Really great experience at Barber Lab in Beverly Hills. I got my haircut and beard trimmed, and the barber did exactly what I asked for -- actually even better than I expected. He paid great attention to detail, and everything was clean, from the shop to the equipment. Very professional and definitely a place I'd come back to. read more

BarberLab - Husband getting hair cut - Barbers Near Me - Beverly Hills, California

Easy to schedule online... My son is always nervous and hates switching barbers... But it was time... traveling back to his old barber 2+ hours away had become inconvenient so I found this shop nearby my office... it's definitely a man-cave... But Jessie did an amazing job on my son's cut... it was exactly like the picture he showed him... my son was pleased... and I am relieved... It looks like he found his new barber! read more

Jesse gave me the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I told him I had gotten a haircut a couple days before and was looking for a tiny change and shape up and he was telling me how it looked absolutely terrible before and how whoever did it was crazy. I asked him for half an inch off the top and I had a couple inches of hair before I walked in and when I walked out I basically had a buzzcut, I had also asked him to give me a taper fade which he said he would have no problem doing, and then proceeded to not give me a taper fade as he was telling me it took him 20 years to master them. It was absolutely not what I had asked for and he kept telling me how he had "saved" me. He also had told me that his colleague said he could see how terrible my haircut before was as I walked in. It's a good barbershop if you are looking for terrible service, a bad haircut, and to lose money. read more

I've been looking for a new barbershop in my area that caters to young professionals but at the same time offers style and I'm happy to say my search is over. My man Maximus hooked me up with one of the freshest fades and beard shape ups and did it all with tremendous class, style, and impeccable attention to detail. The cut he gave me is equally suitable in the court room (I'm an attorney) and the club. And to top it off the man went above and beyond to offer an experience that was relaxing and therapeutic. Can't say enough good things about this shop and this barber. I'll be back again soon. read more

Ever since moving to LA from Florida, it's been a constant struggle to find someone who can cut African American hair texture. No matter where I went I kept getting my hair ruined by so called professionals. I then met Maximus and from that point on, I NEVER TRUSTED anyone else to cut my hair. The man is on point each and every time! Always consistent in terms of professionalism and availability. Customer service on point, he always takes care of me and makes me feel welcome. I go in for the full luxury treatment, hot towel and razor shave treatment with a fresh fade on the sides. Maximus is a true artist. If you're in Beverly Hills go check my man out, best barber I've ever met in Los Angeles. read more

Jesse is the man. Been a regular here since they opened up, and consistently great service. Fair and reasonable pricing, keeps the shop clean and organized and he knows what he's doing, head and face. Worth considering since it's one of the few places in BH where you can a haircut and beard done and not feel ripped off! read more

Jesse is a great barber and my son adores him. Since Jesse cut his hair and showed him how to apply cologne properly he has gotten girlfriends and is confident with his game going into high school. Although the rule is no kids in the chair until they shave, my son got a pass because he's glowing-up fast. Jesse is a great influence on young men who want to look sharp! read more

Best haircut, beard shaping and overall experience I have found since moving to LA some years ago Maximus never disappoints, his attention to detail, his level of customer care and service is 6 star and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else when I have a special event to attend, will be presenting in a public forum or on social media The guy just gets it ! I can only highly recommend him to anyone who wants that star quality attention to detail that many barbers tend to promise but fail to deliver And let's not forget the relaxation and chill out time under the steam facial and hot towels ! Love this place ! read more

If you're looking for a high quality haircut, with excellent service, this is THE spot to go to. I've been a client of Maximus for a long time now and he's always given me the BEST fades. This is coming from someone who's cycled through several different barbers over the years. Maximus is professional and will always take care of you. He is a true master of his craft and has immaculate attention to detail in all of his cuts. I always get compliments from ladies, friends, and family after my visits. Maximus is by far the BEST BARBER I've ever been to. Been going to him for years and he never disappoints. It's difficult to find someone who can get a good fade especially with straight asian hair. The only person I trust in fact he got me right for my wedding. 10/10 would highly recommend! read more

