As a 19 year old young woman, with various tattoos, I have quite a lot to say about this place, hang with me. It's taken me awhile to build up the courage to start up this review. It was a traumatic experience for me. I had made an appointment with an artist separately, Jordan, he was great. However, him and the owner had had previous issues, and midway through the tattoo, the owner had decided to fire him then and there. He said that if he did not leave, he would call the cops. My artist insisted that I finished my tattoo at least, and the owner said no. No? I was in shock. I left that day with an unfinished piece and a half done post up wrap and sterile. I would like to add that this took me 6 months to find another artist to finish up the tattoo, and I paid full price for just half of the tattoo. I would like to say this, which is the biggest part. This tattoo was on my spine. I did not have my top on, and the owner came into the room without any permission from me. This was vulnerable for me and I did not feel safe. I believe everyone should feel safe during their tattoo, and I was not. In addition, he threw the money at me, which was for my artist, and insisted I leave as well. Overall, as a young woman coming into this tattoo shop alone, I was shaking heading to my car. Do not go here. Do not go here if you want to risk leaving with a half done tattoo. I would like to say I am an all A student and I'd like to think a good citizen. I rarely make yelp reviews. Please trust me on this. I'd also like to say the owner keeps accusing me of theft? I don't fully understand the reason. I was a client who listened to what my artist had told me to do. He instructed me to walk downstairs and give them $300, which i think was a % of the price ? Must be a percentage that gets taken out when you have an artist and a shop. All i know was 1) i hit up an artist on instagram, he told me his price and make a deposit. 2) i made the deposit told him i would give the rest of the money to him in cash when i get there 3) i get there give him the cash i owed him started with my tattoo 4) he tells me to bring money downstairs to them 5) i get kicked out If the artist and the owner had issues prior to this, okay, and if the artist was committing theft, why am i at blame when i had no part in it? I paid $20 to have the jewelry changed on my girlfriend's dermal. We brought our own jewelry even, and the piercer completely screwed it up! My friend and I got tattoos here on 1/15/23 for the Friday the 13th deal. My second, her first. The employees in the main entrance room were nice, and we had no issues with anything until during the actual tattoo. We walked up to one of the rooms on the second floor where the tattoos were being done, and we were seen quickly. However, the artist barely even acknowledged us as we were showing him our choices. I went first, and my tattoo was completed in about 5-7 minutes. the guy was practically drilling into my skin, and barely wiped any blood off before literally saran-wrapping my arm. my friend went next, and hers bled significantly too. Obviously tattoos bleed, but it seems like the artist was being almost negligent. Of course the tattoos themselves were small and only $20, so maybe the artist just didn't feel like it was worth his time. While I can understand why he might've felt like that, as a customer it feels beyond disrespectful to have the artist channel their personal grievances into my literal skin. Remember, I got this tat in January of this year. To this day, one side of the tattoo is always bumpy and if I get stressed for whatever reason, it gets extremely itchy and inflamed. It's been almost a year since I got the tat, and it still gets a rash pretty often. The tattoo itself also seems kinda lazily done, with some lines not being fully complete and some dots missing. I ended up going to another shop a couple months later with a different friend who was looking to get a consult for themselves, and when I mentioned my situation to the guy there he told me that the most likely scenarios were scarring to the skin, allergy to the ink, or expired/unclean equipment. Whatever the case may be, I feel like I was not considered as a customer by the artist, more so a quick task to finish before he could go on break. The rest of the staff were great, but I can't help feeling like the entire experience turned sour for me. One day out of the blue my family and i were talking about piercings and tattoos. Then we were like hey let's go. I text my sister-in-law who recommended this place because she has been here a few times. We arrived there at about the time they opened but there was a lot of people. I mean a lot! Like maybe 15-20 people already. More people came after we were there. The piercing line wasn't that long it is a lot of paperwork to process prior to getting a piercing or a tattoo. Be aware that you do need to show proof of parent if you have a minor receiving any type of services. We waited about three hours before we got our tattoo artist. They call him Mr. clean also known as Tim. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and amazing. My daughter got a second ears pierced. My husband got his ears pierced. My cousin got her first tattoo. I got my first tattoo. My husband got his first tattoo. It was a memorable day. Thank you. Stars 1 star for facilities 1 star for service 1 star for parking 1 star for overall experience I wish I knew it would be a 3 hour wait but I did like how they provided water and snacks at the facility for free. Next time maybe I'll ask how long the wait is to mentally prepare myself. Some people were even waiting outside. Some people left and said they would return the following day. We purchased raincheck tattoo from this place for the Friday the 13th promo they had and there is no expiration date on the order. We made an appointment and the lady said it was expired. So a manager came up and then proceeded to question why we waited so long. Why we didn't find a tattoo place closer to home. Why we chose this spot. And all these rude questions. I went in today to get my industrial done, and the piercer just seemed very uneducated about the whole process. She only used one needle for both parts, and afterwards she squeezed my ear (the new piercing) to 'help drain it'. I have never been put in such an unprofessional setting when getting a piercing, I took it out right when I got home. Immediately after getting it pierced I started bruising, probably due to how rough she was with my ear. To