So I put out some feelers to companies here on Yelp and M and Sons responded very quickly with a rough estimate. It was reasonable for me given that I could save myself the headache of having to find a way to dump this stuff ourselves. Cesar was extremely responsive even over the two days leading into today. I wasn't completely sure of our schedule but he was super patient and allowed me to get to the storage space to take some pics and still schedule a pick up for later in the afternoon. The two staff showed up right on schedule and were able to work with the budget that I had. They worked quickly and efficiently, and made sure to clean up the areas that they worked in. Then they took my credit card payment by phone and we called it a day. I truly appreciated the quick attention and patience from this company. I would highly recommend them for any junk hauling jobs! Thank you!

Our experience with Desert Dry Restoration (Fernando Ventura) was extremely disappointing. After…read morethe Palisades fire, we hired Fernando to help with debris removal and restoration work on our property. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the job because he did not have the proper licensing required to perform the work. We waited over four months for him to obtain his contractor's license, but he failed the test and never became properly qualified. We ultimately had to hire another licensed, reputable contractor to finish the job correctly. To make matters worse, after our new contractor completed the cleanup and restoration, Fernando illegally dumped debris from his roll-off back onto our cleared lot. When I confronted him, he admitted doing it and promised to reimburse the cost we incurred to have it removed -- yet three months later, we are still waiting for payment. Adding insult to injury, Fernando is using a set of photos of our home on his Google profile as an example of his "work" in the Palisades. This is completely misleading -- he did not complete the project and did not have the proper HAZWOPER certification to handle or dispose of debris. We trusted Desert Dry Restoration during a very difficult time and were met with unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and additional expense. I strongly recommend verifying licenses and credentials before hiring and would not recommend this company based on our experience.

But I had to go with the restoration company I had already signed a contract with because they had already performed some services for me. If had had to pay them off it would have cost a lot of money. So it was cheaper have them finish the job for a package price. JRN was professional, and offered good advice on how to reduce repair costs. They are certified for asbestos and mold remediation. The lesson I learned is always find out the cost of a service before it's performed, even if you think insurance will pay for everything. In my case I did not have enough insurance coverage.

We ran into a small snag during the day that required a second day, but Kaiky assured me everything would be completed as promised and he delivered. The end result was great. He and his crew were careful not to damage any existing structures, thoroughly removed all the debris, and left the work area AND surrounding areas clean and tidy. His solid 5 star rating is deserved and I would definitely hire Cali Shine Construction again for future projects.

Don't you find it strange that this company has only 7 reviews before this one, and they are all…read more5's? Most likely they are fake reviews. This company simply flags all of the negative reviews and gets Yelp to remove them. I hired this company to remove asbestos flooring and black mastic, and they were grossly incompetent. I post photos of the loose powder of Fiberlock encapsulant they applied incompetently over an oil-based solvent they used to dissolve the mastic. The encapsulant did not stick, since it is water-based, and oil and water do not mix, right? The owner even said "I see this often", as though in his professional opinion that is the way it is supposed to be. See photos below, wtih the workers' bootprints in it. Well, after asbestos abatement you are not supposed to leave a loose, friable mess on the floor. Furthermore, the solvent they used was highly toxic, and a year later I still have not been able to move into my house because of it. I am posting this for the protection of any other homeowners, so that you can avoid a similar disaster. Yelp had better not remove this review, because this is my experience with this business.
