First found the San Francisco store but I am delighted Liuli has moved to Orange county. This is a one of a kind experience. Entering this store is like stepping into a beautiful oasis. The glass sculptures are breathtaking - truely a gift to the spirit. Each piece captivates you. And you are never disturbed by the salespeople. They want you to enjoy the beauty of the art work and will only come to your side if you wish their assistance. I had previously purchased a unique necklace which held a glass sculptured water lily. I went into the store today for earrings to wear with the necklace. I found two lovely pairs of earrings and couldn't be happier. I know I will never see anyone else wearing my earrings. These seemed to be pieces that were made with great care and thought. They served purpose while evoking happiness and content. There was quite a variety of small tableware like chopstick rests, small dishes, and cooking utensils. They had pretty glassware and bento box options too. I only purchased a small solid perfume with an Osmanthus scent. It was sweet and refreshing. I was reminded of childhood, like kindergarten. I did want to purchase a hand lotion but I still have a few that I need to finish. All 4 scents are pretty, but definitely try some on yourself. The scent mixes with your body chemistry and can be a bit different as a finished result. A seemingly ignorant customer had made a comment that she could go to Japan and find these pieces for a cheaper price. Which may be true, but rather than import costs you'd have to calculate flight, transportation, lodging costs as well as your time to try and locate similar pieces. I believe the store was curated well to choose intentional items that can elevate your lifestyle and day to day activities.

This flagship brick-and-mortar location first opened in 2016 and M.Lovewell used to have a mini location inside Contra Coffee + Tea in Old Towne Orange (now closed). At the end of each July, the store offers Anniversary Weekend sales with an additional 20% off most items. [Parking]: There is a parking structure across the street for 4th Street Market. I had no issue finding free street parking in this part of town on Sunday afternoon. [Selection]: There was a tote-making station for a $25 DIY tote (choose a tote color and one patch, tell the staff where you want it, and the staff will iron it on for you) and Build a Washi Tin for $44 (limited-edition 10-year washi tin and choose eight washi tapes to fit inside the tin). I was quite impressed with the cute stationery selection including planners, pens (Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol Markers + Zebra's MILDLINER) from brands like Sarasa, Penco, Zebra, Mono, and Uni-ball, writing paper (MD Paper), cases and pouches from The Superior Labor, greeting cards, stickers, stamps, watercolor boards, Toyo toolboxes, etc. They even offer really fancy pens from brands like OHTO as well as $200+ fountain pens and inks for fountain pens. They have tester pens for customers to try out. On their website, customers can preorder The Hobonichi Techo for new releases for the upcoming year. [Conclusion]: Overall this shop focuses more on Japanese stationery brands (they do not sell MUJI here) and personally this is one of the best pure stationery shops in Orange County. I like this store much better than places like Shorthand, Baum-kuchen, or The Social Type in Los Angeles.

I was planning a trip to the area, and was researching places that could help with a repair. Yelp came through again, and I got in touch with Stacey prior to my trip. She asked if I could text her a picture of my pendant. When she saw the picture, she felt as though she could provide me with some help. I met with Stacey this past Saturday afternoon. Her setup included a trailer of her custom made jewelry on display, and a cozy table and chairs outside. There was a pleasant and relaxing warmth to meeting and talking to Stacey in that environment. I showed Stacey how I hoped to reincorporate a jade that previously broke away from my pendant. I haven't worn this necklace in over a year. She could tell how much it meant to me to be able to wear it again. She took her time to remove the residual clasp, taking great care not to snip away at my pendant. She then found another clasp in her collection that blended in nicely with my pendant look and theme. She further went so far as to ease my concerns about the clasp by securing it with super glue, carefully applying it with a wire to avoid excess. I do not know if Stacey typically performs repair work on existing jewelry. It may likely be case by case, and I would highly recommend checking in with her first. I just wanted to highlight my experience in working with her. If I weren't so careless with my jewelry, I probably would have purchased a backup pendant that she can make with this beautiful leather that had this worn-in look to it. Thank you, Stacey, for all your help.
