I made a few calls, and settled on Matt and his company. At first, pricing for this sort of system surprised me, but once I saw how much work is involved, the artistry of deciding which type of light to place where (even sinking one light into my yard for maximum WOW factor lighting up my Cypress trees), the attention to detail and complexity of running (and completely hiding) all wiring, I was thrilled to pay the price. This has TRANSFORMED my home from 'meh' to 'wowie zowie'! My exterior just pops the second the AUTOMATED SYSTEM automatically lights up as soon as the sun begins to set. And of course, I can easily control them from my phone! It's been two years since install, and I love it everyday. Then, I experienced an electrical issue NOT related to the lighting system, but that affected it. Matt came by, diagnosed the issue, spent an hour replacing an electrical box, and voila, all is well again. This guy is really something, just a great attitude, superior skill set, and talented lighting artist. I highly recommend OC Night Lights!

The quote was pretty high for (1) connecting a hall LED light that was already purchased and (2) changing a motion detection light switch to a normal flip switch (which I did not have the parts for). When the technician arrived, he informed me that the quoted price $350 was for only one of the items. He wasn't aware of the additional repair and would normally have to charge me $175 but would give me a discount and only charge $125. So a total of $475 for less than an hours work. I'm buying a new home that needs a new breaker box, canned lights and additional plugs installed. I can't give them that work because I can't imagine what charges/up-charges I'd be looking at! Yikes!

I told Jody I needed a Tesla Wall Mounted into the garage. it was a complicated process because of old panels but the work around was to make a sub panel dedicated to the EV Charger. I asked if he can slide me in his busy schedule rather than waiting a week. He asked why I was in a hurry to get it done and I told him "I HATE CHARGING AT SUPER CHARGERS and I'm off on Thursday" .... Our house was built in 1937 and had the original knob and tube wiring. We were starting to have problems. We hired James to replace all of the re-wiring in the house. He was here a week and did a fantastic job going beyond our expectations. He was so professional, and also suggested a few upgrades that we hadn't even thought about. He really cares about his work and takes pride in doing it to the highest of standards. His original quote was more than fair and did not change at all even with all the extra work he did such as replacing a blown out motor in the bathroom fan and fixing the kitchen ventilation. He was respectful of our home and cleaned up so nicely every evening before he left. He and his co-worker were the nicest people to have in our home and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Every time, he's provided excellent service, quality work, and reasonable prices. 1st job was for a bathroom remodel which included new circuits for a washer & dryer, add light/fan combo over shower, add recessed light, add a few new outlets to an existing circuit. 2nd job was adding recessed lights with motion activated switches inside two closets that previously had no lighting. 3rd job was to replace a faulty outdoor receptacle and add an additional up in the roof eve for some patio string lights. read more

He said he had seen this before and quickly went to work on the outlet that the contractor had plugged an air compressor into when he was working. The vibration from the compressor had loosened the wires in the back of the outlet causing all of the outlets downstream of the problem outlet to stop working (due to being wired in series). TGN is my go to for any/all electrical needs, I highly recommend them.
