I arrived promptly 5 minutes prior to my appointment. I was seated in the waiting room for the next 30 minutes watching new patients walk in, be seated, and helped prior still to myself. After that 30 minutes, I approach the counter to inquire the status to my appointment. They clerk looking flustered and shocked seemingly NOW remembers that I am there to been seen and have been for 30 minutes. They run to the back and take another 5 minutes. At this point I have decided to leave. Since I don't appear to be of any value or importance to their office. It is Very clear that a bias is held towards those with children, or a seemingly wealthy appearance and they will treat you differently based on this factor. Now after waiting 3 weeks for the appointment, and arriving on time on my day off bright and early. I am now back where I started and needing to find an orthodontist. If you take quality service seriously, I would consider spending your hard earned money elsewhere. Somewhere where your time is treated with respect. Extremely disappointed, and unfortunately this is the First ever experience with an orthodontist office. Off putting is an understatement. If they don't care about you during your First ever visit, rest assured, they DO not care about your business as a whole. They got comfortable, complacent and negligent knowing they are in a wealthy area. Surprise, the fundamentals of excellent service matter even more when there's hundreds of alternatives. Wake up. Where it states on their website that if you EVER need braces again after a full treatment they would replace the braces free of charge, just a nominal fee for adjustments. Well, if you ever need to use that guarantee, they will deny ever even having one! Then they'll try to trick you into paying for another treatment. If you say anything about it they will drop you as a patient. Another review spoke about the fake reviews and I agree. We had a great experience with are first consultation they took X-rays, lots of pictures, and then talked about the best approach for us. Now days they are trying to have kids in braces very young. When I was there I had lost all my baby teeth and had all my adult teeth in. They said that would save us a lot of time and money in the long run. We decided to do the metal braces as they moved the teeth the best and the colors are fun to pick. We also had expanders and spacers as well. They aways had appointments available and if you has any issues with your braces then they can get you in to fix the issue. I will say before your braces come off if you need to get your wisdom teeth taken out then do so. Also wear your retainer after like they say. My teeth are still strait my sisters are now back to being crooked. The wisdom teeth came though and push her teeth and caused her to now need braces again. We've been frustrated recently that there doesn't seem to be any clear direction in his treatment and decided to look into other orthos that focused on airway and speech. Our myofunctional therapist recommended we have a consultation with Dr Jacobson. We booked a consultation with him and a few others orthodontists that came highly recommended. It's a bit of a drive for us from glencoe to Vernon hills, although after our trek to the city for orthodontist appointments the past 4 years this was doable. It's also conveniently located in the same center a starbucks (for those who need a constant caffeine fix like me) and coldstone creamery (soft treat bribery after ortho treatments). We were seen right away and they took some pictures of my son's mouth with the help of my husband. My son wasn't really a fan of the pictures, but powered thru. Then Dr. Jacobson came in and took a look in my son's mouth and at the pictures. We asked for an opinion of what he would do for our son's ortho treatment. I liked that, unlike some of the other orthodontists we met with, he mentioned how the expander and other devices would help with speech. He also seemed to strike a good balance between getting him the treatment he needs, but not going overboard. He's had one device after another over the last 4 years, which IMO has been too much. We left with lots of info and impressed. We met with a few other orthodontists and ultimately decided to give Dr. Jacobson a try. Every ortho seems to tell us something different, but we felt good with him plan after our consultation and our myofunctional speech therapist (who we trust a lot) has been impressed with his work for her other patients. We head back later this summer to start treatment with an expander so will update with future experiences, but based on the consultation feel good about our decision.

She showed me all the x rays and photos. I set aside money and was ready to commit to this office. About a year later we came back. Different orthodontist and style. She recommended extracting permanent teeth before braces. Her approach was somewhat off putting. I didn't feel heard and didn't seem like they considered all options or even provided the pros/cons for evaluation. Felt like they want you just to accept their opinion without explanation. When I asked to get a copy of x rays, since it wasn't viewed this time, they charged $270 or $350 including photos.
