This school is excellent in many ways. Communication with parents and updates are timely. My daughter enjoys attending this school.

Traditional schooling was just not an option for our family and we feel so SO SO grateful that the staff here has worked diligently to provide a school that offers a more tailored and down-to-earth educational approach. What we really appreciate is how many instruction options WT offers, you can choose from 4 days a week full day, or 4 half days, or 2 full or half days. But what we love the best is the overall knowing that our child is well looked after and generally loved as an individual all the while receiving an education that values the environment and the overall well-being of children and connecting to the two through meaningful and relevant activities in the classroom. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional schooling please know your child will be well cared for here and will actually love learning!! We LOVE Willow tree!!!!

My daughter graduated last year and has been well prepared to head into high school. My son has been a student since the first grade and has been completely held and nurtured as a learner and a child. The teachers are well trained, the curriculum is rich and diverse, and the leadership team is responsive and caring. It really says a lot about the community that it has stayed cohesive through many challenges over the years with their location and the pandemic. Bethany and her staff are true beacons of strength and care.

Everyone from the receptionist Mrs. Magaña to the principal Mrs. Taitano acts like they're above you and won't give you -- a paying customer -- the time of day. The receptionist was bilingual and since I also was fluent in Spanish, I chose to speak to her in Spanish. She promptly race-shamed me to insist I only speak in English. I'm an American citizen and I didn't appreciate the rude and racist treatment. However, I tolerated the treatment for the sake of my son. Next, my son missed a few assignments and I hired a tutor to help him get caught up. I asked the teacher, Linda Hayek, for his missed assignments via email and she never responded to me. We later asked again for the assignments, involving the principal and she nastily retorted that I was "making up stories" and that I had not asked for the assignments and not received them. I have an electronic paper trail to prove I did ask the teacher for them. My husband was upset at how they were treating me so he responded to the principal in an assertive but respectful tone and we received the most unprofessional reply from the principal. Rather than supporting our son and helping us create a plan to help him succeed, they kicked him out of the school. At some point during this exchange, they said we could leave and receive a full refund, but after they kicked us out they only refunded us our security deposit and said they would give us the rest "later" (yeah, right...). I insisted they keep their word which was also expressed in written form. These people do not care about children's education. They only care about money and a hypocritical form of piety that was absolutely disgraceful. I am a catholic, but I am ashamed to have served at, donated to, and enrolled my son in a school with such ungodly leadership. This was not a one off case either. My friends enrolled her kids here and also received the same rude stuck up attitudes and lack of support. Stay FAR AWAY!

My family and I are so pleased at his development and his love and affection for his classmates, teachers and staff. Everyone at the school is so inviting and takes an honest, pure interest in each child and family. We have felt welcomed since the day we took an initial tour to now several months later. We have enjoyed the school and church activities immensely. We hope to be able to keep him enrolled as long as possible. I highly recommend St. Peter's The Apostle Catholic School.

Less than a month after he started to Martin Luther Kind Jr. Middle school; I realized the repetition from my older son's trepidation during middle school. It goes from 6,7, and 8th grades, and it's so bland and overcrowded that it's a miracle now student s aren't falling through the cracks. Between the standardized esta after standardized tests; there's hardly any time for our kids to actually LEARN; and the amount the want you to know to show proficiency in a grade is at least a C-... I remember the minty taste of our class' mint flavored finger paste. Good times...im surprised I never got myself sick! Speaking of sick...we've had so many emergencies come up since moving that what little savings I have is gone. My slumlord landlord charged me for the ENTIRE cleaning and paint/mail patch/etc: fee even though I'm pretty sure I replaced all of the screens in the house myself, did drywall work and patching; perimeter all of the walls and whatnot, paid for installation of services, AND I have receipts from less than a year ago stating all of the items I would fix because they kept dragging their feet. This is somewhat remarkable, considering the fact that the husband who is the owner told us not to worry about doing anything except for sweeping out the house and making sure that things were dusted off because they were planning on doing a whole bunch of demo. However, they did do quite a bit of demo, to the point where I went into the back to make sure I hadn't forgot anything and I had to take pictures because it was so filthy and covered in dust and debris and drywall and chunks of things and the floors were halfway ripped out everywhere and they just left their machinery.. However, the floor was coated in thick white sawdust from the pieces of her got a ring put in and the house itself looks fine except for when the shower started draining again and it would have a very bad drip all night long so I finally decided to call the warranty company but it also run by them the fact that these people have not been keeping up on their warranty and have us let things slide in the house that could've been fixed for a $60 calling fee wind up spending $150 just trying to figure out what was wrong with our pipe out here so it's been a painful move and bills keep popping up but I don't expect them to but I'm hoping nothing else goes wrong until i can see for myself. There is a big piece of flooring in the curve of the house that is weighing down on itself - and the screens I replaced just months ago are now looking like they made need to be replaced again. I kept a detailed list when they came back after not doing a single thing they claimed her husband would do "at his earliest convenience." Instead I had to hire their own under the table maintenance man to help he fix all the random things that needed to be done. But it's a house, right,? It's hard to reconcile that such a huge item it's not worth its weight in shelter and happiness! It certainly is, but I do know there are better deals out there!

The school is so welcoming and the staff is warm and friendly. Most of the teachers here appear to all be friends or related in some form, so there's a lot of camaraderie. I guess this is a benefit of working in such a small community. In my experience, the staff genuinely care about the education of the students and try their best to accomplish this task, despite the difficulties with the current CORE exams and expectations. It appeared to me that a lot of investment is made in the materials and equipment that the students have access too. I've seen iPads, laptops, computers and the use of Smartboards in the classrooms. Overall, I've honestly enjoyed the atmosphere and the team spirit displayed here at La Paloma Elementary.
