Their organization supports many local needy families with education, clothes, and financial assistance. The architecture itself is a contrast to euro-anglo-Claremont, and showcases indigenous mud-based architecture. The bilingualism of this organization demonstrates the riches of California and especially its hardworking and community-spirited Latino peoples. I say this because she just left me in the front saying the guys would help me. To her credit she did seem pretty busy however first impressions.... Didn't see any helpers so I went back again to the office part and a very friendly and polite young man sitting at one of the desks led me to a walk in fridge and immediately I fell in love. Basil, green beans cilantro eggplant Swiss chard kale turnips carrots guava wow. There was way more variety then that I could not recall them all. All grown right there on the property and cultivated with a love for healthy eating and respect. I was thrilled to have landed there. Fruits and veggies and herbs are not cheap in the grocery store and as I am coming to learn are often genetically modified and coated with who knows what kind of chemicals and pesticides. I loved the fact in First of all the place is huge. There is a Methodist church in the front then you take a long winding road with some turns the property was beautiful and I had one of my dogs with me who was recently attacked by a much bigger dog and was clearly traumatized by the incident. Scared to go outside and body language spoke for him. Dog owners know how to read and recognize their pets To watch my sweet little soul mate excited to be outside sniffing everything so many types of plants and vegetation birds singing, butterflies and bumble bees, up and down a few paths we explored. The young man told me that I'm welcome to come back they are open Monday thru Friday and if I wanted to come everyday that would fine too I left with 2 grocery bags full of wholesome and healthy produce and my dog and I left with a little more pep in our step due to our adventure in nature at this incredible place.

I follow on IG mentioned Craft Collective as being a new business that was supporting local artists, and I had to find a way to make a visit. Located in Ontario, it's right around the corner of Logan's Candies, and down the street from Unique Cafe and Newsboy Books. I was able to do street parking without too much issue, but I also visited on a weekday (Friday) versus a weekend. But it seems like there should be enough parking even on a weekend! There are still some displays being setup (I walked in when they were building a paper mache piece in one of their windows), but there is a LOT to see when you come by. There are various artists on display now, and more to come! I loved seeing all of the amazing colors and the creativity of folks, and I loved seeing some of the artists that I already follow (including @supercoolspyclub). After making a visit here, there were definitely more artists that I now had to follow on IG! You WILL find something for everyone at this shop. Between the stickers, keychains, art prints, small art pieces, large art pieces, onesies, t-shirts, etc., there are gift options everywhere. Highly, highly recommend to make a visit, as what I took pictures of today may not be available months from now. I was also able to meet the owners Eva and Jonas! Lovely couple, and we were able to chat about the artists and the joy of art. I can see its future as being a gallery/store, and it's such a nice space to really display art, or do workshops (took a picture of their t-shirt printer!). Prices are variable depending on the artist! Keep in mind that all work take time and effort, but some take a looooot of hours, and the prices should reflect that amount of time. Since it is a high school, you must show your IDs at the gate to be given a badge to get onto campus. The museum is closed Sunday-Tuesday. Wednesday -Friday from 11am-5pm, and Saturday from 11am-5pm. Admission Pricing (March 2026): $12 General $9 Youth/Senior $9 Student with ID FREE 4 and under FREE CA teachers, EBT & WIC cardholders This museum is 2 levels. The top is a chronological walk through history and the bottom level is more of a hands-on interactive play area for kids. We spent about an hour at this museum. We had so much fun exploring history. In order we went through the Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic periods. The fossils and skeletons were so fascinating. This would have been such a great spot for a field trip back in grade school. I had a lot of fun exploring history and taking selfies. Highly recommended for those who enjoy dinosaurs, fossils, or history!

There is parking in the front of store, but it usually gets taken rather quickly especially between 2 PM to 4 PM on weekdays. You can also park in the back, near the area where donations are dropped off. I usually come on Tuesdays, where discounts usually don't apply to me. I like Wednesday's where there are student/teacher discounts. To my luck, I went on a spin the wheel day today! You get to spin the wheel after your purchase for an opportunity to win items or get a discount. I like browsing their toys, vintage items, and office supplies. I usually get very good second hand items such as staplers, hole punchers, DVDs, shoes, and board games. This location is actually my favorite place to shop for vintage film cameras (I'm afraid to post this because my fellow Yelp friends will be coming more to grab them before I do!). Today, I bought a good pocket minolta film camera, some stuffed animals, and some office supplies. The cashiers are sweethearts and are willing to help you look at items! They also have an extensive amount of used clothes and furniture. It's definitely my favorite thrift store and will continue to be so.

Part of what makes a great thrift store fun is the hunt, the setup, the vibe, and finding those unexpected treasures but here it felt like there was just a lot of stuff without much organization or thought behind the layout. The pricing was another thing that surprised me. A lot of the prices didn't really make sense for a thrift store and felt on the higher side compared to other spots I've visited. The atmosphere was just missing something. No cool decor, no personality, and overall the vibe wasn't there for me. It feels like it caters more to an older crowd, which is totally fine, but just not my style of thrifting. Also, no restroom available, which is always frustrating when you're shopping and spending time looking around. 4/10 for me. I love discovering new thrift stores, but this one isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit again.
