This one was perhaps the honey's favorite because of the style and being down the street from a Starbucks he frequents. I added a few volumes (we had a big bag to donate today) but beyond nabbing a couple quilt books this locale mostly had military fiction so the honey didn't find anything he liked. Personally I really loved that this locale had a solid closing mechanism to the door, far too many LFL's sometimes have issues with the wind and weather because they don't lock. I love Little Free Libraries and this one is crazy close to downtown WG - so I'll probably be visiting it often! Yay Little Free Library!

"Well-Constructed Little Library"…read more While biking in the area, I I happened to come across this Little Free Library. It appears to be nearly new and well-constructed. It's also tastefully painted in a bright, beautiful shade of green, with black hardware trim. The hinges and the clasp all worked great. The library is on the grounds of a fairly large church, right next to the entrance. There is lots of free parking close by. The day that I visited, the box was jammed with all kinds of fun books. Special thanks to the members of this church for setting up this little library for the community.

It boasted a super cute painting on the outside and a fairly good assortment of genres, though we didn't find anything that peaked out fancy. We were used to how most of the LFL's we visited, you would see the front part, with the characteristic clear, glass window that you can see the books through. From the street however, it just looks like a pale, yellow box. The words Little Free Library are cutely written, but when you're driving, the writing is easy to miss. None the less, this LFL was wonderful. It had a little notebook and pen inside for visitors to sign or write notes. Judging by the sweet notes left and very scribbly handwriting, I could see that many kids enjoyed this notebook and little library!

It brings a community together by sharing their older books with neighbors and pretty much any passerby. This particular library looks like a mix between a bird house and a doll house. I like to add a few books I have already read to the collection. One day, I'd like to build one of these in front of my future dream house.

The idea of a little free library is to help improve literacy levels within communities. They do…read morethis by having free books within access to anyone, they are stored in these tiny little bird house looking things and put onto lawns of whoever wants to have one. My sister and I went on a Little free library adventure and actually ran into this one by accident! I wanna say this one must be relatively new because I didn't see its address pop up online. This is the only library I have seen in a such a public space (near one of the main streets near Willow Glen rather than a residential area) and its on the lawn of Coldwell bank. Unfortunately this one literally had 14 books and was for the most part empty. I have no idea if it was because its new or because people have been taking books and not leaving them in return... However it's okay because we ended up just leaving a couple books and not taking any and hope that helps out!

The honey loved the book selection, and was incredibly tempted by a cryptography book. I was excited to drop off a couple books I've had for a few years but never read and trade for a couple hardbacks that caught my eye. I'm super excited to read them! Loaded as in my sister and I had to take everything out to be able to see the books behind and so we could maneuver our way to see everything. I think it's great to see that this one must get a good amount of foot traffic and that everyone loves these little libraries as much as I do!
