Dr Zhang is my podiatrist and he has been extremely professional, patient and an expert diagnostician. I came in for a bay infected toe and he was able to quickly perform surgery and save my toe. I am so grateful I have found such a caring physician. Unfortunately he has moved and fortunately, he has now opened his new practice close to Costco in Livermore, California! I was able to see him recently do a check up and his new facility is beautiful! History staff has remained the same and they are absolutely delightful to work with. They are very caring, conscientious, and supportive and always available to make appointments with and to help Dr Zhang in his practice. Obviously, I am a fan of Dr Zhang and have recommended him too many of my friends. If you are looking for a podiatrist, I highly recommend this doctor! read more

I've been here 3-4 times for a foot injury from jogging, and Dr. Ramos was absolutely fantastic. She was quick in diagnosing the problem and coming up with a plan. The patient rooms are clean. Parking is on the street, and there was always availability right out front. The lobby area is very outdated though (think 70s Brady Bunch house decor), so you just need to look past that. My son sustained a very serious foot injury earlier this year. Since he couldn't walk very far, I was looking for a local option here in town; not Pleasanton/Dublin. I called the office on a whim and luckily, they were able to squeeze us in on the same day after quickly verifying in-network insurance benefits. Dr. Michael Colburn was very kind and gentle with my special needs son. He explained the Lisfranc injury in detail and placed him in a walking boot (which was conveniently available in-office). Because Dr. Colburn does not perform surgeries anymore, he referred us to another surgeon for follow-up. So glad we have such a great and reputable podiatrist in Livermore. This practice has been somewhat troubled for some time. The treatment is fine, especially when Dr. Sally Pham was there. But practice management has been sadly lacking. Staff turnover has been an issue. I attempted to contact the office yesterday about my appointment for today. After two calls and two messages I had no response. Upon showing up today, I was told I had no appointment until next week. That's why I was calling yesterday! Evidently the office was closed because the receptionist arrived without a key and was unable to enter the office. Wow. Evidently there hasn't been a doctor present since last week and won't be until next week. When Livermore Podiatry moved from Murrietta to the present location on So. J, my appointment request was put on a list of some sort, with the promise I would be contacted when they settled into the new spot. After waiting a month or so with no contact, I tried another podiatrist in San Ramon. Horrible. So here we are back at Livermore Podiatry. Sigh.... read more

Went to see Podiatrist Dr. M Colburn @ Livermore Podiatry. Was going for a 2nd opinion since I have Kaiser (which is mostly a great Medical Provider.) Was quoted a cost on phone by Colburn's office of $85 for a 2nd opinion. When I showed up, they wanted $160. So it was a classic: 'Bait & Switch' tactic. So I unfortunately had to leave. Dr. Colburn and his staff were amazing. My 10yo daughter had two ingrown toenails. We were both a little nervous about what the next steps were. He explained everything very well, discussed our options, and answered ALL of her questions very patiently. She had the surgery and it was better than I expected. I had the toe surgery when I was a teenager and didn't have a great experience. I was nervous for her but he assured me he did many of these surgeries on kids and wouldn't do anything if it hurt at all. My kiddo had no tears. Was amazing. If covid wasn't happening I would have hugged him. Instead, I can give him the best review possible. No photos, no one wants to see post-surgery toes. read more

