I've been cutting my hair with Donna for 2 years now and love it! I started using the products she recommends and following her routine for curly hair and my hair is now showing more defined curl. I highly recommend her haircut for wavy/ curly hair. She solved my problem of hair texture. Her prices are fair and she is super experienced. read more

New customer appointment ($145) it's cheaper after but the information and the attention to detail definitely makes it worth it. Lots of great clean curly hair products to choose from with no pressure . The vibes is nice and there's a coffee machine in the waiting area. It's definitely a nice curly hair experience. I would recommend. Ive always had the usual wash & blow-dry for special occasions but to have someone help with my day to day curly hair journey is just life changing read more

I have very curly hair and have been to many salons that have claimed to be curly specialists, but don't think they really were.I made my appt with Donna and of course I felt very nervous going in. She made me feel very at ease and we chatted about my crazy curls for awhile and once she started cutting I knew I was in the right place! She did an amazing job and I have finally found my perfect curly hair stylist. read more

Donna did a phenomenal job on my hair, I hadn't had a cut in over 12 months. She clearly not only understands how to work with curly hair but appreciates the artistry of working with it. Can't recommend her highly enough. read more

I just left Live Curly, Live Free and I have't been happier with my hair in years!! I always had big wild curly hair and a few years ago, it stopped curling. To say my heart broke is an understatement. I sort of gave up, I thought, "maybe my hair is just not curly anymore..." Then a few months ago, a friend of mine went to Tiffany to get her hair done and posted about it. i saw the name of the salon and I knew I HAD to try it out! I was absolutely not disappointed! My appointment was so much more than a haircut! We talked abt life, family, and work. We laughed a lot and it was like visiting with an old friend! And on top of all of that, my hair looks great! It's got so much more curl, body, and life! She listened, gave me a lot of great info on how to care for my hair, and explained to me why what I was already doing wasn't working! I will recommend this salon and Tiffany to all of my curly girl friends! read more

We drive over an hour to get my daughter's hair cut at this salon! My daughter has beautiful curly hair that wasn't looking its best. A curly hair friend recommended Tiffany and we were thrilled. The salon is quaint and cozy, but Tiffany's focus and friendliness soon put my daughter at ease. Although I originally thought the first appointment long and perhaps expensive. It turned out that going to Live Curly Live Free actually saved me money. Instead of purchasing expensive shampoos and hair products, my daughter found ones that work better for her at less cost. It was worth the shlep. read more

Tiffany did an incredible job on my hair cut and educating me on maintaining my style! She is very knowledgable and provides step by step tips specially for your hair. The first appointment takes two hours and costs $135 but this is reasonable for the experience. Especially since you only go one a year the price is ok because you get what you pay for. Cuts after that start at $46. Tiffany has beautiful curly hair as well so she knows what she is talking about. Self taught and I was very impressed with results. So glad I finally found my hairdresser!! Ivette in the office was also very sweet and the two of them together equal a fun time. Thank you Tiffany! read more

Live Curly Live Free - My beautiful haircut and curl by the one and only Tiffany. - Hair Salons Near Me - Largo, Florida

Tiffany rocks! She "gets" curly hair and will happily share her experience (as a curly lady herself) and tips for best results. Finally a cut that looks as nice curly or straight. Plus, following her hair care guidelines, if I take the time to blow dry straight during the summer it actually stays nice and doesn't get frizzy or melt the minute I walk out the door. I am saving a ton in hair care products AND love the results. I was somewhat following the Curly Girl (book) guidelines before I went to see her but Tiffany makes it real and takes it beyond (without having to order from NYC or mix up home brews), all while listening to your concerns and/or questions. Ladies travel from all over to see her so don't wait to schedule your appointment - do it today; you won't regret it. One note: she cuts dry so go in curly. read more

Had my first appt. last Wednesday and loved it. Tiffany is so knowledgeable about curly hair, which is exactly what I needed!!! I have tried for a couple of years now to embrace my natural curls without success!! I think now I have the understanding of what my hair wants and needs. I had a bit of a problem with my first attempt of washing and drying on my own, but think I have figured out my mistakes and even better how to fix my mistake without starting totally over!!!! Im excited to continue on the natural curl journey!!! Thank you Tiffany!!! read more