top it off, there were roaches crawling around near the restroom/back waiting area. Also after paying for myself and my mom's piercings, the lady at the front came and charged us an extra $10 for a daith saying the prices changed. I got my first tattoo here about a year ago, it was a special since it was Halloween. It was done by Erkan, and I absolutely loved it! I went back again for my second and it was a bliss as well (Rudy was my artist). Recently I went for my third and specifically asked for Rudy, my appointment was not confirmed until I arrived at the store. (Note: it's a 30-40 mnt drive to the shop for me) Once I got there they told me my artist wasn't in and just passed me on to whoever was available. Luckily the tattoo I was getting didn't need much technique. This shouldn't be a normal thing tho, the girl behind the counter didn't ask if I wanted to come back or anything of that sense (since the artist I scheduled the appointment with wasn't in) I thought that was quite unprofessional. I'm not sure if it was due to it being a rain check or something. The girl behind the counter was not friendly either. They seemed annoyed? I was nothing but nice. And although I politely asked for a size alter twice, there was no reason for the attitude I was getting. (It will be on my body permanently, I wanted it just right) I ended up getting the tattoo anyways, since I had made the trip. Unfortunately I'm not comfortable enough to go back, and will be looking into another shop for my next tattoo:( Ps. A couple of days later I realized some of the letters had stroke marks (again rushed) if I would of noticed that there I would have asked for them to fix it. When getting a tattoo, we all want to visit a shop that makes you feel safe, comfortable, and does not put you in any type of unpleasant situations. Unfortunately, this is not what one of my close friends experienced here. Not only was she put into a situation where she felt extremely venerable and uncomfortable due to the actions of the shops owner, but later she was accused of being a thief by the man who walked in on her while she was topless getting a spine tattoo. I'd like to give this man the benefit of the doubt here, but responding to her review here by calling her a thief, for absolutely no reason might I add, just goes to show the true colors of the person in charge at this establishment. No one should be put into any situation similar to the one she had to go through, and at the end of the day what occurred was unprofessional and completely inappropriate. There are plenty of tattoo shops here in San Antonio that will take care of their clientele, and I urge anyone interested in getting a tattoo to visit one of those shops and not give money to this man. Update: My comment has sense been replied to by the owner saying "Your friend is a thief end of story." Which is quite comical seeing as she stole nothing from this man. I guess it hit a nerve hearing people calling him out for waking in on a topless 18 year old in the middle of a tattoo like a creep. Also the thief accusation is somehow correlated to an issue he had with a former employee that was giving my friend her tattoo. I'm not sure on the inner details of that situation, but to think that she was somehow involved in whatever the issue was is actually crazy. While waiting for our tattoos, two of us decided to get piercings. I got two and my friend got one. They artist was quick, thorough, and was generally amazing! As soon as we were done getting pierced we were up for our tattoos. The artist was awesome! He wasn't heavy handed at all and did an awesome job! I want to start off by saying ive had a very positive experience with all of the staff. The shop owner is very friendly and provides a clean environment (with goodies!) However the receptionist (Short Hispanic woman) in the front was extremely rude all three times ive gone. She deliberately was condescending to my friends and I, To the point where another person commented on her rudeness. Tried to shame my boyfriend due to him being white, and made comments that made him, our group and other group uncomfortable. When he did not hear her call his name,she got very aggressive because she had to repeat herself. Saying things such as "wtf". She stopped directing her comments towards us when I responded to her in Spanish.I loved my tattoo (tattoo artist was awesome and reassuring) and the other man in front was super helpful. However she created a tense environment to wait and has made my experience uncomfortable. Hopefully she has a better day next time I go in, but for now I think im gonna skip out and find a new shop :/ (Update: owner reached out to my boyfriend and i and was extremely, extremely helpful and kind. He gave me a numbing spray for my helix because it hurt like a beach but that was super nice of him and made me feel much better!!! got a simple tattoo during their friday the 13th sale and i love it! however the short woman at the front desk was just about the rudest person i've ever talked to working at a front desk. was trying to figure out a different tattoo to get, was asking questions about the pricing and if there was a way to go smaller, and she began talking to me like i was incompetent and got very condescending about blowouts and bleeding ink. then she looked at one of my own tattoos (one that i was so happy with how it came out) instead of the examples literally taped on the front desk to show customers and said that it was blown out, smudged, and didn't look good. i was genuinely blown away that she would say something like that to a paying customer, of course it's a sale and im not paying anywhere near what i would pay on a regular day, but that was no way to talk to a person in general. read more

Making a counter to the review about friday the 13th expired tattoo. No real affiliation other than the one time i got my Friday the 13th tattoo, but they do tell you that theres a time frame to redeem the raincheck for the discounted tattoo. The line is long to get the raincheck/ buy your "13th" tattoo and all while waiting, they would constantly say that the rain-checks have a limited time frame to redeem. For anyone who might go there today, just be aware of the rules they have in place so that you dont want to wait too long for the raincheck and miss out. When i went i got 2 rain checks which i was able to go a couple of weeks after to get done and honestly came out fine. Definitely the place i wanna go to again since they allow some variability with what you can get tattooed. just note it has to be small for the "13th" tattoo and not to detail since they restrict the size of said tattoo to be no more than a few square inches. read more

