After reading reviews I decided to go with Cindy, and she was AMAZING! Super friendly, professional, and informative. Instead of just showing her a photo and saying "DO THAT," she spent 15-20 minutes analyzing my lips with me and discussed the way the muscles effect the shape. Based on what I ultimately wanted (more volume but still "natural" looking), she was able to pinpoint the perfect areas to inject. She also noticed the way my lips pulled in when I talked due to a muscle in my upper lip so she gave me a little lip flip botox (for a very reasonable price) and I LOVE it. There wasn't any pressure to add it on, but she said it's something I may want to consider for the future, and I considered very fast lol. They're still settling after a week, but so far I'm in love and Cindy will definitely be my new injector since I totally trust her judgement!

As someone who's pretty much given up on self-applied false lashes, having individual lashes applied onto my natural ones sounded really promising and intriguing, especially to last for weeks. I had 2 weddings 2 weeks apart so figured it was the perfect opp to spurge. At the time I booked (early Oct), they had an end of summer promo for a full set at $99 - what a steal. It was with a particular lash artist (Sammie) - I learned there are different levels/prices of who you see. Honestly, the tiers, the paying vs getting a membership, the commitment to touch-ups during a certain time or the price basically gets close to another full set... it can turn into a money pit. In order to maintain the look - you are paying several hundreds a month. But if you don't bat an eye to that, all good. I can see why it cost so much as they are meticulously applying these individual lashes for over 2 hours for a full application. The attention to detail is crazy. As others stated, it's pretty relaxing...once I got over the initial eye muscle reaction to my eyes being taped shut. The end result was truly beautiful (see photo of me a day later preparing for my first wedding). I decided at the end of the visit to book a touch-up but two weeks put me right on the 2nd wedding so I was forced to book only a week and a few days, which felt kinda crappy to pay for a 2-week touchup early at $89, so I delayed it to be a bit after 2 weeks and was jumped up to the 3-week pricing at $108...I know I got a promo but paying more for the touch-up than the full-set was a hard pill to swallow. Then I did something stupid. Again, novice...and they don't exactly prompt you on any aftercare / avoidances. Well, I bake sourdough... I got to close to the 500 degree oven and destroyed most of my lashes in only like 3 days after that appointment. High heat will sear off and turn the lashes into split ends. I had no idea what happened when I finally saw myself in the mirror and called the next day to come in. They guarantee the lash work for a few days for a complimentary "fix appt" but when Sammie saw me so knew it was heat damage. So guess what? I had to pay for a "1-week touchup," she only had an hour and it was rushed. Not her fault, this was my fault and I paid another $79 plus tip for it only 3 days later. And so ended my lash extension life. I just let them all grow/fall out, which is a ugly process. This is setup for you becoming a lifer as you do look amazing. But you can see how it adds up. I think committing to the 6-month membership could be cool. Its an expensive up front cost. And you really want to be doing it BEFORE to get any service. You can't decided to get the membership after already booking a regular appoint. So definitely review their services ahead otherwise you'll be like me just throwing your credit card around like crazy, haha. End of story...they do good work here. Its pricey but thats just what this stuff costs. I like this KM location because it has a lot and plenty of parking. PS I didnt get any champagne offered to me..must be a member thing.

Although I loved the classic finish, I prefer a fuller volume set, so this time I went for a hybrid, and it was perfect - exactly what I wanted. Judy helped me, and she did an excellent job as well. Making a reservation is really easy, and their studio is nice, clean, and quiet. The prices are very reasonable. They are all professional and polite. I think they did a better job than my last lash tech, actually. The kind of lashes that they use are of very high quality and gives a natural finish. I'm glad I found this place. SD Nails is in the same lot as easy does it, Spicy Lao Kitchen, and Pho Duyen Mai, so parking is a bit fraught. Thankfully, I nabbed a spot and made it on time to my appointment. The nail salon is spacious and clean. I came in the early afternoon and there were very few customers at that time. They play music in the background and have TVs if you wish to watch something. I was given a binder with Diva brand gel nail polish and pursued through, looking for a red. Once I made my initial color decision, Christina got started with nail prep. She is very quick, careful, and precise with the filing and cuticle trim. She has such a light hand! I had no pain, redness, or swelling. She kept her work super neat and brushed nail dust off as she went. She listened carefully to what nail shape I wanted, and checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the shape before proceeding. When Christina applied the first layer of my chosen red to one of my nails, I immediately felt that it was too bright for my tastes. I felt bad speaking up, but Christina was very gracious about it and gave me more time to choose. When I was not happy with any of the reds in the Diva collection, she pulled out the swatches for another brand of gel polishes, and I found a red I was happy with there. I forget the brand but the code was 046. She applied it to another finger for me to see, and I was happy with this darker red. She cleaned off my first finger and started applying thin, neat layers to all of my fingers. I was really impressed by how clean her gel application was. I never felt the brush touch the surrounding skin, and she made sure to clean around and under the nail as she went. I also feel like the UV lamp was not too harsh. Sometimes, I feel a little sunburnt in the fingertips after getting my nails done, and even though I always apply sunscreen prior to a nail appointment, it is still not a pleasant feeling. The lamp here was definitely warm but not irritating. The time was also set appropriately and I never had to re-cure a layer. After the manicure itself, Christina did a super relaxing hand massage, not just half-hearted hand squeezing, and applied cuticle oil. The whole process took 50 minutes, cost ~$30, and I felt well-cared for the whole time. I have been to nail salons that leave me with streaky polish, messy skin, or nail dust under my nails. This is NOT that type of salon. I am super happy with the service and manicure I received here, and will definitely be back. I highly recommend Christina, she is excellent!
