The only reason we left, is because with the help of Acorn preparing her, she was accepted into the public Pre-K in our home town, (no IEP even, because of how well she interacts with kids and teachers alike, and how much shes learned). Best part- Acorn is nut free. My kiddo has a peanut allergy, like a lot of kids these days. And they are very good about checking everyone, and providing only snacks that adhere to your kids needs. They showed interest in the things that were important to him and incorporated his interests into his learning and development. From a logistics standpoint, staff were communicative, responsive, and attentive. The team handled our child's multiple food allergies professionally and confidently. We received detailed, personal updates daily. Even teachers and staff that weren't in his classroom knew our child and supported his growth and learning. They were flexible and supportive when we needed to change his schedule for several months to accommodate a family emergency, and were open to amenable to our preferences with big milestones (e.g., potty training). I'm not the type to write reviews, but I couldn't let my child leave Acorn without offering the kind of input I wish I'd had when we were first researching daycare options. We actually get a daily e-mail (also communicated through an app on our phone) with pictures of our son and details ranging from what he ate to when he pooped to all of the activities that they did and how they enhanced his learning in different areas like gross motor movement or fine motor skill. There's also usually a picture of him and other children. The APP respects your privacy and you cannot download pictures of your kid with other kids.

Keystone has one of the shortest school years and the least daily learning time, with frequent celebrations disrupting classroom flow. Staff appear professional, but interactions often felt cold. Don't just trust your gut during the tour -- notice how you feel dropping your child off each day. Trust your child. Speak up, even when it's uncomfortable. Things may have improved since, but more openness and responsiveness are still needed.

We found the school to be very bright, lively and clean. There is a big gymnasium / open play room that the children get to play in during the day and when they can't go out to the beautiful playground.
