I just want to start off that I would give Little Phillies 4.5 stars if I could. Most Wednesdays in college, myself and a couple of friends made a tradition of going to Little Phillies to enjoy buffalo wings, hoagies, and sweet tea like no other. Definitely a great spot if you need some filling and cheap food in a very friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent but not for the health conscious by any means. The staff for the most part are very friendly and there is definitely a cozy and country feel to it. Don't act too out of line because they won't hesitate to call you out on it. read more

We were brought here by a friend who said the food was great and he was right! Delishious food, reasonable prices and mom and pop type atmosphere. If the staff were a bit more proactive and the food came out quicker this place would have totally received 5 stars easily. Even with these things being said, thebfood was great enough for me to visit again and recommend it to others. read more

Nice gritty little place. Everyone was very friendly though the steak & onion Philly was sub par. Meat was full of gristle and grossly over seasoned. Meat seemed low quality. Onion rings & carrot cake weren't bad. The reviews are so generous I have to wonder if I had a bad batch of meat or the other reviews were biased. read more

I know there are a lot of popular spots in Atlanta but the best resides in Covington. Little Phillies is cheaper and better than the big name places. Best cheesesteak in the Atlanta area. read more

Best place in Ga to get a philly Sandwich. I highly recommend this place whether for lunch or dinner. It may not look much from the outside but it's a true sandwich shop. read more

I've been going here for over 20 years and the service has always been great...until now. The lunch staff seems to be untrained and have subpar customer service skills. We finally just had to ask for our money back and it's highly doubtful that we will ever return to this establishment. Vic would have never allowed this pitiful service in the past. Very disappointing. read more

Love this hole in the wall. It looks rundown and dirty but the food makes up for the building. The food is amazing. Most of the staff are great. There are a few there that need an attitude adjustment. read more

Tried to stop in and eat since the neighbor business recommended, sadly it was 9 minutes before they opened and I walked in since the door was open. They were quick to tell me they weren't open yet weren't very welcoming didn't seem to want my business so I left. Figure they would have asked me to relax a minute while they got set up so they could still take my money. 1 minute after opening a quarter of the staff took smoke breaks idk maybe I'm a Karen maybe I have different standards maybe that works for them. read more

We were really excited to try this place. We called in our order and the person taking the order was very rude and off putting. We went to pick up our order and experienced the same treatment. The Philly did not live up to its name. The steak was not seasoned and there was hardly any cheese. The fries were flavorless. We also ordered the wings and the sauce was just oil with no flavor. Will not be back. read more

Although the decor has not been updated since 1974 and some of the booths look like garage sale items the food here is fantastic. My favorite item is the mushroom and cheese philly. The meat is tender and well seasoned on a fresh hoagie roll with generous amounts of cheese and mushrooms. Although I do not live in Covington my work brings me to town and i can never leave without visiting at least once. if you like hoagies it is a must stop. read more

Little Phillies - Regular mushroom & cheese with fries - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Covington, Georgia

I was in Covington for business and was told to check this place out since I like Philly cheesesteaks. Oh my, the food was amazing. I had the best cheesesteak I've ever had here and it was too much to finish. The place was super crowded when I was there so it took a while to get my order but otherwise I was glad I went there. Definitely a place I'd like to go to again if I'm in Covington again. read more

Can I give 0 stars. Overly fried food. Inconsistent quality. I can deal with both of these, but I cannot tolerate horrible customer service. They talk about their customers within earshot, there is infighting and arguing amongst employees in front of customers. And when they are called out on it, They lash out at customers with obscene language. Stellar management, huh? Not really. This behavior seems to be encouraged by the owner as I have have witnessed him treating customers poorly at his establishments. Disgusting. I won't be spending my money here ever again. read more

Good food. They were fast and friendly. I can believe I waited until now to try them out! Too much to try in one trip. Excellent local spot. I had a large Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich made to order. Thumbs up! This review is for the Store in Madison Ga, at 1400 Eatonton HWY Suite 800 read more

This place is the truth! The dogs are so freaking big I had to use a fork. If you're a fan of chili cheese fries, (and if you're not, you should be), theirs are amazing. Tons of fries, tons of chili, tons of cheese. I'm pretty sure that eating here is taking years off my life, but quite honestly it may be worth it. read more

Traveling thru Covington and saw this place had great reviews. Stopped by and blown away by the hospitality of the staff. We ordered the "Heart attack Philly Steak", a different Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Hotdog combo ... OMG what a Great Meal ! The HAPS sandwich was The best that I had ever had ... which my wife agreed on her's too. My Daughter enjoyed the all beef hotdog and their sweet tea would be Grandma approved. Make sure you stop by and give this local business your time and money ... you will be rewarded !! read more

This was my first and last time visiting this place. I placed an order at 4:44 pm for a couple of philly sandwiches and burger and some wings. An hour passed and still no food. I'm seeing people that walked in after me walkout with their food so I asked about my order. They're all looking to see what's the hold up. The cook proceeds to yell you have wings so you'll have to wait. He then says just give her some wings. I told him no cook my food as I ordered it. All I asked was how much longer for the food. So we waited for another 15 minutes. His attitude was the worst! Placed an order at 4:44 and received it at 6:15. Unacceptable! If I could give them a zero I would. Never will I spend another penny there! I will be sure to spread the word on how bad my experience was!! read more

Excellent hoagies, generous portions, relaxed atmosphere. What's not to like?