Dr. Zoe Ramos is the absolute best. I've seen her twice. Once for an ingrown nail and for foot pain. Both times she saw other issues and had helped me take preventive actions to take care of my feet. Dr. Colburn helped me cure my severe toenail fungus, for free. I bought a Groupon, to get treated with his state-of-the-art toenail fungus laser. According to my extensive research, he was the only doctor in the Bay Area who offered Noveon laser, which appeared to be the most effective laser on the market. Instead of simply keeping my money, and running the laser, Dr. Colburn refunded my Groupon, and said he thought I'd probably have better luck (given the severity of my infection) with topical medications. He researched the rare fungus with which I had been diagnosed, and wrote a prescription for a compounded medication (itraconazole) that was customized for this particular strain (pseudoallescheria boydii). He suggested I try that for a few months, and if it didn't work, switch to gentian violet. He didn't even charge me for the consultation. The topical itraconazole didn't work, but the gentian violet did. See the photos I posted on this listing, to see how severe my infection was, prior to treatment, and how clear my nails are, after treatment. Note that, before I saw Dr. Colburn, my podiatrist at Kaiser surgically removed my infected nails, and prescribed oral itraconazole, as well as topical Jublia and Penlac. That cured one of my two infected nails, but my Kaiser podiatrist had nothing else to offer, for the nail that wasn't cured with that treatment. That's why I turned to Dr. Colburn, who used to be the chief of podiatry, at Kaiser, before he switched to private practice. Kaiser doesn't offer laser nail treatment, or compounded medications--and apparently, my Kaiser podiatrist doesn't know about the effectiveness of gentian violet--so I'm very glad I saw Dr. Colburn. Plus, he has excellent bedside manner. I recommend him, without hesitation. read more

I visited their old location approximately 2 years ago. I stopped by their new office to obtain a copy of an xray that was taken. I am told that they can't find it and have misplaced it! Found Dr. Pham on yelp and decided to go to her per reviews (also for my daughter's sake, I prefer to surround her with female examples of Dr etc.) Dr Pham was very informative and patient. She was wonderful with my daughter (9 years old). Her staff was also very efficient and polite. Staff checked insurance and explained what charges usually are or are not covered. She was likewise as amicable with me. She has one of the best bedside manners of all the doctors I've ever interacted with. We would recommend her. Her 5 star ratings were well earned. read more

I went and saw Dr. Colburn based off of other Yelp reviews. I'm VERY glad I did. My initial goal was to get laser treatment to clear up my toe nails. I gave him my history, my primary activities (running). He examined my toes and quickly determined I didn't have fungus after all it was trauma related to my running and bleeding under the nail. (I won't show gross pics). He went into great detail on the anatomy, causation and what things to consider moving forward. He did do some treatment in shaving down parts that needed it and fully advised me on my planter fasciitis. He answered All of my question, greatly educated me and left me with the knowledge I need on foot management moving forward. I HIGHLY recommend him for anyone considering his advice. I was sorry to hear that Dr. Pham is leaving SF, but as one of her SF patients, I just want to let you all know how incredible she is. First of all, not all orthotics are created equal. I had some custom made orthotics with another podiatrist when I was having plantar fasciitis pain and I thought they were pretty good (hard plastic molded in the shape of my feet). But when I was still having pain a year later, I went to see Dr. Pham and she recommended her version of custom orthotics. Of course I was skeptical, I had a perfectly fine pair and didn't want to pay for something twice. Let me just tell you the two orthotics are like night and day. Her version starts out the same way with the molding of the foot, but she puts in padding, takes out parts for pressure, and adds stability-- she calls it motor mechanics on the orthotics. It's like walking on clouds. With the stretching exercises she showed me how to do and wearing the orthotics, I really don't feel the need to see her anymore; my feet are pain free. She is so knowledgeable, caring, and the best podiatrist I know of. Highly recommended. read more

I have actually never left a negative review for a company. This isn't really negative about the doctors skill but about what happened to us My son went in for a toenail fungus treatment. We paid over $1100.00 for the treatment, purchased medicine and a light to zap fungus from shoes. The first 2 treatments were fine and we were hopeful. Then the laser machine broke. We attempted to reschedule at least 4 times. Still broken. The straw that broke the camels back was the last time that I called to schedule.... the machine is broken and the Dr is on vacation in Hawaii. Oh good.... I paid for a trip to Hawaii and my son still has a toenail issue. This was over 2 years ago. I'm still upset about this. read more

I visited here for an ongoing issues that my previous family dr said was something benign. I called in the morning and they were able to get me in right after lunch. The receptionist was professional, kind, and easy to talk to because she listened and interacted. The guy that took me to the exam room and took all the info and ailments was great. Very easy going and personable. We're close in age and we just b.s.'d like buds as he took it all down, but when he went to help an older patient he was so respectful and caring, offering to take their shoes off for them and help them in any way.
