I needed a website for a new business I was starting. I had already looked into WIXX they seemed…read morepretty reasonable. Not knowing anything about websites I clicked on "Hire A Professional" . I was directed to PIMM USA. I called and the Salesman told me all the wonderful things they were going to do for me. I would have a strong presence on Facebook. The would handle all of the SEO work. So I could be found by anyone on the internet. So I went for it for $300. Per Month. Within a couple of weeks I new it was a mistake. Nothing was happening, so I called Ryan Patterson to express my dissatisfaction. He said he would look into it for me. A week later, still with no website, I called back to say a I made a mistake and wanted to withdraw from the contract. That is when he told me I was basically stuck with them. The don't let people out of contracts. The salesman, Adam Levine, like most salesman who have lied to you, never answered his phone or responded to emails from me again. He did what he got paid for. I decided , since they were going to bleed the money out of me anyway, I'd try to get something out of it. I didn't. They eventually got the site "finished" . Again in texting with Ryan Patterson, He said that PIMM USA would handle all the SEO work which is the most important part of having a website. I still have the texts. They didn't. After 10 months and $3000. , not one single person found my website. NOT ONE. They also made a FB page with just as many visitors. Today I had another company look at the site. They told me all of the many thing that had to be fixed with my site, before any SEO would even help, because the site was built wrong from the beginning. I spoke to an attorney who advised me to simply ask for my money back, before going through the legal system. I'm waiting for them to call me back now. Oh and the did let me out of the contract after 10 months, but only if I would remove another review I left of them.

Although creating an account was a relatively simple process, setting up a website that was both functional and aesthetic was far less straightforward than it was advertised to be. For people who have full time jobs, working through the nuances of website design--how to manipulate images, change spacing between elements, understand how your site will function on a desktop vs. mobile, etc.--is exhausting. Squarespace doesn't offer any direct customer support, and when you do email them for help, they simply send you links to read and "how to" videos to watch. All in all the time and energy it takes to learn how to work with simple design elements can be extremely discouraging. Yes, you can set up a site, but there will be lots of things wrong with it and it will never really look like a professionally built site, which of course it isn't. Working with Mark, however, was simple, easy, and ultimately saved me an incredible amount of energy. After trying to work on my own with Squarespace for almost 2 years, I had a website, but it was nothing like what Mark was able to produce in a short period of time. What's more, working with Mark provided me with a website that was functional, professional, and beautifully reflects my personal brand. Not only does he possess an intricate off-hand knowledge of how the platform works, but he understands custom coding and will go to any lengths necessary to make sure you get what you want when it comes to the design of your site.