Booked with Maximus a day earlier as I was in Beverly Hills tending to a higher profile clientele for work. The cut was amazing, but the conversation was golden. I went to the Barber Lab in Beverly Hills last week as a first time client and I'm so glad that I did! I have been looking for a new barber in SoCal for a while and after meeting Maximus, I don't have to look any further. I can't even begin to describe how great the haircut was from start to finish. The entire visit was therapeutic. Maximus is gifted and his attention to detail is off the charts. He took the time to really understand how I wanted my hair and by the end of the cut I could not be more thrilled. I recommend Maximus to anyone looking for a true professional! read more

My Nephew recommended Barber Lab to me about a year ago. Haven't gone anywhere else since my first haircut. Completely professional, Classy, friendly and the best haircut in Los Angeles (and I've tried many barbers throughout the years). Absolutely worth every penny if you care about how competent and skilled your barber is! I've sent about half dozen of my friends and everyone of them, like me, is going to be a client for life. Can't recommend them highly enough!!!!!!!! A+ review. 6 out of 5 stars read more

Brought my son here after several botched haircuts. His hair is thick and puffy with growth in several directions...definitely takes a skilled barber to tackle it. Jesse is a true master...he has many different shears and electric razors and used multiple tools to achieve the look my sons always wanted but has found difficult to achieve with other barbers. The salon has a great masculine/old west feel and Jesse is dressed to impress. It is also off the busy Street so very private and relaxing. I can't imagine there is a better barber or barbershop in town! read more

Went to Jesse. Been going to him since he was at the Montage hotel barber shop. His cut and shave I would rate A+ I have tired almost every hair salon and barber shop in Beverly Hills and Jesse I would say is among the best. I have extremely difficult hair to cut and I'm very particular about my hair. I have no problem taking off my glasses and just let him do his thing and I'm sure my hair will come out perfect. Last year I was suffering from alopecia (it's temporary hair loss) it happen to affect my beard. Jesse took the time to carefully trim my beard so it looked like I had no hair loss at all. It was a hard time for me dealing with big, multiple ball spots but Jesse made it so I didn't have to worry. His expertise in beard shaping allowed me to keep my beard during my alopecia. Point is he really cares about his customers. The Barber shop is extremely private. Very quiet. Filled with top of the line seating in a luxury environment. It gives you a very personal feeling like it's your own personal barber shop and your services is done in a first class seat. Super easy online booking system. Very happy with Jesse and the shop Probably the best grooming experience I have ever had and I will continue to return for many years to come. read more

Jesse is great all around, excellent haircuts and straight shaves with great service. I first started going to him for haircuts before he set up on his own and stayed with him when he did, there's no one in else in LA that I would go to for a cut or a shave. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a barber read more

Professional and very talented, I would trust no other person but him to do a haircut and shave. I would say one of the best if not the best in whole area. The place is very clean and nice, super cozy with modern comfy seats. When you walk in you feel a great vibe. He takes care of every client in his unique way. Since each and every client has his own style and demands, therefore it takes a great effort from a barber to do everything correctly for the client to be satisfied. Jesse is no doubt the best!. read more

I called the number on yelp. It rang several times and finally I hung up and didn't leave a message. I was looking for a highly skilled barber to shave my head with a straight razor. Shortly after he called me back and I informed him that I am a cancer patient going bald for the first time and wanted to know if he was good at straight razor shave on the head. I also told him my friend was joining me to do it in support of me. He told me sure absolutely come on in at 5:45pm. I told him we'll be there! Little did I know he was actually going to leave after his 5pm appointment. Not only that he stayed late...he gave me and my friend such an amazing experience. I felt incredible during and after. So did my friend. But there's more. He ended up doing both my friend and I for FREE. Yes. Free. He didn't charge us and I have to say this man has truly touched my heart and just reminds me how many blessings I have. I gave him my word on something I will do for him after I'm healed which I can't wait to do. Go to this barber and you will feel and be treated as if you are his only and favorite client. read more

Jesse has that enviable combination of superb ability, professional attitude and great people skills. This is not a place to run in and get a quick 10 min cut. My advice is to plan ahead, relax in Jesse's chair with a glass of good whiskey and let Jesse do his magic. If I were asked to recommend THE place in Beverly Hills to get a haircut, it would absolutely be BarberLab. The location is new and there is a fair amount of remodeling going on in adjacent businesses but Jesse is creating one very chill space. read more
