Tried to stop in and eat since the neighbor business recommended, sadly it was 9 minutes before they opened and I walked in since the door was open. They were quick to tell me they weren't open yet weren't very welcoming didn't seem to want my business so I left. We were really excited to try this place. We called in our order and the person taking the order was very rude and off putting. We went to pick up our order and experienced the same treatment. Can I give 0 stars. Overly fried food. Inconsistent quality. I can deal with both of these, but I cannot tolerate horrible customer service. They talk about their customers within earshot, there is infighting and arguing amongst employees in front of customers. And when they are called out on it, They lash out at customers with obscene language. Stellar management, huh? Not really. Although the decor has not been updated since 1974 and some of the booths look like garage sale items the food here is fantastic. My favorite item is the mushroom and cheese philly. The meat is tender and well seasoned on a fresh hoagie roll with generous amounts of cheese and mushrooms. Traveling thru Covington and saw this place had great reviews. Stopped by and blown away by the hospitality of the staff. We ordered the "Heart attack Philly Steak", a different Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Hotdog combo ... OMG what a Great Meal ! The HAPS sandwich was The best that I had ever had ... which my wife agreed on her's too. My Daughter enjoyed the all beef hotdog and their sweet tea would be Grandma approved. This was my first and last time visiting this place. I placed an order at 4:44 pm for a couple of philly sandwiches and burger and some wings. An hour passed and still no food. I'm seeing people that walked in after me walkout with their food so I asked about my order. They're all looking to see what's the hold up. The cook proceeds to yell you have wings so you'll have to wait. He then says just give her some wings. I told him no cook my food as I ordered it. All I asked was how much longer for the food. So we waited for another 15 minutes. His attitude was the worst! Placed an order at 4:44 and received it at 6:15. Unacceptable! If I could give them a zero I would. 10/15/2016 I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and extra onions. The sandwich was lack luster with little seasoning with hardly any cheese,steak, or onions which I ordered extra but instead he gave me extra mushrooms. In the past I have always offered to pay extra for the onions and still my cheesesteak never turn out the way I wanted so I boycotted the restaurant for a year and half. I decided to give the place another chance today. My experience today has not renewed me to want to return. The staff is always very welcoming and creates a unique and enjoyable ambience. The food is consistently well prepared and filling. I've never had a complaint for them. The restaurant has a sportsy theme, has a pinball machine, and a pool table for entertainment while you wait for your food or as you dine-in. One of my favorite places to eat. If you don't mind waiting a long time, the food is well worth it.
