I love how every week is an interesting theme and the kids come home with multiple creative projects that they make each day. In addition, the toddlers focus on learning 2-3 letters and a number each month along with a shape and a color and the preschoolers practice tracing their names, letters, and numbers along with scissor skills and lacing. The teachers are so wonderful and nurturing and the kids are stimulated, learning, having fun, and so proud of themselves. I couldn't be happier with this school.

When they went on to elementary school (in another town), I was asked (by their teachers) where they went to preschool/pre-K. I was told that they were more prepared than most of the other children in their class. Amazing! As a teacher/administrator, there is no where else I would want to work. I am the music teacher (for all 3 locations) and the after school and vacation program director. The home-like atmosphere provided at LTS is true and organic. While still professional, the teachers and administrators at LTS are intelligent, loving, kind, generous, honest, trustworthy, dependable, fun and just plain old nice! The 3 locations are all different and amazing in their own right. The programs offered at each location are well-planned, consistent, engaging and constructive. They helped her achieve all of her milestones and even got to do some fun projects along the way. As a first time mom, I realized she was getting older and I knew it was time for her to transition to a new classroom. Miss Abigiya and Miss Tseday helped make this transition much easier. The quality communication that they provide, the beautiful pictures that they upload to the app, and the activities that they do to get them fully prepared for her for next steps was an incredible experience that we are thankful for. My daughter was treated as if they are her own and we can't thank them enough for another incredible experience. Since then, my daughter has now fully transitioned to the toddler program with Miss Yanelis and Miss Yira. My daughter will come home and try to sing new songs, saying many new words, and continuing to have a great curriculum experience that is supporting her development. When she is in the hands of Miss Yanelis and Yira, I know she is well cared for, supervised, loved, learning, and having so much fun along the way. We can't thank them both enough for helping us transition into the toddler program at ease and supporting her development. As a working mom, no matter how many days pass, you have guilt leaving your child in the hands of someone else- but Miss Abigiya, Miss Tseday, Miss Yanelis, and Miss Yira made it that much easier. The love, care, and growth she is receiving from you both is unrecognizable and we know we made the right decision having her enrolled at KB South. Finally, I want to thank Miss Norma and Miss Carla for their hard work in the kitchen. Feeding well over 130 children, following allergy plans, and putting your heart and soul into every ingredient does not go unnoticed. My daughter has been able to try a variety of things while being at school and has helped her not become a picky eater. Schedules are about as convenient as you'll get with a school (vs daycare) and the flexibility to have another few hours in the afternoon as 'extended' day is a lifesaver at times to accommodate busy work schedules. She was super quick to respond to our emails and questions, very friendly, and very competent. We also liked the majority of teachers that we met who interacted with our child. The only complaint we made during our time there was that during drop-off and pick-up things always seemed a bit more hectic than they needed to be -- it seemed like having another teacher in there during that time would have helped. The other challenge was teacher turnover, though I imagine this is fairly common at any daycare center. Of the 12 or so teachers we met, five moved on in the year that we were there. Luckily they ended up being replaced by other great teachers. Our only reason for leaving is that a 10% discount on two children was still much higher than us just hiring a nanny.

If Joanie doesn't have an answer or a solution she takes the time to find out what avenues or people need to be involved to solve the problem. Also, it is very important to us that our kids play outside everyday and to learn about the environment around them. We love that Mudpies values how important it is for kids to be outside. I really can't say enough good things about Mudpies and most importantly about the staff. I NEVER worry about my kids in their care. They feel like our extended family. He was taught structure and discipline and manners while having fun with his friends! The teachers are fabulous and friendly and really have a way of making their lessons fun. All of the children feel included and loved. My daughter went to a public preschool for 1 year and it was a nightmare! She didn't learn much and the teachers couldn't be bothered to engage her. Once I placed her into WOW I saw a huge transformation in a matter of weeks. She thrived. Not placing my daughter in WOW from day one was my stupidity. I was trying to save money and it was a huge regret. You get what you pay for. This place is amazing. They do not have a large turn over because the staff is dedicated and never leave. It's refreshing. My kids often talk about WOW and like to browse through their memory books. Every child graduates every year and it's incredible. The kids feel so special and it's a nice way to acknowledge all of their accomplishments and achievements.

The amount of stuff they do every day is light years beyond what I would do with them if I were a stay at home mom. My older daughter JUST turned 4 and is starting to sound out words. She knew all of her letter right after she turned 3. My younger daughter has a few learning issues- she was nonverbal long after her friends all started talking and has some sensory integration issues. I had her assessed, but she ended up not needing services and I think a lot of that reason is because she's in this school. They are both so loved and cared for- the teachers become part of our family. On a more practical side, I LOVE the diversity that they are both exposed to. They completely take for granted that people come in all forms and I love that. I also love that they were both exposed to Spanish (at my request) when they were babies. I can't speak any other language no matter how hard I try. I really hope they can break that pattern! They get: - formal music classes every week - Pictures emailed to me every day showing me what they do - An awesome literacy and math program - Pizza lunch every Friday - Teachers who love them and are dedicated to what they do. I'm already getting nervous about leaving, and that's years away!
