We have been an Outer limits family for almost two years and loved this facility when we first…read morestarted. Now under the new director and assistant directors' leadership, our feelings towards this daycare have changed. Outer Limits used to be a warm welcoming place with caring teachers (which they still have) where someone was always at the front desk to greet you and knew you and your children by name. Now, it is quite the opposite. Not only do they not prioritize knowing your name, there is almost always an empty front desk when parents arrive, especially in the mornings. Safety has also been an issue recently as a result of this new management. For example, we had a family member do pick-up/drop-off for four days and hardly ever saw anyone, and when they did, they were never questioned who they were, who they were there to pickup, or ever asked for identification. The management is distant and aloof of who is coming in or out. Over the past few months, there has been a large amount of staff turnover and it's became very apparent as many of these staff members had been there for years. People talk and the talk is, the staff turnover is directly related to poor management. My family as well as many other families, have left because of the new management's lack of initiation, implementation and overall feeling of caring. Their lack of continuing/creating a welcoming and safe daycare is unacceptable. I decided to give the two weeks notice for withdrawing my child, because I was unhappy with all of the changes. Three days after I gave my notice, I received a call after business hours stating that my child was biting and was not allowed to come back for the rest of the week. On this very day, when I picked my child, the assistant director never addressed this issue, in fact it was one of the rare times a goodbye and a goodnight was offered. I attempted to call back within minutes, though no answer, and was unable to leave a voicemail because the mailbox was full. This is the type of unprofessionalism and poor communication, which is now a common occurrence at Outer Limits. We've had another child attend Outer Limits that aged out, and we loved our experience with previous management and staff. But unfortunately now, the atmosphere and how it is managed is far below any parent's expectations or tolerance.

He rarely was upset with drop offs but when he was the teachers did a great job redirecting him and providing him love. My son also made some great friends at the Sandbox that have been a strong foundation to his confidence and happiness and I owe this to the wonderful teachers and staff at the Sandbox Early Learning Center. I'm not sure about the other classes but we went through a couple teachers. They have a big playground my child loved to play on. A lot of toys. Art class. Science class. They had a lot of fun stuff to do there. The have fun extra things on some weekends. They also worked with the school district to get my child eval for an IEP. At the end of the day I went there after a week vacation and my child no longer had the same teacher again. So I didn't really know the new teacher at all. The guy working on the playground was also new and other new staff I just took that opportunity to just take my child out. I also wanted to mention I posted a review previously here when my daughter was still going here and just mentioning a "few small complaints but over all that I loved this place." And 3 stars. It was followed by the Risa in the front office calling me and screaming at me for about 20 minutes. Followed by nagging from other staff to take the review down. Also my complaint was about like basically all my child's teachers leaving. Obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. And the fact that my name isn't even on here and neither is my child's. The call was a bit surprising. But also eye opening.

They continue to provide a fun and engaging environment for our little one. The teachers and staff do a wonderful job creating memorable experiences. A special shoutout to Miss Savanah and Miss Jackie, if you ever get to meet them they are just the sweetest teachers to our little one and they really created a lasting bond. Happy Trails offers memorable experiences throughout the year with large spaces to burn off energy for outdoor play, water play with toys/water castles/slides/splash pads, and even a swimming pool option in the Summer for the older children. They occasionally have special guest appearances brought in from the Funny Foot Farm too. An added, yet amazing bonus is that they supply the snacks, and lunch. the lunches are warm and prepared by their school chef. My daughter loves the goulash and never comes home hungry. This makes the prep work for the week and mornings so easy. We are thankful for Happy Trails getting us through these young toddler years and milestones. I have full trust in the teachers at Happy Trails and especially the head of the program to create a safe, fun, and constructive environment for my kid. Whenever there has been a rare issue with staffing, I found that Terri, the head of the program, moves very quickly, and effectively to resolve the problem - always to the benefit of the kids. My family is not overly religious, and even though Happy Trails identifies as a Christian preschool, I've never had an issue with anything that they have taught or shared. I am going to continue to send my son to after school care at Happy Trails until he is too old to attend.