The food is ok but the customer service is lacking.. The wait time is 25-30 for six wings and a fry?!? That's was ridiculous.. I all about the way you treat the people and I do not fell as if they have the best customer service .. I have been there on numerous occasions and it's always slow . read more

Don't let the view on the inside deter you from checking this place out. The view is not that great; however, who needs a view when the food is this good? If you need to get in and get out, call first. This place can get busy during lunch. I normally get the chicken philly- it is always delicious. Their fries are really good as well. They aren't skimpy and thin like fast food fries. Also, the portions are large, and I rarely finish an entire philly. I always have left overs- it could be because I eat all the fries first though. read more

Little Phillies is a close-to-home favorite of mine. They have my favorite Philly Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Wings that you can find in Covington. The staff is always very welcoming and creates a unique and enjoyable ambience. The food is consistently well prepared and filling. I've never had a complaint for them. The restaurant has a sportsy theme, has a pinball machine, and a pool table for entertainment while you wait for your food or as you dine-in. Overall Phillies is a great restaurant, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in Covington. read more

Let me first list the good points about Little Phillies in Covington. The food tasted great and was priced reasonably, and the staff was friendly. Now the bad stuff, I waited for 35 minutes for my food after placing my order. In all fairness to the restaurant, the long wait was probably because I didn't order their specialty - a Philly Cheesesteak Hoagie. I will not be eating there again. read more

I love their cheese fries and of course philly cheese steaks.

10/15/2016 I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and extra onions. The sandwich was lack luster with little seasoning with hardly any cheese, steak, or onions which I ordered extra but instead he gave me extra mushrooms. In the past I have always offered to pay extra for the onions and still my cheesesteak never turn out the way I wanted so I boycotted the restaurant for a year and half. I decided to give the place another chance today. My experience today has not renewed me to want to return. If they change the grill cook who has red hair and is a short guy, maybe others can do better tasting food. Every bad experience has always been when he was cooking. read more

Love the chicken hoagies here! Made to order... And so huge that it's impossible to finish the entire thing. My husband loves the chicken tenders and the Philly cheesesteaks. Don't love the actual restaurant... Pretty run down and dark inside... Food is great though. read more

All I can say is get the clipped wing if you think 3 won't be enough they are. There clipped wings are so big and flavorful. A lot of food for a good price. read more

One of my favorite places to eat. If you don't mind waiting a long time, the food is well worth it. I have had issues in the past where the staff, though very nice, seemed a little annoyed that you were bothering them. This is not the norm though. Overall, great place to eat if you are visiting the area or just looking for some great food. read more

I have been going to Little Phillies for YEARS! My parents took me as a kid, and now as a young adult I go there at least every other month. Of course, it is not for the health conscious person, unless of course you get a salad, which their house dressing is very tasty. Anything you get there is out of this world good. Clipped Wing Hoagie, Phillie Cheese Steak, Chili Cheese Fries.. Mmm Mmm Good! Staff is friendly, and everything is prepared in a timely fashion. read more

Freakin outstanding. Food was fresh. Hot. The staff was cool as hell. Awesome service. Not one complaint. If you leave here hungry. It's your dam fault. read more

Excellent food. Always get the mushroom onion cheesesteak. Stopped getting fries because the sandwich is huge. Sweet tea is always spot on. Best Philly's around! I would have never thought we could have such a great Philly so close to home! A little pricey but worth it!

My last visit I was very disappointed, the steak sandwich just didn't seem the same at all. It was all bread and not NEAR as juicy as it was in the summer. If you have to increase price I would would rather pay more and get the fat juicy steak sandwich from the past. read more

The wings are WONDERFUL!!! But the wait time and atmosphere are so lacking. At least 20 minutes for some wings!! I recommend calling your order and getting it to go! Its so dark and dingy in there and the place has poor lighting - its kind of depressing inside there. Great wings, poor atmosphere and no "customer service" at all - you pretty much get your own ... Everything. All that being said... I still recommend getting the hot wings TO GO. read more

I absolutely love Little Phillies, their clipped wings are my personal favorite. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is at times I've experienced major attitudes from the staff. read more

The most authentic Philly Cheesesteak I've ever seen this side of the Mason-Dixon line -- as real as it gets.

Overly fried food, salad that is simply lettuce, pickles, and banana peppers, and slow service.

I must say the food is great no doubt ...but today I was offended by what I saw .the cashier stood in front of me picked her nose twice and then took the inside of her shirt and wiped her nose I am looking like are you serious and the same girl picked up this steak hoagie with her hands and fixed the food and called the #.never once washed her hands I'm sure she did not notice me watching her but I make it a habit to watch the cooks and who ever is making my food if I can see them. But after that I seriously doubt I would be back .Even if the food is good I think your workers should not be nasty like that............. read more
