Whole Aveda keeps it professional and is such a welcoming salon that offers not only great service, but is always innovating their products (and serving great tea!) I'm so happy I found this place and that I don't have to travel far to downtown St. Pete or cross the bridge to Tampa to get my hair done. Dwayne is sincerely the best in the business and the only person I trust with my hair now! Call me basic, but for years I've been asking for ashy blonde highlights but because my hair is so dark, we could either never achieve the right shade or my hair would go brassy after a good amount of washes. Let me tell you Dwayne has made my ashy blonde dreams come true and nails 'the look' every time!!! (insert clapping and party emojis) Even months later, I still have a good color tone to my hair and it never goes orange like it did before. Not only is Dwayne a master at coloring hair, but he has an eye for cutting it too. Last time I didn't have to show a picture. I also felt completely safe going in during this pandemic. It's required to wear a mask at all times and everyone gets their temperature checked and has a spritz of sanitizer upon entry. I was looking for a stylist to cut my hair into a modern bob after neglecting my hair for 6 months after moving to the area. I can honestly say that Marsha at Whole Aveda has given me the best haircut I ever had in my life. I have thick, dense wavy hair and Marsha took the time to study and get to know my hair before she began. The real test after a cut is when you have to wash and style yourself and I have worn it both straight and natural waves since and it is effortless and just as beautiful. I loved my experience at this particular salon. I came in knowing what I wanted but not knowing how to get there. My first appointment was with Kelly Lynn. She was very upfront with me and directed me a person who can get my hair the way I wanted. Anna was my color lady and she was AMAZING. I know I have difficult hair to work with, plus it has been dealt with so many times by other people, that I knew getting the color I want was going to be a daunting task. Anna did the impossible and got me to my dream hair in just one session. The whole experience was so nice and relaxing. The salon looks cute from the outside and you'll definitely pay like it's an expensive place, but the quality of work is fair and the actual salon is pretty ghetto looking inside. The paint is chipping off the walls and it's very outdated. Definitely not where I want to spend nearly $400 for highlights and a haircut. read more

I've been going to the Whole Aveda salon in Largo for over 3 years and the reason is bc I love the Aveda hair products and it's close to my house. This particular salon isn't like the other Aveda salons I've been to...the decor is unappealing and since the new owners purchased it over 3 years ago and did some renovations, it still looks unfinished. The small details have been overlooked to be more aesthetically appealing...base boards need painting and or cleaned up, theres a couple holes in the walls, window shades are old, bathroom door needs paint, etc. The Oldsmar Whole salon is beautiful! You can tell which salon the owner caters and cares about. I will add that I have an amazing hairstylist and always look forward to my appointment. She takes the time to make sure she's meeting my expectations. read more

I previously had a horrific hair experience with different salon and I went over a year without getting my hair cut or colored. A friend recommended Crystal to me and she was beyond amazing! This is the best salon and the best stylist, Brandie, within a salon I have ever been too . I have challenging hair!! The prices are excellent, they are upfront with you about everything immediately and listen to what you what while telling you what can be done with your hair. I have long, naturally curly hair to the middle of my back. Brandie cut my hair, colored it--picking a great color to match my skin tones, conditioned it with a special treatment and styled it. When I left my hair looked soft, fine, and tamed, like I had a keratin treatment. She took her time, told me all kinds of ways to take care of my hair and best of all the cut and color looked so natural, you could not tell it was not my natural color--I have a medium brown hair with gray roots (which are all gone. ) My family could not believe it and my hair, not me, nearly caused a traffic jam. It looked magic. I attribute all of this to Brandie. My daughter paid for this as my Christmas present but I am so delighted I intend to treat myself to this with Brandie every 8 weeks. I feel that they made me look the best I could while watching out for my daughter's pocket book. The place is spotless, decorated with class and everyone is super nice. The woman whose hair Brandie did was a blonde with gray roots, super fine but wound up looking sexy and classy. What a great stylist, Brandie is and a first class salon. read more

So have driven by Whole Aveda largo for years. After my former stylist left my last salon I was at a loss... After a quick Google search I realized that this amazing salon was so close to my house! All I have to say is, WOW. Not only were they very accommodating for my quick appointment request but they were also able to set my up with the most amazing stylist, Amy. Amy was personable and attentive. She listened to all of my concerns and past experiences to make sure we were on the same page with what I wanted from my haircut. I highly recommend this Salon! I do not write reviews often, but I wanted to say that I really enjoyed my visit here!! The salon is a little out of the way for me, but the travel was well worth it as Emily was my stylist and she did such a fantastic job on my ombre/balayage request!!! Of course I also was able to get worked in last minute despite the holiday schedule and she was more than welcoming. It has been a while since I have been really comfortable to talk a lot when I get my hair done as I tend to be introverted and shy, but she made me feel welcomed and comfortable it just felt so natural. She spent her time when painting my hair, which really shows in the final product! I am very satisfied if not pleased with her work and plan to return in the future! Having moved here from Southern California, it has been difficult for me to find someone to trust with my hair so I am glad to have had such a pleasant experience! The hair coloring products used at Aveda are natural which I find very nice for the hair because even though I had it lightened quite a few shades, the shine and texture still feels like my natural hair! Which is normally not the case for me in the past at other salons seeing as to I dye my hair quite frequently. read more

Wow, I am traveling and ran out of my Aveda hair products. I could only use the travel size bottles, and Aveda doesn't make my product in travel size. So, when I walked into this salon today, I had to ask advise on a new product. I had to also ask which ones are gluten-free because I have celiac disease. The girl at the front desk, was so helpful and actually went in back and printed out a list of products that are gluten-free. How wonderful is that! Also, while I was waiting, 2 other employees asked if I've been helped. As I was going through the list of products, I was asking questions about the products. One of the girls was so knowledge about every product, it was AMAZING!! I would recommend this salon to anyone, because of AMAZING customer service, and AMAZING products! Stay away from Sydney at this location!!!! Came in to get my hair touched up as I was new in town trying to find a new salon is always scary .. I went in for full highlights and root touch up . Mind you my natural hair is black so my roots were obviously black ... and hair blonde I've been doing this for years now .... she decided to do my roots a dark cherry brown ... just a shade above my black hair horrible no idea why she thought it would be a good shade !!!! Not to mention I got charged $327 just so she could screw up ! I came back in a couple days later explain to her what happen and all she did was add highlights around were I part my hair it looked better .and said I could come back in 6 weeks so she could fix the roots ! Excuse me why would I even want to come back after you screwed up the first time . Anyways so once I wanted to do hair styles it just look as if I never got my hair done !!!! Now that I'm a month out it looks like I haven't done my hair in 3 months !!!!!!!!! Ugh what a waste !