Phew, where to begin. I should have ran far far away. I agree that the piercer here is TRASH. My septum piercing was done in a very violent manner and the healing process is reflecting that. I have had someone with a good reputation as a piercer take a look and they even recommend it be taken out for being pierced in the wrong location. The man was very unprofessional as stated, these are all accurate descriptions of that man that I also experienced. He provided me no aftercare instructions and just seemed to fly through the whole process. Can you all also ask him what he meant when he said "I went into cruise control a couple hours ago?". Went in on whim after moving here and seeing there instagram posting for the specials and deals they have. So far I've gotten 3 piercings here or technically 2. First was my double nostril which was the third attempt I've had after struggling with previous piercings and the piercer did a superb job. Following that I went back for my septum and again amazing job, made the experience easy as fuck and least bit stressful as I've struggled to maintain them with how my body rejects or precious piercers work. Following that in the same day I got two tattoos from Rudy who is by far one of my favorite artist in the shop. He did my elbow snd 2 pieces above both knees in one day then coming back again Alex I believe did a forearm piece for me. All tattoos came out better then anticipated, great detail and the pricing was solid. They run great deals and promotions along with rewards for there customers. Vale up front was super helpful and sweet with getting everything set up and was able to answer all my questions about piercing care and follow ups with the most care. Went in over the weekend with a friend to get tattoos. We walked in the wait was about 2 hours which was fine we were expecting it. A couple things happened during the visit. First after another customer there got a piercing, the piercer grabbed one of the popsicles from the fridge where all the other customers have had their hands in, handed her a popsicles, and told her to put it on her fresh piercing. We thought it was odd putting a dirty popsicle on an open wound. Anyways we go upstairs to get our tattoos with Jonathan I believe his name is and the table he puts us on is dirty, there's shoe prints and dirt all over it. He prints her stencil huge and when she asks if he can make it smaller he seems inconvenienced like if anyone would've wanted a 3x3 smiley face covering their arm. As he's doing her tattoo I can see him going over the same lines multiple times. Now for my tattoo he still didn't clean the table in between us or the Saran Wrap on the area my arm is laying. The shop prides itself on being THE place for LGBTQ+ folk, yet the entire time my friend and I were there we were consistently misgendered. The shop was loud and crowded, I have hearing difficulties but the shop owner only mumbled. We were there for a sale, but arrived a little late. He only offered to let us come back the next day for half off, which wasn't the same deal we were wanting to do. After struggling to hear what he was even saying and being severely disappointed at the constant misgendering (he did not stop even when corrected. My friend is a man and I'm non-binary. He exclusively referred to us as women) we will not be back even for the competitive deal. I've been here twice before for tattoos, every single time the owner misgenders me. Both of us "pass" so there should be no reason unless it's deliberate. Considering the history with this shop I believe it is intentional. Not only that, but the first time I ever got a tattoo here the artist asked if it was "an Indian thing" and when I said "no I'm Native American" argued "well it's the same thing." No, it isn't. He didn't do a good job, the lines are crooked and uneven and the coloring isn't very nice either. Place is a scam. Do not recommend. The receptionist draws out the tattoo and gives it to the tattoo artist after the fact that they take your money and then tell you there are no refunds. What kind of tattoo artist tells you that the tattoo wouldn't look right then proceeds to tell you that the receptionist should have told you. There were 5-6 people going to get matching tattoos for my step dad and when the artist told my disinter that the tattoo wouldn't look right they asked for a refund. The receptionist told them they would get a refund but instead kept their money. Then I commented on their posting on Facebook that they were a scam and they replied with "if you did all the paperwork then there are no refunds" and blocked me from commenting any further. So now I will warn everyone another way. DO NOT Get a tattoo from this place ****update. Your response will show everyone how professional you are. We did not waste anyone's time had y'all operate like a tatto shop should and have your artist actually draw the art work and not your receptionist. And I did get a tattoo from this place but not everyone did. As far as the state being on your side, we will see about that and yes you did charge my card everyone's card and yes you should be able to refund them like any other professional business can. I was visiting from Massachusetts so I just HAD to get a tattoo. I ended up communicating with James via email to set up an appointment and talk to him about what I was looking to get - he answered so quickly and was so friendly. Amazing customer service here! Elias ended up doing my tattoo when I arrived. He customized my tattoo exactly how I described it to him and gave me some of his professional input on it as well which was awesome. He did such a phenomenal job in such little time. I am beyond impressed with this shop - I have been to several other shops within several different states and this one definitely made a lasting impact and trumps all. Don't recommend to get piercings here at least not your septum. I got my septum pierced here 3 months ago and I was still having pain and discomfort. I had even developed a bump on my left nostril. I came to this other shop today to get the bump checked out and come to find out, all my problems most likely stemmed from it being pierced in the wrong spot. Instead of it being in the thin tissue, it was in the more dense. I decided to take it out. I will never go back to this shop. read more
