So I felt that purchasing something from here goes to a good cause. I love that. They have a lot of clothing items, shoes, jewelry, books and household items for sale. I found a section of old cookbooks that peaked my interest. I found two really neat cookbooks from 1929 and 1949 that I had to get. I love old cookbooks and forgotten recipes from the past. I also found a set of 4 appetizer plate that had different images of cheeses on them. I thought they would be great to have for a charcuterie board. The ladies that volunteer their time there, are all so friendly. I had a nice time chatting with them. They signed me up for their rewards program where you earn points with every purchase. They also let me know that they welcome volunteers. I'll have to keep that in mind. It's a very nice store and a great place to find treasures that are intriguing. I will definitely come back and go to some of their other locations in the South Bay.

Plenty of shoes, bags, and jewelry, too. They still have lots of vintage items and they didn't seem as overpriced as they did a year ago. Nice sets of dishes, collectibles, milk glass, knick knacks, and books. I found an Eileen Fisher sweater in my size for an excellent price. What a nice surprise. The cashier tipped me off to a second one in green on the rack, but it wasn't my style. I appreciated her thoughtfulness, though.

The first part of the store inside has goodies / merch to buy. While the store is free to visit the cats, we felt obligated to buy something as we had a great time. The cats were so cute! I bought a coffee. In the interior cat area there are many cats inside, with many toys to play with. Lots of varieties. We saw one with inly 3 legs but he was so adorable!!! They came in different moods, some were napping and some were ultra hyper. The staff was very nice and it seemed lots of them were getting adopted. I always hear great ideas from people. It blows my mind the creative mind people have. They also have cheap furniture here. I got 3 adjustable tables. In the last I also got chairs. If you want inexpensive items to create things this is a cool place. When my daughter was in the 5th grade, we got items here for her science project. We created an environmental house. We even used recycled products from here. The die cuts are the coolest here too. I was able to buy products and then cut them here. I made crowns in the past. Now you need to make an appointment as it was really busy pre-CoVid.

Small but incredibly powerful museum in Japantown. We were fortunate to have a docent spend over an…read morehour with us, sharing not only the history but also her own personal stories, which made the experience incredibly engaging and meaningful. There is so much packed into this small space, and we walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the Japanese American experience. It's important to understand our history, both the good and the bad, so we don't repeat the mistakes of the past. An easy 5 stars and absolutely worth a visit.

The history and legacy of the immigrants are depicted and displayed in a tasteful and meaningful manner in this small, yet impactful museum. The highlight of the Americans of Japanese ancestry are the displays of the ten incarceration camps where 120K+ personnel of Japanese ancestry, the majority American citizens were forcibly removed from the west coast to the camps. In the back is a replica of a simple barrack room where families were dropped off to re-build their lives in a small area during the war. From the camps, men volunteered to fight in the European Theater (100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team) and the Pacific Theater (Military Intelligence Services). Their heroics are displayed as well. At the end of tour, the fight for the Reparations for the incarceration is displayed. San Jose's own Norman Mineta has a place of honor in the museum as well. A "must" visit when in the area - the museum is one that memorializes the history and experience of Americans of Japanese ancestry in America.

Clean parking lot, a ton of parking and upon entering my first impression was of how big it is!!! There were so many people and evidently resellers grabbing carts full of clothes and shoes. There is some sort of schedule switching out the bins and folks attack the bins---eeekk!! My friend and I were able to find some really nice pieces--a wool coat with fur collar, Zara, Ralph Lauren, Mango, Cotton On, Reformation, wool, cashmere and just some really good finds. Not many good items in the houseware bins a lot of junk with a couple good baskets. There's also a furniture section with some good pieces. There's a section with a few couches for folks to sit and resellers literally sit and relax taking breaks in between their day. Interesting. We spent more time in there than I'd like to admit and I walked out with 19 lbs totaling $59. WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK!!!
