I cannot recommend VAS Contracting enough! Victor and Angela deserve 10 stars, they went above and…read morebeyond every step of the way. We previously hired another contractor who we paid and didn't finish the work so we were very nervous, but Angela gladly sent their proof of license and insurance to ease our minds. They gave us a quote within a few days of our initial contact, they told us up front that we were looking at a 4 week wait before they began which ended up being shorter. We really appreciated the up front transparency. There were no hidden fees at the end, the estimate / contract we were given was what we paid. While they were working on the house, we decided we wanted them to help us with more work and they quickly got us estimates for the extra work and they got the work done quickly as well. Lastly, we worked with them remotely and they shared photos about materials and the finished product. We asked Angela if she had a recommendation for a cleaning company and she offered to do it for a competitive rate! They also offered to mow our lawn! The list of positives is endless. Truly no negative feedback in our experience. Overall VAS Contracting is experienced, professional, a Good value, and responsive. Hire them today!

Moved back to Victoria several months ago. Bought a house with previous garage conversion. Needed…read moreto convert / update the conversion into a studio apartment. I could not have found a better team. From the day of the initial walk-through and bid to completion the team was professional, courteous, educational when needed, excellent communicators. They not only bring expertise they also bring integrity. They truly treat the job as if it was their own home. They removed/replaced old drywall, painted, remodeled down to the studs in some areas to expand the space as much as possible, replaced flooring, repaired poor plumbing from previous job, completely gutted and rebuilt the bathroom, replaced/repaired windows and doors. I was living and working in the house at the time, and they did an excellent job of minimizing disruptions. I was as informed as I needed to be - no more, no less. I would recommend them to everyone. I will be working with them again in the future to update some items in the main house.

SG Construction did an outstanding job on our 1885 family farmhouse. This was not remodeling--it…read morewas restoration. Mr. Santos Gomez and his crews took wonderful care of the original longleaf pine floors and wooden walls. They repaired and patched all of the wood, feathering it in with reclaimed old pine that they sourced locally. They painted the walls, and restored and polyurethaned the old floors. Thoughtful work, completed on schedule, for reasonable pricing. The only (small) cost overrun was because some of the wood patching was more extensive than anticipated, and Mr. Gomez communicated with us clearly when that happened. The crews and Mr. Gomez were very kind, efficient, and helpful-- a joy to be around. The farmhouse is now beautiful and authentic. We definitely will call Mr. Gomez for our next job. Very highly recommend!

That morning they responded to my request starting around 6:30 am and he was at the house with the repair completed by 10 am. Not only were they fast they were a great communicator! Since this was a rental house and we don't live there he did a great job of showing us photos of the problems and the repairs he had completed. All this for a very fair price. Don't let the name on yelp fool you, like it did me, they are a plumbing, electrical and landscape company. I'd highly recommend and we will be using them for our future jobs.
