And packed with lots of good reading material for kiddos about the age of the ones that would attend school here. It's also perfectly positioned to be a benefit to the community at large. The second was perfectly placed for the little reader headed into the main school entrance. It was right next to the gate by the front office. The selection here was a little lacking but my hope is that's because it's got so many kids finding their next amazing story right as they walk into school. A double-barrelled resource for the eager readers of Lancaster. Ooo, and I almost forgot the little fairy doors at the bottom of each LFL. I mean you gotta have a place for the fairies to come in and out! Awesome!!

They carpeted the interior. They decorated it with crazy googly eyes on top of long wobbly springs. They plugged the rotisserie holes and covered the window with a bit of paper to keep the books in good shape. And I understand there's often a silly poem or limerick in front. Turning a BBQ into a goofy, 3 eyed alien is hilarious. Having that alien open his mouth to reveal a head full of books is just phenomenal!

Considering all the fear and anxiety that so many people are going through with the Corona virus it was sweet to enjoy a little person to person interaction and a little human kindness. It's nearly as vital as the air we breathe.

I thought the address might been botched or that…read morethe person who posted the listing must have somehow been wrong but a close look at the single photo and some snooping around was rewarded with a very generous Little Free Library and the sense that I had discovered a wonderful, little know piece of Claremont. I was so excited after failing and then eventually finding this LFL that I took a few photos that would make it's location more clear. But once I thought about it I realized that the hunt and the eventual success were the most fun elements of the process. So I'll give no more hints than this. The address is correct and the photo is accurate. The selection was a bit thin and there is an unusual amount of room inside this LFL so if your bookshelves are bulging with items you've already enjoyed here's your chance to make someone's day! Go. It's a small library in the shape of a cat, it sits in front of a private home and is well stocked with a diversity of books. I had a brand new book in my trunk so I made my trade. This little library is nestled deep in a Silver Lake neighborhood. I wish my neighborhood had something like this. We lucked out with parking since the street is a narrow residential street. If you do visit, keep in mind you're in a quiet residential area. You can always park your car by the Silver Lake reservoir and take a short walk up .

It's got little cat quotes from Charles Dickens and Leonardo da Vinci neatly scrawled on it in blue paint and a penatgonal door with two latches. Its two shelves were packed with a pretty diverse selection of books, including a few for children. I left a copy of T.C. Boyle's "Riven Rock" and picked up a curious volume on conspiracy theories. I'm a fan of the whole program, and it takes guts to put your address out there the way these little library owners do.

The book selection is always interesting, and I have many books to donate but will go out of my way to donate to a different one because I don't want my treasures to have a massive sticker in them or to be limited to one geography.

This is the very first Little Free Library in Azusa, Ca. All of the paintings on the outside of…read morethe library are hand painted with acrylic paint. On the back the Brownie Girl Scout Troop put their hand prints on it. This little free library is open all day everyday and is stocked daily with new books for any and all to take. You can also bring the books back and swap them out for other books. You can also donate your own books to this free library. Hope the community utilizes it. Although most of the books are children books there are adult novels in there occasionally as well. What's better than promoting reading...nothing except free books!!!
