Even a few days later, when I thought of more things to ask, he was quick to respond and made sure I got the info I needed. I asked a lot of off the wall things, but he was patient and made sure I understood the explanation of different types of patios and materials. Before starting the project, he walked me through the plan and introduced me to my project manager, Luis. Luis was great, he kept me updated the whole way, even during the first week when I was out of town. I had no worries and I was able to enjoy my vacation while full on construction was going on at my home. Every crew that came out, roofing, painting, cement, told me what they were there to do and asked if I had any questions before getting started. I also have to mention Blanca in the office, every time I called, she was so friendly and easy to talk to, it was like I'd known her for years. The end result? My patio is beautiful! I was torn between putting money down on a larger home and moving, or building a patio to add square footage for gatherings. I am so happy I went with a new patio instead of the debt of a new home. I had to personally put getting any remodeling and home additions on hold while I cared for my dad for over a year. We talked about my patio dream before he passed in March. South Texas fencing installed my parent's chain-link fence five years ago. Sherrel tried to give me some lame excuse about how he wasn't there when my fence was installed, and that the contract says it is the property owner's responsibility to tell them where the property lines are located. I called Civil Corp. and they informed me that they had surveyed all these properties out here back in 2007. Therefore, the markers were there when they installed my fence. Also, since he didn't work there, how does he know the correct property lines were not given? They charged my parents $4800 to move the fence to the correct property line. Personally, I feel they shouldn't have paid for any of it. They did offer to split the cost with the company but the owner refused and only dropped the price from $5200 to $4800. Many people suggested I take them to smalls claim court, but my parents did not want to deal with that. I think it is despicable that this company would take advantage of an elderly couple in that manner.

First with the good...Oscar was very responsive, which I appreciated. He came out to give me an estimate and was on time. He was very friendly and likeable. My concerns were over his professionalism and high-pressure tactics. First, I wanted the wood painted and he said no and "we are not painters" with a little laugh. He eventually agreed to it. Another concern was that he did not want to put his estimates in writing until the contract was drawn up. He was showing me contracts he had with a couple of his customers pointing out they were $50K and $80K deals. I did not feel comfortable with him showing me other customer's contracts. Multiple times he referred to these deals pointing the dollar amounts, which seemed odd I thought. Here's the final straw. He did not want to leave without a commitment. After he took his measurements, answered all my questions, and gave me multiple estimates, I thanked him and said I would give it some thought, but he didn't want to leave. I tried multiple times, but he just stuck around. It felt very awkward. He told me he would give me a discount if I committed that day. I told him I would let him know by the end of the day. Only three hours later, at 3:30pm, he was texting me asking if I made my decision.

Now, & for the last couple of months, they won't even return my calls. I sent a demand for service via USPS certified mail/return receipt. The address on their website (1904 Stolz St, Suite A, Victoria, TX) is not a deliverable address. After continual voice mails and texts I have given up. They're worthless and have zero integrity. Once they have your money they could care less about your satisfaction. The last time their technician (Ha!) was here, he couldn't even locate the sprinkler heads he installed. The supply line they rerouted and supposedly repaired continually breaks. Twice was because the PVC joint they glued failed. The technician told me I had to find the sprinkler heads and locate the leak. He then left promptly at 5 o'clock. I immediately called and texted Tyson Ruddick to inform him his technician had left without repairing the problem. I never heard back from the man (?). Based on his horrid work quality and non existent customer care I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere. Coastal Fence & Irrigation is, in my opinion, dishonest and completely unworthy of being entrusted with the smallest of projects. I would rate him with -5 stars but that isn't strong enough for fecal matter.
