Goodrich Rd Pumpkin Patch - Drinks / snack area

Goodrich Rd Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch is our annual go-to place for all things Fall!…read more We have been going here for about four years and the experience has been wonderful each year, and gets a wee bit better each time. When we first started going, the Patch was very simple ... they had a large pumpkin patch and little stand with other smaller pumpkins, gourds, straw bales, corn stalks, and the like. They also had fun wooden cutouts of famous kid movie characters to stick your head through and get pictures, along with a number of old-timey tractors for the kids to climb up onto. Each year they have added more, and this year it was full of kid-friendly activities. There is a small little playground with a slide and see-saw, a large tractor pulled hay rack ride, a faster four-wheeler pulled ride where you can sit in barrels like a train, a small corn maze, a straw pit for the kids to jump into, and a pumpkin cannon (the littles might need headphones for the loud boom). They have also added a little cafe stand with beverages and treats. Dollar for dollar, this is a great value for your money. Let's face it, everything is getting expensive nowadays, but your money is gonna go much farther here at Goodrich Rd. Pumpkin Patch than at other places. Plus, it's not overwhelmingly crowded and crazy-filled with near amusement park type attractions like some other more expensive patches. The owners and staff that work there are extremely friendly and 100% family-friendly. They know folks come here for fun and to be out with the family - they treat everyone like that and are helpful, kind, and caring. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Patch and as long as we're living in these parts, we will Always go there every October for our Fall needs!

They don't charge you for every little thing. Entry and Playing is free. Prices for pumpkins and other squash are reasonable. My kids LOVE the hay pit. There is a covered area with seating near the play ground. But honestly, more than anything, it's just the feeling, the atmosphere. It's an unpretentious, welcoming place designed for people to enjoy spending time. The family the operates it is kind and gracious. Just can't say enough great things about this place.

There are a large selection of really nice pumpkins, a great corn maze, pizza, elephant ears, hot dogs, fire pit, goblin egg slingshot game, and a very well done haunted forest. They put a lot of thought, time, and effort into this event and they have a lot of actors who do a great job of scaring guests. The line is long, but worth it. They create space between groups so you get your own surprises. If you like haunted venues, this was fun. Probably best for kids over 9-10 although younger kids were there. You can go through during the day when it is only props and no actors. Definitely worth the trip.

I am not sure when they added the kids gift shack, the prices are great! They have day and nighttime Corn Maze, Halloween/Haunted Forest, Hayrides prices as well as a discount if you do all three. They have flashlights, T-shirts, Hoodies, Pumpkins, Corn Stalks, Gords, Cocoa, Candy, Gifts/Toys... for sale at good prices! They are 100's of pumpkins, a nice fire pit with chairs, clean port-a-potties and wash station, Goblin Egg Sling, and plenty of parking. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I come out here every year! We loved cutting sunflowers, and each picked out a pumpkin or three. Our rule is you have to be able to carry it to the scale/car yourself... LOL! The kids had a great time and did not want to leave! Thank you for the fun evening, we will be back again.

Ages. But we got gorgeous pumpkins and I grabbed a few of the fancy blue ones for decor. For three "medium" pumpkins and a couple small ones we spent $41!! What value. Where they get you is the corn maze. Skip it!!! If we could have gotten a refund we would have. Trust me when I say BEYOND disappointed. It was muddy. SO muddy. And that could have been remedied with hay on the ground. That would have saved everyone's shoes and cars. And it was $5 per person for a literal circle. It wasn't a maze. It was a circle. That took 5-7 minutes to slowly walk. That was insane. That's where we PAID for the pumpkins. Everything here is pay via Venmo or cash box on the honor system. That's why we paid out the wazoo for the maze. Ugh. How crummy!! (So you HAVE to use Venmo or cash ONLY!) A little bonus was being able to see baby sheepies and the kids loved feeding them corn stalk leaves and watching them. Sheepies!!! Anyway, next year is YES to Pumpkins and sheepies and NO to the maze.

I love that the farm is totally flat, making it easy to park and walk around. Seeing and hearing the baby and mama sheep was a delight. There is also a corn maze located toward the back of the property. The maze is a cool attraction but I have to agree with another recent review, it really isn't a maze at all. It truly is a circle or a lap, like taking a lap around the park. It's not challenging or engaging, it's just a muddy lap through the corn field. Spend your time with the sheep and the pumpkins & skip the maze.

Visiting Puget Island Garden Center is an adventure. Take a full day if you want to fully…read moreappreciate the Center and overall locale. The vision owners Gene and Dawn O'Neil have for Puget Island Garden Center is brilliant, something I haven't seen before:  They have benches, little round wrought iron table-and-chair sets, single and double sets of chairs for resting/sitting/reflecting and communing, even a hammock between two trees set off from the Puget Island Garden Center itself. What used to be a llama barn, Gene remodeled into a store where they sell all kinds of garden supplies and more.  It's an eclectic of their (Gene and Dawn) idiosyncratic creative interests, lovingly displayed. But there are actually 4 buildings, more like a garden complex. Each building has a purpose: in here are the veggie starts, this building has annuals for pots on the porch or deck, etc. The lovely part was how, since unlike urban garden centers with limited space, they have plenty of room, each structure spaced apart with rows of plants, set on table-like settings and, interspersed, are all those lovely little spots to sit and visit and reflect.  Dawn said their vision is to have the Puget Island Garden Center be a destination and indeed that is what it is!  They had healthy plants and trees of every type. So hard to limit what to buy! I bought a beautiful black lace elderberry I'm excited about. Natalie, the plant expert, is so knowledgeable. When my friend or I had questions, we went to Natalie, a brilliant plant goddess who looks herself as if she grew right out of a columbine, a very knowledgeable young horticulturist.  They have plans to use the rest of the 5 acres to actually grow what they sell, but for now, they have to buy the plants. Dawn and Gene, so friendly and generous with their stories, suggested we stop at "Little Island Creamery" where we needed to purchase the brie cheese because it had just won #1 'best brie cheese' at the national cheese organization. After we left, we went to The Spar (does every town and city have a restaurant named the Spar?) where we met the most delightful server, Wren, who served us one of the best sandwiches. What a memorable day.

This new garden center on Puget Island is an absolute GEM! Most (if not all?) of their plants and…read moreproducts are organic but listed at a fair price. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and Natalie, the Garden Manager, is incredibly knowledgeable about plants, gardening and landscaping. Oh and the garden center is leashed dog friendly, which is a huge plus I'm excited to come back and enjoy their upcoming events!
