The only problems we have had are with the office staff. My husband was added to my insurance at the beginning of this year. He came in this week for a required follow up appointment to refill a prescription. He gave them his new insurance card, and was told that this visit fell under the 1 year pre-existing condition part of our benefits, and these visits wouldn't be covered until Jan 15, 2015. It's about $100 a visit without insurance, and I just spent $400 backdating his insurance to start Jan 1, 2014. So I called my insurance company.. surely a general well visit to refill an anxiety prescription he's been taking for over 4 years now should be covered, right? My insurance company said this was what they considered just a regular office visit and all we should have to pay is $35 co-pay. They also stated there were no stipulations or provisions on our policy pertaining to his anxiety medicine, which we disclosed in his application with his medical history, that would consider this a pre-existing condition. I asked them what I should do next, and they said to call the Dr. office and have them call the insurance company. She said anyone there would tell their office the same thing she told me. My husband had already left the office at this point because we didn't want to pay out of pocket for the appointment when we have insurance. So he called back and told the Dr office to call the insurance company. She said she already had and that they did not know what they were talking about because they didn't have my husband's medical history. Since she was so uncooperative, I tried to call myself. She refused to speak with me, insisting I was not authorized in the matter. Even though it is MY insurance plan and I am his WIFE. My husband had to call and give them permission to speak with me (even though I am pretty sure he filled out a form saying it was okay to release his patient information to his wife - they didn't bother to check his file for that paper). She finally called me back and went on to tell me she had been dealing with insurance for many years now and she knows that this will be considered pre-existing. She also said that the insurance company was wrong because a claim would have to be filed before they could determine whether this was just a general office visit or a pre-existing condition. In that case, wouldn't you treat it as a general office visit at the co-pay amount, and then bill us if the insurance later decides it is considered pre-existing? That's how every doctor, specialist, etc. I've ever seen has done things. She said they have an office policy that they won't do that. So I let her know that is very unfortunate because now Dr. Muñoz would be losing a patient. We very easily called another Dr. in our network, they got us on the books for today, and assured me we would only have to pay the co-pay, and that she had also been dealing with insurance for many years and had never seen a prescription follow-up appointment fall under pre-existing condition clauses. She asked that we do call Dr. Muñoz office to have them fax over his lab work so they didn't have to do it all over again.. which was another pain in the butt! We called them for 2 days straight and got a recording every time, until today. She said because this wasn't a referral from Dr. Muñoz, but rather us choosing to see another doctor, we had to go to the new doctor's office and sign a consent form that they then had to fax over to Dr. Muñoz before they would even send it over. Even though my husband was giving verbal consent to have the records sent over. It was just routine blood work results that they were asking for. She said every doctor's office does it this way, even though our new doctor is an example to the contrary. Our new doctor office tried calling for the results and got the same hassle we did. She asked that in the meantime, before sending the consent form, can they just tell her what blood work they did so their office would know what to draw for his appointment today. They got put on hold for a long while and no one ever picked up. She called back and the lady in Dr. Muñoz office told her that she was too busy with a patient. This was just an overall nightmare of an experience and they really didn't try to work with us or make anything easier because they thought they knew better than us and the insurance company. It was a lot of unnecessary stress and last minute scrambling that we had to do. I feel bad that Dr. Muñoz had to lose a patient, one that had been paying out of pocket without insurance for almost 2 years no less, just because his staff insisted on making everything so difficult.

His bedside manner is some of the best I have experienced. I really like the fact that it is a small office, without the labs on-site. All other offices I have been to with these types of facilities, tend to run up my bill with needless test since they pocket all the money. The online appointment/record system they use is great as well. I can usually get a same day appointment without hassle. Definitely checkout Dr. Munoz if you are looking for a new doctor!

