Jesse gave me the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I told him I had gotten a haircut a couple days before and was looking for a tiny change and shape up and he was telling me how it looked absolutely terrible before and how whoever did it was crazy. I asked him for half an inch off the top and I had a couple inches of hair before I walked in and when I walked out I basically had a buzzcut, I had also asked him to give me a taper fade which he said he would have no problem doing, and then proceeded to not give me a taper fade as he was telling me it took him 20 years to master them. It was absolutely not what I had asked for and he kept telling me how he had "saved" me. He also had told me that his colleague said he could see how terrible my haircut before was as I walked in. It's a good barbershop if you are looking for terrible service, a bad haircut, and to lose money. read more

But it was time... traveling back to his old barber 2+ hours away had become inconvenient so I found this shop nearby my office... it's definitely a man-cave... I've been looking for a new barbershop in my area that caters to young professionals but at the same time offers style and I'm happy to say my search is over. My man Maximus hooked me up with one of the freshest fades and beard shape ups and did it all with tremendous class, style, and impeccable attention to detail. Brought my son here after several botched haircuts. His hair is thick and puffy with growth in several directions...definitely takes a skilled barber to tackle it. Jesse is a true master...he has many different shears and electric razors and used multiple tools to achieve the look my sons always wanted but has found difficult to achieve with other barbers. The salon has a great masculine/old west feel and Jesse is dressed to impress. It is also off the busy Street so very private and relaxing. Went to Jesse. Been going to him since he was at the Montage hotel barber shop. His cut and shave I would rate A+ I have tired almost every hair salon and barber shop in Beverly Hills and Jesse I would say is among the best. I have extremely difficult hair to cut and I'm very particular about my hair. I have no problem taking off my glasses and just let him do his thing and I'm sure my hair will come out perfect. Last year I was suffering from alopecia (it's temporary hair loss) it happen to affect my beard. Jesse took the time to carefully trim my beard so it looked like I had no hair loss at all. It was a hard time for me dealing with big, multiple ball spots but Jesse made it so I didn't have to worry. His expertise in beard shaping allowed me to keep my beard during my alopecia. Point is he really cares about his customers. The Barber shop is extremely private. Very quiet. Filled with top of the line seating in a luxury environment. It gives you a very personal feeling like it's your own personal barber shop and your services is done in a first class seat. Super easy online booking system. I called the number on yelp. It rang several times and finally I hung up and didn't leave a message. I was looking for a highly skilled barber to shave my head with a straight razor. Shortly after he called me back and I informed him that I am a cancer patient going bald for the first time and wanted to know if he was good at straight razor shave on the head. I also told him my friend was joining me to do it in support of me. He told me sure absolutely come on in at 5:45pm. I told him we'll be there! Little did I know he was actually going to leave after his 5pm appointment. Not only that he stayed late...he gave me and my friend such an amazing experience. I felt incredible during and after. So did my friend. But there's more. He ended up doing both my friend and I for FREE. Yes. Free. He didn't charge us and I have to say this man has truly touched my heart and just reminds me how many blessings I have. Jesse has that enviable combination of superb ability, professional attitude and great people skills. This is not a place to run in and get a quick 10 min cut. My advice is to plan ahead, relax in Jesse's chair with a glass of good whiskey and let Jesse do his magic.
