Rooms stink like mold. Musty as if an old nasty carpet was never cleaned. Room was damp and humid so there's not good ventilation from bathroom. Once I got home and unpacked my clothes were damp and stunk. I have NEVER had this kind of a problem before or in any other hotel I've ever stayed at. It is screaming obvious the care the previous manager had is gone. I am now fighting off sinusitis from spending 4 nights here. I'm so disheartened. This has been my second home for years. I went back to the room and checked the mattress and found that they had a bedbug cover on the mattress that clearly was compromised in some way. We spoke with the front desk and manager, Harry. They were apologetic at the time and assured us we would receive a refund. We booked through priceline and were told to request the refund through them and that they would approve it. We requested the refund through priceline, who have tried multiple times to reach out to the manager, Harry for approval. He has not responded or honored our refund. We are requesting a refund of our night's stay, and warning other guests, DO NOT stay at this location. They have an infestation issue and are clearly unwilling to address it with their victims/guests.

This person lied about my calling, even though, my call log proves otherwise, calling four times until it was answered on the fourth attempt. When contacting the property on 6/15, Jordan at the front desk offered zero customer service then proceeded to HANG UP on me. In the proceeding conversations, she lied three times about this situation. Refused to escalate this to the supervisor nor provide me with their email address. Attempting to resolve this with their billing and management team has been an exercise in frustration. Retaining payment for services rendered is standard business; charging a customer for a room you actively gave away to someone else is, frankly, fraudulent. If you value consumer rights, reliable reservations, and ethical billing practices, I strongly advise booking elsewhere.

The Glover River has destroyed the same bridge over it, just a little upstream from the cabins 3 times due to heavy rains and flooding. The county finally got tired of continually rebuilding the bridge, so the last time it washed away, they decided to not rebuild. The owners were aware of the flooding potential hence; the cabins being elevated 8' off the ground sitting on piers. That was a good solution to protect the cabins, but what about the clients cars? These cabins are in a mess, a tent would be better.

I was willing to let all of this go as we did not stay in the cabin for a majority of the time we were in Broken Bow, but I found out today that there were roaches in our luggage as well as the trunk in my car. I had to get my car BOMBED as well as call an exterminator to come to my apartment. Meanwhile, we paid this company money for them to lie to us as well as send us back with an infestation. Though Broken Bow was a great idea, we will not be returning to Beaver's Bend Lodging ever again as the overall experience was low brow and traumatic.

The floors are creaky with charm, but there's a private bathroom in the room, window-unit AC, and a large and powerful space heater (we were toasty on a freezing night). Our room was clean, sheets were nice and the beds were comfy but the room didn't feel finished (bare concrete floor, exposed pipes and electric lines from the room above running along the ceiling). The bathroom was clean but tiny and a bit rundown. After seeing the room for the first time, I'm certain that had I been with my wife, she would have insisted we get back in the car and keep driving. The hotel restaurant is closed for business (not sure if that is temporary or permanent) but that was definitely the only attractive room in the building. The whole marketing emphasis of this place is that it's "historic" but it's only from the 1940's, my home is much older and I've never thought of it as historic. Frankly, it felt like the whole "historic" thing was just an excuse for being so shabby. All in all I'd say that whoever is in charge of cleaning is doing a wonderful job but the whole place is rundown and desperately in need of restoration. There were piles of black pubic hair and regular hair in the corners of the bathroom, mold on the tub, bugs on the walls of the room, broken pieces of Sheetrock all around the room. It was horrible. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, made noise every time you moved, and the bedding was stained. We slept fully clothed in long pants and shirts to limit our exposure to the bedding. I seriously would have rather slept in my car but my husband did not think the area was very safe enough to do that and we got in very late, not knowing where else we could stay. We were running late for a funeral when we left so we had no time to argue about a refund.
