The extent to which our oldest has flourished at My Montessori is staggering. By age 4 she could read and do basic addition. By the middle of this year, just as she was turning 5, we discovered that she has all the competencies expected of a child finishing 1st grade in our highly-rated public school system. Just as importantly, she has learned to be patient and helpful, considerate and kind. The teachers truly care about the students. I love dropping her off in the morning because I know she is going to have a wonderful day being loved, cared for, encouraged, and taught. The Montessori model has allowed her to explore so many things that interest her and the learning modules about outer space and the human body have been her favorite. Once a week a naturalist from Mass Audubon comes in to do a nature lesson and inevitably that night we hear all about how many acorns a blue jay can keep in its mouth, or how rabbits stay warm in the winter. She gets so excited and we love seeing her love of learning being cultivated so thoroughly. When a behavior issue arose with our daughter, the teacher called to speak to me about it, and we worked together to correct the problem. With a consistent approach at home and school, it was very easy for the behavior to be corrected with minimal stress on my daughter (or on me!) The teachers are communicative and supportive - I feel like they know it's tough raising kids and they honestly want to help the parents. I've really appreciated having them as teammates, working together to help my daughter learn and grow. I consistently recommend My Montessori to friends in the area, and will continue to do so.

The staff at BMS is incredibly diverse, which contributes to a rich learning environment for the children. They are exposed to different cultures and are developing a world view that is larger than their block. Miss Rubina takes a close interest in our son's progress, even suggesting curriculum and activities to keep up through the summer, which he has shown a keen interest in. The staff are incredibly involved and considerate. We are so grateful we have a wonderful school that we have confidence sending our child to. The only thing we are sorry about is that the school doesn't go beyond grade 1, we would stay as long as possible in this rich, nurturing environment.

This school is an scam. They need to be inspected for their harmful protocols. They have an…read moreevaluation process for kids age 2.5 to 4 year old. There is an evaluation session, they will schedule with your little child. A total stranger comes and take your child and walk the poor little kid away from you to God knows where!! Then the director keep you busy with bunch of unnecessary questions about your child (remember you and your little kid are not yet in contract with them). After around 40min, the child is back to the director office with that so called teacher (stranger). They give you no explanations on what happened to your child in that 40 minute that he/she was taken away from you. They give no explanation on what they mean by evaluation. Our little one came back looking shocked. When we left the school, I told my husband there is something big time wrong with this place, we are going to leave and we will never look back!

Their warm and caring nature and the small classroom environment have really brought out the best in our little girl. While Montessori is student-driven, the rules have really taught her a sense of structure and order which has helped in every aspect of life. She has even scolded family members for talking with food in their mouths! :) Her social and emotional growth over this past year has been phenomenal but so has her academic growth. She's now reading simple words and writing and has an impressive grasp on mathematical concepts. She's interested in other languages, cultures and countries and has learned about things in nature. She looks forward to going to school and even asked us to add an extra day to her schedule. When there is a week where she will miss a day of school because of a holiday or a teacher workshop, Miss Savi always offers to let her come on her day off (she currently goes 4 days) so that she's not missing a day, which tells me that she truly cares about her students' education. Sending her to Harmony has been an excellent investment in her development and we couldn't be happier!

The curriculum is fantastic- our kids learned so much! They also get outside everyday and do awesome crafts. The school offers many special classes (our kids' favorite was cooking class, from a real chef!) They really create a community for the families, and have many special traditions and events throughout the year. They also offer a great summer camp program that is very well run and convenient. The leadership team is excellent to work with and they run a tight ship. I wish we could stay there forever! But they have given our kids an excellent social and academic foundation for their elementary years.

When they went on to elementary school (in another town), I was asked (by their teachers) where they went to preschool/pre-K. I am the music teacher (for all 3 locations) and the after school and vacation program director. The home-like atmosphere provided at LTS is true and organic.
