This capacitor can be purchased for about $35! Later, determined the capacitor was within specification, but the compressor was locked up, so told me he could unlock the compressor with a "hard start", which he did and that unlocked the compressor to get the unit working again. During check out, he said he's keep the price for the "hard start" the same as the quoted price for the 75 MFD capacitor, a bit over $400. After paying and the tech leaving, I search online and found the "hard start" is about the same price as the capacitor, even a bit lower. Doesn't require much of a math mind to figure out the margins they are making and feeling taken advantage of when desperate! Predatory behavior!