Within days I was in the hospital having the first stent put in, with another a couple weeks later. Seriously?!? Salmon should lose his license. He needs to retire. And when I mentioned this to others in the medical field they said I wasn't the first to complain and I was lucky to have switched doctors. As for his office, he cares the same way he cares for his patients. The naugahyde on some of his chairs are completely gone, where somebody's rested their head or their arms. I'm a surgeon myself, so is my husband and I have sent a good number of friends his way. He's a "doctor's doctor." Many of the surgeons I know use him as their personal primary care doctor. He is an intuitive caregiver who anticipates problems and gives concise, thoughtful and very helpful medical guidance. Actually as I'm writing this I'm reminded that a few years ago he made an offhand comment that maybe my husband should have a colonoscopy. Apparently Dr Schneider documented this in his medical record. When we were applying for life insurance and disability, the insurance company required us to get all the testing that had been suggested and was documented in the records. Because my husband is too young to qualify for a colonoscopy based on screening guidelines, we had to pay out-of-pocket to get this test. Fast forward, during the colonoscopy they found a giant polyp which according to the gastroenterologist would've been invasive cancer by the time he was old enough to qualify for screening. No family history, no symptoms, a silent time bomb sitting in his colon. So I guess you could say that Dr. Schneider, in his typical intuitive medical Sherlock Holmes style , preemptively cured my husband of cancer. And there you go, the doctor's doctor.

I have found both Terwelp and Howard to be very knowledgeable, thorough, and give great advice/recommendations. I've had to call them several times when my son was sick (or "sick"), and have gotten honest answers - sometimes I've been told my son's condition was completely normal, other times they told me to come in, and were always able to get us in right away. They both have great bedside manners, and I feel very, very comfortable having my son in their care. I also like the clinic - it's made for kids, and the office lady knows all our names when we come in - friendly and welcoming. We plan to take all our kids (existing and not yet born) to this clinic.

I just got off the phone with someone from their office and my first thought was "Man, I just love everyone in that office, I wish they saw adults so they could be my primary care physicians as well" I cannot emphasize how spectacular everyone is from sweet and funny people who answer the phone, to the patient and caring nurses who will always spend the time to talk to me on the phone if I have questions about things like vitamins or formula or tips for teething. Dr. Terwelp has amazing credentials and a great bedside manner. Dr. Howard is warm, patient and extremely thorough, she REALLY listens. I trust them both completely. As a first time Mom I often have questions that may seem silly to more experienced parents, but I have never felt judged or uncomfortable asking. I have also never felt rushed in their offices, which is HUGE! They take their time with my son AND ensure they address any and all questions I have at each appointment. Speaking of appointments, I have never waited more than about 4-5 minutes in the waiting room, so the front office staff deserves a high five for being excellent schedulers. The second happened today: I had a virtual appointment this morning, and moments ago received a phone call demanding immediate payment -- not just for today's appointment, but also for one from a month ago that I hadn't even been notified about until just an hour earlier from my insurance. When I asked if I could pay through the portal, I was repeatedly pressured to pay over the phone instead, as if I was avoiding the bill. I have no issue paying my bill, and in fact, I paid it immediately after the call ended. But I was spoken to as if I had ignored multiple invoices, and the tone felt aggressive and was incredibly inappropriate. I understand that medical offices deal with difficult patients all the time. But kindness should be the standard, not the exception, especially when both phone calls I've had with your office staff have left a bad taste in my mouth. Thankfully, Dr. Ince makes it worth continuing care. But I'm genuinely relieved that my appointments are virtual, because based on how I've been treated, I have no desire to deal with this staff in person.

I was a new patient, yet they treated me with dignity, gave me the first available appointment. I arrived promptly, and waited unusually short time in their very clean and bright comfortable waiting room. The doctor interviewed me patiently and showed sincere interest in my health issues- not just the usual superficial small talk. I've been to many doctors who can't wait to "get rid" of the patient- in and (pop) out. Here I did get some personal attention which, I must say, made a big difference. After making sure he understood well what my condition was, Dr. Klocek prescribed a medicine that improved dramatically the way I felt. I think it is a high-tech antibiotic. Made so much sense, after a 5-6 days long struggle to get better with over-the-counter pills & syrups (NyQuil, DayQuil, Robitussin etc.) I was already at the end of my hope and patience. I thought I would miss my upcoming trans-atlantic flight. Thanks to Dr. Klocek I am up and running again... well, walking I'd say. I hope I won't be getting sick any soon.
