me to sell a more expensive version, she also tried to sell me another random product, this was despite me stating "No thanks", "Please stop trying to upsell me" and "I only want these products" - she just didn't listen, I get asking once if I'm interested in any special offers but continuing relentlessly, I got a sense of arrogance and rudeness that she felt she knew what I wanted and needed to buy more than me. If you can get past the upsell at the checkout, the selection and overall feel is good and there is a small Beauty Bar area for the ladies. 3*

The store is large and has pretty much everything you'd expect to find in a Superdrug, other than a Pharmacy (luckily the other Superdrug a couple of minutes away has one!) The selection in terms of makeup, toiletries, Men's Skincare and similar items were extensive, they even had a nice range of gift-sets left over from the Christmas period. Some of the checkouts were out of use, probably down to COVID, I don't have a problem with that but perhaps adding a sign to the open checkout areas would make more sense, to ease confusion. 4* - Large store with a great selection, it would be a complete Superdrug branch if it had a Pharmacy, also the staff didn't seem to stand out, they seemed to get in the way rather than help, which is quite unexpected in such a large store.

The store looks…read morelarger from the outside than it actually is, the store is still a pretty good size and is a little larger than other Superdrug stores you'd find in a smaller town. For some reason, they only had one set of doors working, I totally understand having one set of doors to go in and out the store for COVID reasons, but that didn't seem to be the case, and with no signs on the doors on the far right which weren't working either, I was left to look like an idiot trying to pull and then push the door only to realise it wasn't in use. When I recommended they added a sign to the door, a staff member just looked at me, without much of a response. Some good deals, prices did seem a little high compared to nearby Boots, but this is something which seems to change regularly as prices fluctuate with promotional offers. The store was mostly clean which is also good. The nearby store at Middlebrook in the Horwich area of Bolton does have more facilities, for example, there you will find a Health Clinic which isn't a feature here. The opening hours here also mean this store closes slightly earlier, at 5:30 Monday-Saturday, compared to the slightly later time of 6 pm in Horwich. 3* - A-OK, decent Superdrug store, although nearby stores in Horwich, Leigh and Manchester are better.

The staff are generally attentive and helpful in this branch and they often have their full amount of tills operational to avoid unnecessary queuing.

It didn't help Bodycare and The Body Shop look very similar either. Bodycare is a large shop in The Manchester Arndale centre with great selection, they have a good variety of pain killers, shampoo, soap and lots of other things. The staff seemed polite and for a first time visitor of Bodycare I left happy as they did have a wide range of products for great value. If you are looking for Body products in the Manchester Arndale, I would recommended this large, cheap shop which is located next to WHSmith and near to Thorntons and EE. I have visited this shop a few times now and I have also found a good range of soap products here. UPDATE: After some consideration, including that the queuing system can often leave customers waiting slightly longer, and the design of the store, appearing to get as many products as they can, rather than spacing them out and making it into a modern, cool store, really lowers my opinion of this store, hence I feel a 3 star rating is more deserved.

This branch of Superdrug is quite a small store in the Middleton Shopping Centre, opposite WHsmith…read moreand next to Holland and Barrett, but I can't help but notice this place is both in need of a review with no reviews for 8 years, and all of them were written on Qype and actually seem to be for the branch in the Manchester Arndale based on the content in them, despite this listing being for the Middleton Shopping Centre, which is rather odd. Unlike the address on both Yelp, and the Superdrug website, this is only a small store over one floor in the Middleton Shopping Centre, it mainly stocks all your Superdrug essentials and that's about it, for example they have a small selection of drinks including Lipton Iced Teas, which seem to be available at most branches. This branch has a small range of fragrances and similar items. Superdrug had an interesting range of products, mainly specializing in health and beauty, I can't comment on the products in great lengths, as I wouldn't consider myself to have much knowledge in that field, but the range for a store of this size seemed okay, the range on some items such as drinks and fragrences were a little poor. The pricing on most items seemed competitive. In my opinion, this store is average and doesn't seem to go anymore than that, but due to its' size, and that it doesn't stand out as much as a place to shop in the Middleton Shopping Centre, I sadly feel it doesn't deserve more than two stars.
