I figured we would just run in really quick, get her bangs cut, and run out. My older daughter on the other hand, had a very different plan. She threw a FIT that she wasn't getting her hair done too. She was so sad! So after the hair dresser did my youngest daughters bangs, I winked at her and asked her if she could "cut" my older daughters hair. She picked up on it right away! Not only did she act like she cut my oldest daughters hair, she even put her hair up in these cute bun things! Absolutely no charge. The hair stylist we had was Melissa, she had awesome purple hair. I saw a high school aged girl come in with her mom to ask for a "wolf cut." Off the bat, I had to google what that was but one of the stylist knew exactly what that haircut was and began advising and being honest about how high maintenance that haircut was. The girl wanted the hair cut anyways, so the stylist went at it! I have 3 little girls, so I decided to have a fun girl's day to pamper them with manicures and haircuts. One of my girls got colored hair extensions and another got glittery hair extensions. It's been probably 6 weeks already and the extensions are still going strong! We shampoo, condition, hair brush and pony tail like usual and there are no issues! Also, if you are a millennial mom, you would appreciate the music selection :) They had TLC, no scrubs, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie just to name a few tracks. She then told me once she took the curlers out "perms aren't good for your hair they damage it" AFTER my hair was done not before. Also my main complaint wasn't that my hair was damaged it's that my hair didn't even get a perm. If she was not able to do what I asked when I asked can you do this, your stylist should answer the question honestly.

I showed Iris, pictures of my son's previous haircuts and explained that we wanted the same style, just slightly longer on top. We specifically mentioned keeping it at eyebrow length if not LONGER than that, but even while wet, it was cut above his eyebrows. We provided polite feedback during the haircut, but she did not receive it well and responded with noticeable attitude. She was not polite or receptive. My son was very upset and almost in tears when he got in the car. At 11 years old, appearance is important, and situations like this can be especially difficult for kids socially. I went back in to calmly ask her name (Iris) and explained how upset he is (she laughed) and a little advise that it's always better to cut less initially, since more can always be taken off, but hair cannot be added back. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude and unapologetic during that interaction as well. I should have not even paid for this hair cut as I am going to have to find someone that can fix and pay them.
