Audrey really understands where your body needs the most attention (my upper back was incredibly tight) and makes sure the pressure is good for you the entire time. Audrey's massage room is very relaxing with soft bedding, a warm massage table, quiet music and essential oils (she even starts the massage by rubbing essential oils in her hands and having you breath in deeply with her hands underneath your nose). It is very clear that Audrey knows what she's doing when she's giving a massage. She uses just the right amount of pressure and listens when you ask her to work on specific areas. Usually, whenever I get a massage elsewhere, the 60 minutes sometimes feel like they're over in 40, especially when I feel like the massage therapist is rushing certain areas. With Audrey, I'm able to fall into such an amazing state of relaxation that the 60 minutes feel closer to 80, and nothing ever feels rushed. I highly, highly recommend Audrey Danielle Massage if you're looking for a professional and outstanding massage!

You might know Tele Raack better as local Twitter maven @BIGstLittleCity or @WomanWifeMomMe. Funny…read moreenough, Tele and I didn't meet on Twitter: we met in the real world as hospice-volunteers-in-training. Tele is an amazing person: wife and mother of six, hospice volunteer, prolific Twitterer. She even sells crafts on Etsy! Tele also has amazing hands: she's a licensed massage therapist. She recently opened her new massage studio in a cozy office on the corner of Plumas and Plumb. Her studio is in an office complex built to resemble little cottages, so for those uncomfortable with the idea of letting their guard down for a massage, her location conveys a solid sense of professionalism yet isn't the least bit cold or clinical. From the moment you walk in the door of Tele's studio, say "aaahhh." The walls are painted wasabi green -- that's literally the name of the paint color. She has elegant Asian-themed wall hangings, bubbling fountains, soothing music and extra-soft sheets. Tele truly has great hands. I marveled at all the different hand movements she did, and how gentle she was. (At one point she asked me if I wanted to try harder and I said yes, but after one or two moves I couldn't take it!) It was a VERY thorough massage, and I still feel great a day later. I just wish I'd done my usual yoga first so I could get maximum benefit. Tele has a specific interest in massage for hospice patients, as well as geriatric patients. If you need healing hands for someone who's older and not well, she can help. If I were you, I'd book your massage with Tele tout suite. She knows a lot of people and is an excellent marketer. I bet you won't be able to get time with her in a year.

Also, the atmosphere in her relatively new studio is perfect and subtle enough not to distract. It is very tastefully decorated. If you are in need of a true escape and total relaxation, you need to schedule a massage with Tele. If you need a deep tissue therapeutic massage focused on one area, you need to schedule a massage with Tele. In short, she is totally responsive to what you need, no matter what it is. If you are looking for a quality, professional massage, I cannot recommend her enough.

I had ongoing issues such as sleep problems, leg numbness, lower back pain, and the typical tension in my neck and shoulders. These were persistent sub-health conditions that had been affecting me for quite some time. With each session, I've felt gradual but clear improvements. My sleep has improved, the numbness in my legs has decreased, and the tension in my lower back, neck, and shoulders has eased significantly. Overall, my body feels more relaxed, stronger, and more balanced. What I really appreciate is that the treatment seems to focus on addressing the root cause rather than just providing temporary relief. It's a gradual process, but the consistent progress week by week gives me a lot of confidence.

I am beyond disgusted with the way my 75 year old mother was treated at Reno Massage and…read moreReflexology. Yesterday, when I called to schedule an appointment, I told them my mother was 75 years old. I was told they could not give her a massage because she was "too old." They had never seen her, never asked about her medical history, and never asked whether she had medical clearance. They simply refused based on her age. I told them my mother is healthy and that her age alone should not determine whether she could receive a massage. Today, they agreed to see her. Before the massage even started, my mother burped once. The staff immediately said that if she was "ill," we would have to pay for the full hour. I explained that she was not sick. She had simply burped. Less than 10 minutes into the massage, the therapist stopped the massage and claimed my mother was ill. I immediately asked my mother how she felt, and she told me she felt perfectly fine and wanted to continue the massage. I told the therapist that my mother was not sick and wanted to finish the appointment. The therapist refused and walked away. The therapist repeatedly claimed there was something wrong with my mother's nose. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my mother's nose, and my mother was not ill. When I asked both the receptionist and the massage therapist for their names, they refused to identify themselves. I requested their names multiple times, and they still refused. Their refusal can be verified by the business's security cameras. I then photographed the massage licenses displayed at the business to identify the employees involved because they would not provide their names when asked. The names displayed were Chunfang Wu and Yuqi Li. What was just as upsetting as the treatment itself was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. When a customer has a legitimate concern, refusing to identify yourself, refusing to answer questions, and simply walking away is unacceptable. My mother was humiliated and treated with a complete lack of dignity and respect. She was denied service yesterday because they said she was "too old," and today her massage was abruptly ended even though she repeatedly said she felt perfectly well and wanted to continue. This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and deeply upsetting. No customer, especially a 75 year old woman, should be judged solely because of her age, embarrassed over a single burp, or have a massage terminated despite repeatedly stating she felt fine. I will never return to this business, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Everyone hid to avoid giving me their name. With this type of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service this business is doomed to go out of business soon.
