Been in Beverly Hills for years- never knew Little Joe was here just blocks from the casa. ROBBY executed a perfect fade - super clean. I like that it's a barber shop (hard to find in BH) and not a hair salon (100s around). Full services offered, nails, shoe shine, hair, and you'll get to meet Joe who opened the place in the 1960's. Little Joe has been cutting my hair since the late seventies. One of the things I missed the most during the eight months I was in Arizona last year was getting a good hair cut. One of the very first things I did after returning to Los Angeles in early December was going to Little Joe and getting a good hair cut again. Always Five Stars for Little Joe. Today's Five Stars are for today's new experience at Little Joe's. Been cutting my own toenails since I was old enough to do it myself rather than having my Father or Mother cut my toenails. As I have gotten older it has become harder and harder for me to cut my own toenails. Had a pedicure (for the first time in my life) at Little Joe's earlier today. The lady who did it did a much better job than I ever did, and did all sorts of extra things like massaging my feet, cutting a callus off the bottom of one of my feet, and getting all the dead skin off my feet. Little Joe is a Los Angeles landmark. First trained to cut hair as a child in Italy, Joe's been working from Beverly Hills since 1955. Little Joe is my brother's barber and my father's barber, and my grandfather's barber before that. (He was Frank Sinatra's barber too.) Been coming here for years, so I feel like a bit of a jerk for taking this long to write a review. The legendary Little Joe himself always gives me the perfect cut, and at times when he's been unavailable, other barbers like Robby have done terrific work as well. But I'd be remiss not to give a special shout-out to Gus, the immensely talented shoe shiner. I was worried my somewhat new dress shoes were already creased/discolored beyond repair, and aside from saving them, he also strategically darkened them to the point where any future flaws will be less noticeable. Oh yeah, and he's also one of the nicest people in all of Beverly Hills! This is less a review of Little Joe, and more highlighting a despicable reviewer: Scroll down to see a guy by the name of "Robert W" - this is a rich man (picture Ebenezer Scrooge) who felt wronged one time. If you go through his history of reviews, you'll see how highly he thinks of himself and how beneath him other people are. In one review he trashes another local landmark restaurant (Wallys). In the review he claims the restaurant didn't respect him and his dinner guest, despite his guest being a "Blonde 10." Well, Robert, not all of us are a "10" - and you're certainly a one.
