She finally called me back and left a VM explaining they were "really busy these days", and it would be better to communicate by email. What client facing business thinks Email is the best way to communicate? So after sending a very detailed email several days ago, I still haven't heard back. If you think your design services aren't a match, just cut to the chase and say so. If you think you're too busy to be responsive, guess what, your customers are busy and their time is also valuable. My budget isn't small, and I'll gladly take the business elsewhere. This upfront design request could have also led to a bigger project down the road, but guess they don't care. All in all, terrible client relations and a terrible first impression. Great design will only get you so far if your customer service sucks. read more