I started going to Tiffany about 4 years ago & she is by far the BEST hairdresser I have EVER been to. To the untrained eye, I have frizzy straight hair at best. Tiffany did a curly hair analysis and discovered that I have curls! She does dry cuts and provides a specific routine and product line recommendation for how to get the look at home. UNLIKE any other salon or hairsylist Tiffany DOESN'T push products down your throat or make you spend $100 on them in salon. In fact, my initial hair shampoo & conditioner recommendation was Suave Tropical Coconut! I now use Shea Moisture (the full Coconut & HIbiscus line) and LA Looks gel. SUPER high end results for a really reasonable affect on your purse! I also love that I go get my highlights done at a salon who specializes in color and Tiffany never nags me or complains or says the stylist doesn't know what she is doing. She complimented my color and said it looked great! She is an amazing stylist and let's face it her hair is THE most gorgeous of all!! I will always have Tiffany cut my hair as long as she is around! read more

I had my first appointment with Tiffany and Missy. They are by far the sweetest and most knowledgeable curly experts I have ever met! I LOVE my new curly look!!! What a blessing they are and I loved hearing about their curly girl journey . Thank you so much and see you in a couple months read more

I've been a client for 5+ years...I thought I was doing OK in managing my extremely thick, curly hair on my own, but once Tiffany showed me her method for caring for curls, I've never looked back. My hair has never been so soft, shiny and defined, and my scalp no longer suffers either. She is also a whiz with cuts and coloring - I always equated going shorter with poofy disaster, but I have to say I am loving the short-medium cut the most out of all the styles I have tried. I never thought I could go this short and still have hair that moves and falls gracefully. She's genius-level. read more

For 35+ years I've had my curly hair butchered every haircut. Then, I met these amazing ladies. Tiffany, Missy and Donna are the best at what they do. They're informative, pleasant and don't push products. My hair and I are so happy we found them read more

Tiffany scheduled a longer consultation and dry curly hair cut for my first appointment. She didn't try to sell products, and she does carry the Curl Junkie line. She explained the best ingredients and hair care routine for my hair texture and porosity. She understood I was trying to grow out my hair. She has cut and styled my hair once again since the initial hair consult and cut. It grows out easily without needing cuts except maybe every six months. It is easy to maintain. read more

I came in with a head full of knots that I was unable to get out of my hair, due to the kind of products I had been using before. The ladies of Live Curly Live Free are truly amazing! My hair is now knot free and I know what to do with the products they suggested! They are so compassionate about what they do and about curly-haired people. I will 100% be coming back. read more

Tiffany is flat out (no pun intended) the BEST for curly hair! I fly all the way from Massachusetts for her to cut my hair . . . ok, maybe not JUST to see Tiffany, but she is always one of my stops whenever I'm in the Tampa Bay area. She has so much patience and great advice. She isn't loyal to one brand, i.e. doesn't try to sell you stuff, but rather just gives honest advice on what products she thinks would work best for your hair type (because not all curly hair is the same!). I'm yet to find a stylist in Boston that I like even half as much as Tiffany, and they charge me 3 or 4 times as much! Her new salon is very cute and welcoming and the neighborhood it's in is very fun, so build in a few extra hours to your visit with Tiffany for lunch and shopping. Make your appointment today, you won't be sorry. read more

I was very dissappointed in the entire experience at Live Curly Live Free. My hair doesn't look any different, and it was a huge waste of money. Their salon is very small, dingy and akward. Their one bathroom is so tiny and the door is an accordian door. The cut, dry and style took over 2 hours...what a waste of time. For the dry cut all she did was take small sections of my dry hair, twist them, and cut the ends. That's it, all around my head, for an hour! Then she washed my hair, left it dripping wet, put some leave in conditioner and some gel in, and squeezed some of the water out. Next she used a few butterfly clips to position some of the curls, mainly in the back, and began blow drying it with a diffuser. The diffuser kept falling off every few minutes, and it took forever for my hair to dry even a little because of all the water and product in it. Finally when she had dried my hair a little, she turned me around and my hair looked aweful. There were a few curls sticking up in the back and the rest was flat against my head with barely a wave in it. I paid and left as quickly as I could because I just could not take any more. Please don't waste your time and money going to this salon like I did. You will regret it! read more
