It had movement. The color was beautiful. She was the perfect mix of down to earth, but elegant. There are a lot of things that I'd like to highlight about Littlefield. - Caring personal touch: It was my first time there (and certainly not my list), but Sarah and the rest of the stylists knew everyone that came in by name. They asked personal questions like, "How was your trip last week?"... "How is [name of the class] that you're taking?". - Thoughtful decor and ambiance: This space immediately puts you at ease. The waiting lounge is set in a comfy living-room style. Everything from the lighting fixtures to the beautiful small touches. Instead of sitting in the corner with aluminum foils on my head in an uncomfortable chair, the "coloring station" is around a beautiful glass table, complete with snacks, drinks, magazines, and cool conversation with other people around the table. It's clear that client experience is something that Sarah and her team have thought extensively about! -Comfortable community feel: It's pretty amazing that clients stroll through the front door, say hello, and help themselves to snacks and the coffee machine. The music is relaxing, but upbeat. Everyone from single-digit-aged kids that were getting their hair colored, to older men looking for a trim, to the quirky young professional that is graduating from the cheapo-supercuts. I immediately felt welcome, and I can see everyone else feeling the same way, too. - No obligation to continuously make small talk: It might be just me, but sometimes, I just want to go to a salon, and relax. To be honest, I can't imagine anyone not feeling immediately comfortable with Sarah. Sarah is wonderful at having awesome conversation sometimes, and then sometimes, just chillin' out and leaving comfortable silence. I think she has the gift of "just knowing". I like Sarah. I found my whole experience to be wonderful. The route there is beautiful. Right by the ocean with views of the city. The salon is quaint, and welcoming, and the staff very friendly. I got my hair done here and I am in love. My cut and style by Sara was amazing. My hair is thin but heavy, and Sara was able to add volume and shape, with minimal daily "maintenance" needed on my end. I got the Anti gravity oil free volumizer, and Powder puff volumizing powder, both excellent and easy routine in the morning. *You can park next to salon on the street (even tho sign says 10 mins), or on the streets nearby. read more

He is a well rounded stylist, who totally excels in the hair color dept. Watching him paint hair is like watching a true artist, every highlight and shadow perfectly placed with thought out precision. His knowledge and passion for hair color are evident with every client he sees. His laid back, sweet natured demeanor make him easy to talk to and fun to be around. I was pleased to discover this gem right near my house in the heart of Hough's Neck in Quincy. Clean, welcoming decor, pleasant music and very nice staff made it a relaxing experience. I had gone WAY too long since my last salon visit, and Sara did a great job getting my hair style back on track, brightening up my drab 'do and adding great shape and volume--hard to do with fine hair. Fun coloring books, magazines and conversation made the time pass quickly. I saw, when I got home (in different lighting), that my color turned out a bit bright for my taste. I hemmed and hawed about calling to ask if they could do anything with it, and I'm glad I did. Sara and Kenneth graciously fit me in the very next day, adding some highlights and lowlights to tone it down....on the house! I was fully expecting to pay for the add-on treatments, so I was bowled over by their customer service (motivating me to write my first Yelp review). I am so fortunate I found this little gem. I have been searching for a new place to go to every since moving to the South Shore and I read so many reviews of different places and finally decided to come to Littlefield salon. I booked an appointment with Jayce for a hair consultation but I knew I wanted to do some sort of color and a haircut. The experience was great. The salon is very cute and modern and clean. They have amenities such as snacks and water which I appreciated. The best of all was the customer service. Jayce was wonderful and super sweet and really good about my indecision to decide what to do with my hair in terms of color. It was always an expensive hassle and now with a new baby that's impossible. He matched my hair color perfectly and even helped soften the texture which was such an added bonus!
