They always ask how my son is doing at Univeristy (usually when I ahve to go and draw money out to top his bank account up!!) and take a genuine interst in waht is going on. They are not pushy about there products but are always more than willing to give advice and provide answers. Open Monday to Saturday. I've only ever once had to queue which is great

I was able to use the direct line to talk to a customer adviser who helped me with my credit card issue which was quickly resolved. There were four cashier counters with only two at the counter at the time. They seemed efficient enough as the queue was never more than three or four people.

The staff are friendly and chatty and unlike many banks you feel like you can talk without whispering (Why is it banks are so silent these days?). You can do everything at this little branch you do at any regular branch, just with friendlier faces who are more likely to remember you next time you pop in!

It's a bit of a roundabout issue here where you can't get decent housing without a bank account and you can't get a bank account without decent housing. I had no idea that the credit check done on you is actually done on your place of residence and the credit attached there, not necessarily all just you. Very frustrating. At my wits end, and after going to several banks in and around Soho (and getting very rude and exasperated responses to my questions - as if I was doing something wrong by moving to London and not knowing my way around the financial system), I came across this HSBC in Chinatown. Bruce is my HERO. Not only was he completely accommodating to my mistake of thinking an appointment was way earlier than it actually was, he was very reassuring, informative, patient, kind, and most of all, funny. Thank you so much Bruce for easing my final transition into London life and helping me feel like a productive adult once again. You were the only one out of several bank employees in Soho that didn't treat me like an idiot and instead like a friend. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, and most of all, appreciate you alleviating all the stress from this last stage. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Despite having moved i still do my banking here when in the area as it is much more convenient than many other branches.

A large barcleys at the top end of town…read more The bank itself is large, featuring 3 outside (in a cubby whole) cash machines and two in the bank itself. To access the personal bankers you need to queue that the can I help desk (which isnt clear if a member of staff is not there!). Dont just sit down stand and wait to get your name on the list to be seen. Although in genrel all the pay in desks are open it takes a while to be seen. But the staff are friendly and helpful which makes it a better experience

This branch of Barclays is located at the very top of the high street. Its been there for many…read moreyears and could do with a bit of un update inside as things are looking a bit old and tired. But the service there is great, the queues go don fast as there is always plenty of staff on the tills. The staff are always very polite and friendly to. They have 4 cash machines outside and another 3 inside.
