A Tapa's Bar in the truest sense with a standing room only space. Two locations right across from…read moreeach other -looks like they go back and forth for opening hours. It gets crowded and loud soon after they open at 8:30 for dinner after closing for a few hours post lunch. No English menus but that's ok. Come in, open up your Translator and make friends with the servers behind the Bar. It will be so worth it. I started with a Verdejo and first Tapa was the Torezznos de Soria (Fried Pork Belly). Had this as an appetizer back home and this version is so much better-salty, crunch outside, tender inside-beyond delicious! Next was the Carilladda de Cerdo (Pork Cheeks) had the taste/texture of Short Rib-super tender and tasty. Solomillo à la Poniente-tenderloin with creamy sauce taking it over the top. Pinchito de Cordero (grilled lamb cubes) so tender and without the gamey. Pulpo Frito (fried octopus)-first time having it and enjoyed it. De Buey (their mini burger)-cooked medium rare and leaves you wanting a few more. 2nd visit-Busanos (snails-not escargot), -Ostras (Oysters), -Flamenquin Cordobes (deep fried ham/cheese in a roll-delicious), -Lomo en Manteca (pork loin in lard mini sandwich), -Pinchito de longanizo (sausage skewer) a little spicy, nice snap and salty, -Sombretito de Cabra (fried goat cheese with honey) on the bottom, slice of eggplant and tomato, -Sardines ahumadas (smoked sardines) with tomato on bottom-salty oily-delicious, -Cazuelita de christorra de Arbizu-salty sausage pieces pair nicely with Bravas. Friendly servers behind the Bar. Melen took great care of me-A Local's favorite where you plan on spending a short time or a few hours and trying out a few of their delicacies paired with your beverages of choice. When in Malaga, a must stop!

Loved the tapas. The seafood cold bar was gorgeous. The eggplant was our favorite tapa we tried. I…read moreloved the indoor and outdoor decor. Service was quick! The sangria was a hit with everyone. My only complaint is that there was a single bathroom that open directly into the dining area and the door lock was broken.

The place looks clean, not really bright cos is into a kind of gallery but there's enough light to be comfortable and the walls turned in orange helps, it looks like it was refurbished not long time ago and the decoration is all around fishing and fishermen. When we ordered the waiter was really nice and friendly with us, and every time passing around taking care of us asking "everything OK" or "you alright?". They work a bit noisy but is the point of it. The food was yummy! Sincerely awesome and really good fried and prepared the fish was fresh and well selected. The half-servings are as full as the plate can be. We were really impressed with their bread, i think that was the best one that I've ever tried in a restaurant, and they prepare an Ali-Oli sauce that can take you directly to the heaven. As a personal moment, Luis, the owner, is really friendly treats every one as special one, and he took a bit of his time, have to recognise that he was really busy, to chat with us and he shared a bit of his experience with us. This is why I give him 4* and I wish a really good luck with his business, 11years and more and more... I would really recommend to come here as a family day, to enjoy good fish but not to celebrate reunions or anything like that because of the noise that they have.
