Most of the plants are really healthy, and they have a fantastic selection of butterworts, all reasonably priced! Their moss collection is also pretty impressive. The big windows in the store give it a cozy vibe, especially during the early morning hours--it's a perfect spot to relax and browse the plants. Plus, the street offers free parking on the weekends, which is a nice bonus! Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's definitely worth a visit!

When we first arrived, the check-out line wrapped around the checkout area and all the way down one of the main aisles of the store. Even with 4 cashiers busting their tails. Should I have visited on a Saturday? No. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I thought this HG had a great selection. I didn't visit all of the departments, though, because I came in for very specific items. Plus, it's hard to maneuver around carts and large groups of people throughout a store that has a lot of inventory. Our cashier was super friendly and I'll definitely come back.

Even Hobby Lobby seems to be a disappointment with their dates product along with broken, dented or scratched merchandise. Their customer service is great so I keep going there. Their picture, flower arrangements seem dated too. My first go to store is now Home Goods. Check it out you won't be disappointed. The Home Goods in Chicago and Normal were the pits and I swore I'd never go back but I am glad I did.

All of this would be enough but the business model is fair trade items to benefit areas and peoples of the world which traditionally are not paid a fair wage for their labor. As a result the prices are fairly high. I like the idea of paying people a wage they deserve and getting quality, hand crafted merchandise that are more one of a kind. This location of Ross is also much neater than most other locations with clothes hung in the correct sizing section, for the most part. The only confusing area was the shoes where the sizes seemed to overlap one another & not be located in the correct area between sizes 9-10. With the prices at Ross, combined with the vast selection of items, it's most likely that I will return to this location the next time I'm in Illinois.

The first floor has a small section for electronics, mainly old CRT TVs and other random electronics. They have many desk, tv stands, chairs at very good prices. Depending on your luck I can see how you can make off with a very good deal. The chairs themselves were very old and I could not see myself buying a used recliner. The basement has tons of hardware material well organized. On the second floor is home goods. Lots of the merchandise on this floor is very very old. Overall if you like second hand goods this would be your store. FYI there is no clothes at this store.
